Haven't seen the Pioneers any this year, but Dekalb is supposed to be loaded. What's everyone' opinion?

I am not necessarily against Rackley and I do not know the Cotton man. I'm just saying if you fire a man and give a reason for it in the paper then replace him with someone with the same lack of qualifications then you've contradicted yourself. Rackley, when he had the talent there, did an admirable job at the middle school. I just hope these young kids that are being screwed around with by the administration will remember this when they are old enough to vote, since the voters now can't seem to get it. Good luck Pioneers there are some people in this county that care about you, the players and not about the good ole boy network.

Would someone please enlighten me. The principal fires the OC who has taken you to the playoffs 3 years straight because he "doesn't have the credibility" yet you allow a middle school coach who has no experience beyond playing high school ball to join the staff. Is it because you have to settle for what you can get. If money is the only issue, now you'll have to pay someone to mow the field this summer because Donnie did that to. Maybe I'm missing something but now what kind of "credibility" does the principal have?

I tink Bill would be a good choice, but isn't it a conflict of interest since he's on the county commission. Also heard that the current MS principal is interested in the superintendant post. That would not be good from a football standpoint. I think Bobby Cox would definitely be better. Also that Donnie Harris was at the middle school for a meeting of all 6th and 7th graders interested in playing football. After the way he was done, I'm surprised he would help out at all.

ok then tell me why she has "open gym" starting on the exact day ms football fall practice starts and tells kids that want to play both sports" if you don't show up you won't play or start for me"?i know this happened this pastg year to at least 2 kids one of them the same kid mentioned before and one that could possibly be one of the best tailbacks in wc history. then when the football coach goes to administration he is told "MM can do whatever she wants" a 13-14 year old doesn't understand that if they are the best sthletes she has she'll play because she wants the win.

The powers that be aren't going to say anything about basketball. The girl's head coach is ths AD's sister and Ryan is trying to a good job at the high school but he has a system and the middle school coach let's her boys basically play civic center ball, so they have a hard time playing as a team. Also warren county is not big enough for kids to be told to concentrate on one sport. When you talk a 14 year old kid into quitting the ms baseball team so he can play on your AAU bb team it just ain't right. But again nothing will be done because of who the bb coach is.

i haven't heard that but in WC you never know. Seems the school board will place anyone on staff as long as they will work for cheap. i don't think it's a good idea simply because last year at the middle school @@@@ was not there at all the practices because of his job. when you coach high school you need to be there every day. how can a 15-17 year old kid put confidence in someone who is telling them to work hard but is not out there everyday with them. our school board and administrators need to quit playing politics and hire (pay) quality coaches in all sports not just someone because of who they are friends with or who they are related to.
