District 9A is better than 10A but is still a weak year compared to the past several years. No team is dominant with most having a chance to win each night except Boyd.

Why the inconsistent play? A lack of a good point guard may be the problem.

With 1/3 of the season over, has much changed with the top four? Looks like Eagleville and Cascade are the two best with Forrest,MTC, and and Community battling for the 3 and 4 spots. VB will finish 6th and Boyd last for the fourth straight year. Forrest must begin to shoot better or they will finish 5th. Community and Forrest game on Friday is the biggest game of the week with the loser falling completely out of contention for the bye. If Community loses they will probably finish 5th because of the MTC loss. Every team can lose to each other in the top five.

Forrest and Cascade should be an interesting match-up as both teams like to pressure the ball. Forrest must start shooting the ball better to have a chance. Cascade has the best player in the district with Carkuff and plays solid defense. Cascade to win at home.

Community is missing their most important player (Stallings) but there is no excuse for them losing to VB. The Vikes already have put themselves in a bad position with two losses they shouldn't have. Eagleville and Cascade look to be the teams to beat early on.

Don't believe the top four has changed but the Community loss to MTCS will hurt when it comes to tie breakers. Forrest losing that badly is a surprise. You are definitely right when you say the district is down from last year. Lots of basketball left.

This is a very balanced district with several teams fighting for the top four spots. Boyd is the only team that cannot compete for the top. Forrest and MTCS will fight for first and the next four will battle every night. Looks like a great year in 9-A.

When you see the game being called tight, you have to adjust to the way it is being called. Some coaches will continue to be aggressive thinking the officials will eventually quit calling it. But you better have great depth to do that.

The top four are not much different. MTCS is a solid fifth. Van Buren will be better than Boyd. The top four all have their strengths and weaknesses. Forrest and Community both have experience. Cascade and Eagleville have more athletes. Would not be surprised to see multiple tie-breakers being used for the top seed. What happens if all of the top teams split with each other and sweep the bottom teams? Should be a great year.

Saw them at camp this summer and unless they were missing several players, they did not look very good.

This is probably the worst team MC has had in 25 years. Cornersville is vastly overrated. Culleoka is the easy winner of this district.

Not counting them out because the Viqueens are well-coached and are talented but they don't seem to play well together. The other district is one of the worst in the state with the 4th seed from 9-A being as good or better than their best team. Anyone who can make the region has a chance to be in the Sectional. Boyd is the only team which probably can't be in the mix.
