  1. Here is a link to the would be brackets when they get posted http://matcontrol.org/wrestling0910/Region_7.html
  2. I will put up the seeds top 4 only 103-Gonzales-(ross),maples-(mont.cent),Roberts,(nwest),Treloar-(hville) 112-Eads-(syc), Collazos-(ross),Smith-(spring),Newton-(clarks) 119-Morrison-Nwest),Oliver-(spring),Cantrell-(harp),Dowlen-(Cheatham) 125-Sheppard-(dickson),wilson-(neast),Isbell-(clark),Bass-(harp) 130-Thomas-(neast),DeMillia-(ross),Pickney-(Beech),Hill-(Mont cent) 135-Jordan-(clark),Price-(mont cent),Scarbrough-(dickson),lampley-(harp) 140-Perry-(mont cent),Hall-(clark),Cozine-(ross),Newton-(hville) 145-Isbell-(clark),Knox-(dickson),Kucinski-Mont cent, Bosanko-(nwest) 152-Baggett-(clark),Roberts-(Beech),Mead-(hville),Moore-(knwood) 160-McGaha-(clark),Bradshaw-(harp),Robles-Kenwood),tyer-(dickson) 171-Talley-(dickson),Leach-(fairview),Conner-(hville),North -(ross) 189-Todd-(ross),West-(nwest),childs-(west creek), hollis-(dickson) 215-Jaeckel-(hville),Yunis-(ross),shakeenab-(neast),slack-(dickson) 285-morrison-(nwest),cassidy-(fairview),Perry-(clark),west-(spring)
  3. Rigger I got to agree with you. Most times a 103 is a first year freshmen put in to fill the spot so not to give up 6 but this region has some of the better 103's I have seen in a long time. And I believe the top 4 from this region will make some noise down at state! Good luck to all of them!
  4. I think Mitch is a very good wrestler. That is why I have him listed as the number 3 in our region.
  5. Does anyone have any idea if there will be a Parking Fee for either the State Dual Tourney and/or the State Individual Tourney? And if so... how much? Thank you
  6. I love the spirited debates on who will place in each weight class BUT PLEASE LET'S NOT HATE ON THE KIDS THEMSELVES! They have worked to hard to get this far. Now "Itswrestlingtime" the reason Rossview has a few more people on the list is because their coach has posted a lot more of their matches on NWCA for the public viewing. So it is easier to see who their wrestlers have beaten and lost to. Ok with that said "Itswrestlingtime" who do you see that should not be on the list or should be lower in ranking and why? As far as the 103 kid Gonzalez it is based more on the process of head to head matches: Jeremy Gonzalez beat Jacob Maples 5-3, Donovan Roberts 5-3, Donovan Robets 7-5 OT, Dylan Treloar 7-3 and only lost to Dylan Treloar to a pin. Jacob Maples beat Donovan Roberts 4-2, Donovan Roberts 6-0, Dylan Treloar by pin, and his only lost to Jeremy Gonzalez 5-3. Donovan Roberts beat Dylan Treloar 13-5, he has lost to Jeremy Gonzalez 5-3, Jeremy Gonzalez 7-5 OT, Jacob Maples 4-2, Jacob Maples 6-0. Dylan Treloar beat Jeremy Gonzalez by pin (would like to know the score before the pin), he has lost to Jeremy Gonzalez 7-3, Jacob Maples by pin (would like to know the score before the pin), Donovan Roberts 13-5. If I missed something please let me know.
