  1. Don't worry Hill fans, the offense will get rolling. Carters first season at South took a few games for the offense to gel, but as we all know he knows how to coach offense. By mid season this team will be putting up the points. you've got one heck of a staff (of course im a little partial). How's the new stadium coming?
  2. This team will get better as the year goes on... The coaches seemed to make some good adjustments we just shot ourselves in the foot with the turnovers. The staff will coach em up. Keep your heads up Rebel Nation.
  3. Tough night... We turned the ball over way too much... Fought till the end but came up short 19-14 west.
  4. Ah, good to see you on these boards 2000. Congrats on your first post and on the DB victory last night. Welcome to Coach T. Preciate the updates
  5. I understand and that's your right to feel that way. But I have to disagree with it. Anytime we beat someone OOC it looks good on the entire conference and ne tn, that's why I pull for DB in their OOC clashes. That being said, my prediction is south 27 west 17. Should be a tough game, but I think the emotion of the night will carry us thru. Cmon big blue let's get it goin!
  6. Preciate it Spear... Heck of a game DB played last night, congrats on the victory. I hope we can pull it off tonight and represent ne tn well!
  7. DB 14 Farragut 0 2min to go in first half
  8. Good luck tonight Indians. ThIs rebel is pulling for u tonight, may even try to get up to j Fred. I can't make myself wear maroon and grey but I'll be cheering u on either from the stands or listening at home. Good health and safe travel to all those who take part in tonights ball game.
  9. I kid with you good sir, in all actuality I'm just ready for kickoff, the beauty of the high school season is that it's all settled on the field.
  10. well gosh almighty sir I apologize for wasting your oh so precious time. Maybe u can pull ur head outta ur rectum and enlighten the rest of us
  11. Next up... Week 0... Knox West... ill be there will you? It'll be an emotional rollercoaster for the boys in blue. We've got a brutal early schedule in my opinion. Lets start it off right with a victory over our brothers from West. See you there
  12. well you cant tell alot from a jamboree... but ole kenny hawkins had the highlights on channel 11 and that receiver from science hill looks like trouble for the rest of the big 8... i know it was vs. the cougars but still. up next on the agenda... week 0, i'll be there will you? I hope to catch the clash between DB and Farragut and then the emotional rollercoaster that will be in Death Valley. Good luck to all teams, except when you play South. Good health to all whomever the opponent. (don't know if thats the correct usage of "whomever" but whatever the season is here i'm all jacked up!) Through all the trash talk and garbage on here sometimes, lets all not lose sight of whats important here. The health and well being of these young men is #1. Good luck to all Rebels, Indians, Hilltoppers, Vikings, Blazers, Pioneers, Falcons, and Cougars. Stay classy tri cities!
  13. Thank you for the update good sir! I heard from someone on a UT Board that #15 for South was impressive, anyone know this players name? Thanks again!
  14. Anyone care to give a rundown of the jamboree? Who won the events? And yes I kno it's just the jamboree but how'd the teams look? Carter come out guns a blazin'? Clark play it close to the vest? Haynie have the Rebs ready? Thank u gentlemen!
  15. Can i get a rundown of the jamboree... who won the events, what did the teams look like (i know its just the jamboree), did carter come up guns blazin' like usual? Thank you, and have a good day gentlemen.
  16. great!!! I've been wanting to catch a glimpse of the team but had thought all the scrimmages were away. Thanks for the correction core. What time does it start friday?
  17. As we all know you cant read too much into a scrimmage... However blocking and tackling are fundamental... Lets be patient, it's early... Anyone going to the Betsy scrimmage on Friday?
  18. lol... truthfully, i am wacojacked about this season. I don't know how its going to turn out but should be interesting none the less. Knox West, Greeneville, Gate City, Boone, Tn High, DB, and Carter Hill on south's schedule. All have interesting story lines to me. I would like to catch the DB v farragut game as well. South has a tough non conference schedule.\. Sevier Co, Farragut and Clinton is a tough non-conf slate as wel. Any idea if Oak Ridge will be back on the schedule anytime soon? i would also like to see a non-conf clash with maryville for the indians as well. At this point im just ready for any game, im tired of watching college flash classics.
  19. Don't get it twisted jac, rebel here thru n thru whether 9-0 or 0-9. I just think it'll be an interesting matchup, I also look forward to tenn v Boone, hill v db
  20. As a former reb I believe Boone is the team to beat this year... A little bit of irony for ya... Coach Jenkins was on the staff the year we started the streak vs Boone in 2000... I usually don't make it out to watch other teams in the area, but I'm gonna try to catch the Boone v db game
  21. i posted this on the Big 8 thread as well, but just in case you didn't see it here it is again fyi... TSSAA Adopts New Concussion Policy TriCitiesSports.com July 21, 2010 HERMITAGE -- The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association is implementing a new concussion policy that all member schools must follow beginning with the 2010-11 school year. The TSSAA Board of Control passed the policy unanimously during a conference call on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. It is very important that every administrator, coach, parent, official, athlete, and health-care provider know the symptoms and steps to take when dealing with student-athletes that display signs of a possible concussion. Concussions can be a serious health issue and should be treated as such. “We are very pleased that our Board of Control has taken this proactive approach and given our schools clear direction as to how we address this issue,†stated Bernard Childress, Executive Director. “It is our feeling that the concussion policy keeps athletics at our level in the proper perspective – safety of student-athletes first and foremost.†TSSAA is asking the administration of every TSSAA/TMSAA member school to meet with their coaching staff immediately and implement this policy prior to the beginning of the 2010-11 sports season. The state office will distribute this information to as many officials, athletic trainers, and health-care providers as possible. We ask that school personnel do the same in their area. This information should also be given to all parents and student-athletes. Detailed information, including the language drafted by the NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) that will be included in every sport rule book publication, can be found on the TSSAA website (www.tssaa.org) by clicking on the “Concussion Rule†link. The NFHS has also developed a free 20-minute course online entitled “Concussion In Sport – What you Need to Know†that we encourage every individual to take. It can be accessed at www.nfhslearn.com.
