Let's not let Smyrna off the hook either because we had two teams trying to lose. And there is really nothing the TSSAA can do but change the format. This is not about just Riverdale but all coaches who would do this. There are more out there who would do this than you would think.

Principal should fire him but it will never happen because they don't care as long as they win.

Riverdale has a reputation of winning at all cost and this is just the latest example. Goes back to football where the coach couldn't beat Brentwood Academy so he cried until they were moved to private division. Then the girls basketball program was caught cheating or recruiting middle school girls. I guess if you don't get caught it is ok with you too. Shame on Riverdale and the administration for allowing these things to go on. As long as you win there it doesn't matter how you do it.

Smyrna looks almost as bad. I just wonder why they decided not to lose after trying so hard not to win? Both teams should be ashamed for disgracing the game. And this strategy to get to state is poor lesson of winning at all cost. Would not want my daughter to play for a coward like this.

So I guess you will be happy with a silver ball since your coach doesn't believe he can beat Blackmon. However you want to sugarcoat it, it is CLASSLESS!

Makes you wonder about the character of the coach if he has this win at all costs attitude.

Page has a new coach and very good pitching returning. Cascade has all of its pitching returning. Should be a lot of low scoring games as pitching seems to be the strength of this district. Who can hit the best?

If a time-out was called then the basket can't count. If she had missed there would be no one complaining. Huntland won all three games so it would seem they are the better team. How many technical were given to Slatten after the game?

One video I saw showed the girl dribble to the backcourt to get a violation because the defender wouldn't take the ball from her. It does happen more than you think. T$$AA will not make it an elimination game because money is more important than integrity.

What a disgrace to the game! The TSSAA needs to make this an elimination game to stop all this nonsense. It happens every year when you have a powerhouse in a District. It is not fair to the other #1 to have play a team that is clearly not a #4. Hope they both lose next game.

Tuesday for boys.

From a fan's point of view hope the games are close and exciting. All have worked hard and will do well in Region.

Would be surprised if they played on Sunday but baseball has done it when rain became an issue. They may just go by seeds that are left and send them that way.Not what you would like but may be the only way to get it done. Hopefully rain will wash the roads off this morning. Everyone have a safe drive.

Not going to happen. Lots of rain but should be safe to drive.

These two games are both going to be close. MTCS by 5 and Huntland by 4. Would not be surprised if both games were reversed. Don't expect Pierce to score 40 something again so supporting cast must come through. Moore Co. playing well but Huntland seems to match up well with them. Should be a great night! Good luck to all.

The only difference I see in CW and CPA is Blackwell. CW is much more athletic than they are given credit and have very skilled players at every position. Don't think Waverly matches up as well as CW. CW has a very good chance to beat CPA. No fear.

That will be a great game (against CPA) and atmosphere! CW is for real and will be in State.