  7. Ok... here are my predictions... of course this is just My Opinion and they mean nothing!!!! And I am sure I left someone off so if I did please let me know and I will look into revising the ranking. 103 1- Jeremy Gonzalez (Ross) 2- Jacob Maples (Mont Central) 3- Donovan Roberts (NW) 4- Dylan Treloar (H'ville) 112 1- Spencere Collazos (Ross) 2- Daniel Smith (Springfield) 3- Richard Burris (H'ville) 4- Austin Orman (Harpeth) 119 1- DeAndre Morrison (NW) 2- Nick Cantrell (Harpeth) 3- Anthony Patnode (White House) 4- Brain Conn (CA) Dark Horse- Cary Miller (Ross) 125 1- Greg Shepherd (Dickson Co) 2- Chancey Wilson (NE) 3- Dyllon Bass (Harpeth) 4- Chad Isbell (C'ville) Dark Horse- Martin Leamon (NW) 130 1- Adrain Thomas (NE) 2- Damean Sawyer (Harpeth) 3- Patrick DeMilia (Ross) 4- Zach Pickney (Beech) Dark Horse- Grant Hill (Mont Central) 135 1- Hayden Jordan (C'ville) 2- Matt Price (Mont Central) 3- Mitch Scarbrough (Dickson Co) 4- OPEN 140 1- Ronald Perry (Mont Central) 2- Nick Newton (H'ville) 3- Ben Knox (Dickson Co) 4- Zach Spain (Cheatham Co) 145 1- Brandon Isbell (C'ville) 2- David Bosanko (NW) 3- Kevin Kucinski (Mont Central) 4- Luke Humphrey (Dickson Co) 152 1- Ren Baggett (C'ville) 2- Jonathan Roberts (Beech) 3- Maurice Moore (Kenwood) 4- Thaxton Mead (H'ville) 160 1- Will Bradshaw (Harpeth) 2- Nick Baker (NE) 3- Jarrett McGaha (C'ville) 4- Jacob Tyer (Dickson Co) Dark Horse- Justin Conners (H'ville) 171 1- Rakim Talley (Dickson Co) 2- Miguel Robles (Kenwood) 3- Greg Cross (H'ville) 4- Zach North (Ross) 189 1- Tyler Todd (Ross) 2- Joey Leach (Fairview) 3- Deyandre West (NW) 4- OPEN 215 1- Brett Jaeckel (H'ville) 2- Yusuf Yunis (Ross) 3- Michael Perry (C'ville) 4- Jamaal Shekeenab (NE) Dark Horse- Michael Gordy (Sycamore) 285 1- Wilford Morrison NW) 2- Brandon Chapman (H'ville) 3- Josh West (Springfield) 4- Tyler Bond (Ross) Ok please don't shoot the messenger this is just MO and I am sure I am very wrong in some spots.
  8. Rossview did not wrestle all there varsity due to sickness and suspension. But I don't think it would have made much difference in the outcome.

  10. Here is some news that has just been picked off the wire! Wilson from NE HAS moved down to 125 and Adrian HAS moved down to 130 and Jamaal HAS moved down to 215. How will that shake up those 3 weight classes? Other news may by pending very soon with other people jumping weight classes with the 2 pounds holiday gift! Who will they be!?
  11. Well, let me put my predictions out there and then maybe someone else will speak up because I missed someone or someone beat someone or someone is not in that weight class anymore or etc (you get the point, I will not be right) 103 1- Jacob Maples (Montgomery Central) 2- Jeremy Gonzalez (Rossview) 3- Donovan Roberts (NW) 4- Dylan Treloar (H'ville) 112 1- Daniel Smith (Springfield) 2- Richard Burris (H'ville) 3- Spencer Collazos (Rossview) 4- Austin Orman (Harpeth) 119 1- DeAndre Morrison (NW) 2- Nick Cantrell (Harpeth) 3- Cary Miller (Rossview) 4- Brain Conn (CA) or Chase Snow (C'ville) 125 1- Greg Shepherd (Dickson Co.) 2- Dyllon Bass (Harpeth) 3- Austin Large (H'ville) 4- Chad Isbell (C'ville) Dark Horse- Martin Leamon (NW) 130 1- Chancey Wilson (NE) 2- Grant Hill (Montgomery Central) 3- Damean Sawyer (Harpeth) 4- Jack Johnson (H'ville) Dark Horse- Zach Pickney (Beech) 135 1- Hayden Jordan (C'ville) 2- Matt Price (Montgomery Central) 3- Adrian Thomas (NE) 4- Mitch Scarbrough (Dickson Co.) 140 1- Ronald Perry (Montgomery Central) 2- Nick Newton (H'ville) 3- Darion Pittman (Kenwood) 4- Ben Knox (Dickson Co.) 145 1- Brandon Isbell (C'ville) 2- David Bosanko (NW) 3- Joseph Degon (Kenwood) 4- David McKeel (H'ville) 152 1- Jonathan Roberts (Beech) 2- Ren Baggett (C'ville) 3- Thaxton Mead (H'ville) 4- Kevin Kucinski (Montgomery Central) 160 1- Will Bradshaw (Harpeth) 2- Maurice Moore (Kenwood) 3- Nick Baker (NE) 4- Jarrett McGaha (C'ville) Dark Horse- Justin Conners (H'ville) 171 1- Miguel Robles (Kenwood) 2- Jacob Tyer (Dickson Co.) 3- Greg Cross (H'ville) 4- Zach North (Rossview) 189 1- Rakim Talley (Dickson Co.) 2- Tyler Todd (Rossview) 3- Joey Leach (Fairview) 4- Deyandre West (NW) 215 1- Brett Jaeckel (H'ville) 2- Yusuf Yunis (Rossview) 3- Michael Perry (C'ville) 4- Michael Gordy (Sycamore) 285 1- Wilford Morrison (NW) 2- Brandon Chapman (H'ville) 3- Jamaal Shekeenab (NE) 4- Dakota Slack (Dickson Co.) Dark Horse- Tyler Bond (Rossview)
  12. 103- 1st- Jacob Maples (Mont Central), 2nd- Jeremy Gonzalez (Rossview), 3rd- Donovan Roberts (NW), and 4th Dylan Treloar (H'ville). This weight class could have any of these taking first... but I just believe Maples (if he can stay healthy) is hands down the better wrestler out of the group.
