Wouldn't be surprised by an upset in one of these games either. Just can't figure out which one it will be so I'll take both favorites. How will the week off effect VB? Look for two close games.

Everything is set up as predicted. The top four from last year are still standing but the district is not near as strong as last year. Everyone is a little bit weaker and has holes. Should make for a great semi-final round. Good luck to all.

Sounds like it was a great game between Community and Cascade. Can someone give some details of what happened. There always seems to be a player like Small who comes out of nowhere to make a difference.

In the first round it will be all the home teams winning. Good luck to all the teams as we should have two teams in the Sub-State.

Congratulations to Coach Sullivan on being named Coach of the Year. Great job of taking your team to an undefeated district season. Runs a class program.

VB did beat MTCS in an earlier matchup. They would face each other in the semi's. Agree that Forrest has a very good chance to make it to the state.

Only three teams have a shot at winning this tournament: Forrest, MTCS, and Van Buren. Forrest is by far the best team but teams can have a bad day. MTCS is good but not as deep as Forrest. VB can be very dangerous. Community and Cascade are a good match in the 4-5 game. Eagleville does not have enough scorers to win. Boyd has no hope.

Regular season turned out pretty much the same with the top four from last year being the same as predicted . District not as strong as in the past but very balanced.This is how I see the tournament:
VB: the best combination of guard and post play. Simmons will be the key factor outside of the obvious.
Eagleville: good post play and solid point guard. Wings will be the key for them to win it all. Defense is a weakness.
Forrest: play very hard but lack on the offensive end. Great coaching job this year of getting the most out of his talent.
Cascade: have the talent if they can just put it together at the right time. Must rebound better to make noise in the tournament.
Community: playing better now that they have a new guard in the lineup. White must continue to hit 3 if they are to advance.
MTCS: physical defensive team but lack consist scoring.
Boyd: by far the worst team.

Senator, you must be very naive if you don't think recruiting doesn't go on in both private and public schools. Girls playing AAU are the ones who are being recruited the hardest. All the things you read about on here are true . Honest coaches are the ones who pay the price as far as winning goes. but at least they have their integrity.

Anyone who can average around 10 3's a game is not overrated. Coach Anderson still does a great job.

Cascade has the tie breaker even if they lose because they beat Forrest who is third.

Only thing to be decided now is who will face Boyd as the 2 seed. Forrest will be the 3 seed and facing MTCS Cascade will host Community in the 4-5 game. This should be a great tournament with anyone of the top six having a chance on a given night.

The only people who are penalized are the people who follow the rules. The TSSAA cannot enforce the rules that they have . People are going to fake addresses and lie to be eligible. You can call the TSSAA and they will tell you they can't do anything.

This is getting to personal. There are exceptions for everything. If you are always black and white you will eventually get burned by your own rules. If a player is missing they should have to do something,but use common sense. Heard of a situation where a kid was going to Hawaii with his parents during Christmas and was going to miss a tournament. What would you do?

I would agree that Cascade and Forrest are the teams to beat. No one else will even come close to these two teams.Eagleville and MTCS will probably round out the top four. The other three will have to battle each other for the 5th spot. Didn' t Eagleville lose their coach?
