bearden lost the game, but it was not a fairly called game. not saying it was called in smyrnas favor, but anytime a game is poorly called(i was at the game, and the game was poorly called overall) it calls into question the integrity of the game and the results. in my playing days i felt horrible if there was ever a game called completely against me, but i also felt bad if there was a game called for my team. bearden therefore is having trouble accepting the outcome, as anyone who has ever played football would. this does not mean smyrna doesnt deserve a shot at the state title or they had anything to do with the refs. dont be so hard on the people questioning the refs. just curious, who all has actually played footall

both teams played extremely hard tonight, and it was an amazing game to watch. there were a few very questionable calls, but that is football, and it does happen. bearden has no reason to hang their heads after this game. they overcame alot this year and busted their hind ends tonight. there is no shame in that. unless you were on the field and worked like all these kids from both teams have, you should have nothing but positive things to say about all of them, because we could have done no better. being a bearden fan i am torn up that they could not pll it out tonight, but i am extremely proud of what they have done this season, tonight, and the young men they have come to be. i wish smyrna all the best next week, and i congratulate them on their season thus far.