  13. 1... I too was sitting on the edge of the mat and I personally saw with "my own eyes" Taylor (the Rossview wrestler) tapping out because he was unable to breath. As far as, Mitch (the Dickson wrestler) goes I think he is a very good wrestlers and if he believes he was bitten then I am inclined to believe him. IF you put the two stories together then there is no doubt a bite did occur but it was an unintentional bite. Yes this can happen... If Mitch crossed-faced Taylor while his mouth was open then that would place the arm unintentionally in the mouth... As strong as Mitch is then it is possible for him to exert enough pressure to cause the suffocation to make Taylor try and "tap out"... which in turn could cause an involuntary closing of the mouth to swallow and gasp for air. IF Taylor were going to bite Mitch then why would he "tap out" because I saw this with my own eyes? And it was not like Mitch was winning the match because he wasn't at that point it was tied 2-2 (if I remember correctly). 99% (and you know I am right on this) of all bites occur when a wrestler is frustrated and losing!! Taylor was neither frustrated or losing so it would have made absolutely no sense for him to bite Mitch in that situation... it is not like Taylor has not been in this situation before... he has been wrestling for 5+ years. So he knew he still had a chance in the match. 2... Now for the accusations that Coach Brown does NOT teach his kids good and proper behavior is absolutely absurd!! And for someone (godofwreslting) to insinuate or even suggest that he teaches or promotes bad behavior does NOT know him at all!! I personally know that teachers at his school will call him up to help them when a wrestler is acting up in their class. They do this because he does instill good behavior in his wrestlers. I have seen him line his kids up and run and run and run because they have done something wrong or even when they have not cleaned up their locker room. Also, Coach Brown has spent hours upon hours of his free time and thousands of thousands of his own money to help promote the progress of his team. Someone (godofwrestling) suggested that he should make his team become better wrestlers... he is!! What you seemed to have forgotten is 10 of Rossview's 14 wrestlers, at the tourney HAVE ONLY BEEN WRESTLING 2 complete years with 1 of them (Ryan Cavin) haven only wrestled 1 complete year. That is 11 wrestlers with 2 or less years of experience. These wrestlers did not come from his feeder program... like most of the Dickson Co. kids... in fact Jeremy Gonzalez the 103lber is his first feeder baby! So for these kids to even be competing... let alone hanging with a great team like Dickson Co. is a testimony to the hard work these kids have put in and to the level at which Coach Brown and his staff have trained them. Here is another fact only a few people know about Coach Brown... He has talked to Mr. Shepard (the father of Greg and Ryan Shepard) about allowing Ryan to travel with his team to all the national tournaments that they attend next season. Coach Brown has also extended the invitation to several of the Clarksville High School wrestlers, as well as, several other teams in the surrounding area. Coach Brown has done nothing but try and promote wrestling in the Clarksville and surrounding area!
  14. Anyone ready to make some mid-season predictions on who will win what weight class?
  15. Well if Clarksville is not coming, Kenwood is not coming, and FRA is mostly likely a scratch... will there be any teams to fill their spots? And if so, who?
