ill be honest with you. i cried. i cried alot lol but it was a good season for the cougars. we had some hard fought games. just plain out got played last night. Good luck to Tenn High the rest of the way, they will need it.

You don't have to stand up to cheer for your team. I personally saw a dad from the girls team come to the rail at TN High near the end of the game to get you guys to cheer for the girls. You guys just made fun of him instead of cheering fo YOUR team. By the way The General is most likely the reason that there are less students at the game. She won't let you guys yell hardly at all but she'll throw you out for no apparent reason. Agreed. Also not to mention, at the jv game me and some other varsity basketball players were watching the JV game and cheering and yelling and during halftime the officials went to Coach Krantz and told him to tell us to be quite because we were distracting..? That is part of having home court advantage. Anyway, yes i know about the man tellin us to cheer. There are just some fans who will absolutley not cheer for girls games. Dont ask me why, ill tell them to say something and they just laugh, and i say some cougar spirit and they say they dont care. Centrals student section has just gone down hill, mostly because of " the general"

uh hem. As a student in the student section, standing for 3 1/2 hours as stated earlier is a hard thing to do . and i do recall, we have stood up for at least 2 games,when the game is close at the end. As for me, I yell and scream during the girls games, (and the guys jv games because i love central basketball and every home game i am there from 430- on), but i will not yell as much as i do for the boys game. For me, girls games are just a little harder to get into then the guys game. PLus out student sections has been horrible the last couple of games and i cant figure out why less and less students are showing up. On another note. Central did beat boone but Central def did not play its best basketball. Last night we looked horrible against Greenville and tonight we played a litttle better but not like we should. We better start getting our act together before TH. Bring on the Vikings!

what will the standings look like at the start of the season? Who starts near the top, who starts near the bottom

If any refs dont need to be reffing anymore its the ones at Tenn High tonight. They just would not let the Cougars win. The cougars were up at half even though they had 10 fouls compared to TH's 2. Third quarter they still had the lead but then here come the refs... again... at the end of the game TH wins with central having 20 fouls and TH only having 8. and no it not because we were tryin to foul at the end to get the ball back it was just a horrible i mean horrible called game. Its not even the refs at the game tonight, its every big 9 ref out there. They are just a joke

i agree that Volunteer will do pretty good this year even though they will be young. Isnt almost every starter this year a junior?

Central wins 57-55 in what might be one of the best games of the year so far. Patrick Albright drove the lane and shot the ball and made it to come within 1 but also got fouled. He made the clutch free throw to tie the game with 11 seconds left. South then had the ball but Carl Roberts steals the ball from Wes Carr with 2 (+ or -) seconds left and runs down the court and throws up the game winning layup at the buzzer. Central played very poorly but still came up with the W. It was a GREAT game.

yea the central east game was a pretty good game. it looked like east had it early with a big lead in the first but central fought back in the second to tie it up 36-36 at half. Central then rolled and got up a few points but they just could not finish it. The forth quarter was totally dominated by East, central had to many turnovers and things just didnt go centrals way. East was the better team tonight. As far as their student section goes...Yea they looked like they had a few scouts that came to our games because every cheer they had was a central cheer. Heck, even the camo was ours. But i do remeber the one cheer that absolutly noone has chanted against us.... Something about out football team being bad?! who would have EVER come up with that one. SO ORIGINAL! wish other school were that creative

I also agree Central East game will be a close one.... closer than 15 and 20 as some people think. I aslo agree it will come down to free throws. Central has to come out swingin to win this one, but i think they can do it.

You obviously were not in the parking lot after the science hill game so you shouldn't post on something you know NOTHING about. After the SH game a White SUV full of SH student drove around the parking lot yelling at our students calling us every word in the dictionary. They then singled our girls and got out of the car and physically pushed a central girl. If you call that as Central starting the fight then your ridiculous

I think the first 5 minutes of the game will be a big part of the outcome of the game. Central will have to come out firing from all angles if they want to keep up with DB. If central jumps up to a great start right off the bat they will have a chance at the end if the keep their momentum goin like they did with SH. They got off to a great start and never looked back

Oh since you sit in out student section you would know right? But i will admit this years student section has alot better sportmanship the thepast couple of years. Also, enough with goin back and forth about student sections, lets talk basketball

#1. what does that have to do with anything, i never said SH did or didnt have a good chance to beat DB. And im not saying there bad teams, they are great teams and DB is the best in our conference. Im just sayin dont count this game as a easy win for DB, its goin to be a shoot out. #2. Dont tell me our student sections whinned to our princibles. I speak for everyone in our student section, we definatley don't whine. We actually get mad at our administrators. We love haveing other student sections to chant against. Thats what makes it fun. We hate when otherteams dont show up with student sections. So why whould we go tell our administration to shut you guys up?

#1. Everyone said we had no chance against ScienceHill, and how did that turn out? Im not sayin Central is 100% goin to win im just sayin its goin to be a better game than people will expect. #2. ......How cute...treats for us? Getting ready for a student section for a game that is 5 days away? Must be a lil intimidated huh

In the mo west game, we just plain out lost. We still had 3 people that shot in double digits with Josh Kaiko leading central with scoring 20. Central shoots extremly well at home and watch out if they get on fire. But if we do win, dont worry, we wont get any credit for the win, DB will blame the refs or somethin else that totally takes away the fact that Central is a good team.

Friday night will be a totally different central team then the one in december. They have won 4 out of 5 and lookin for another upset in the cougar den.

also not to mention, the fight started with a bunch of toppers yelling at a central girl callin her many bad words and our guys were just protecting her and then they pushed the girl and that started the fight. but now on to basketball

HA i was there, saw it all, science hill started it central finished it with all the science hill students runing away and now there all in trouble, and 1 is in JCDC... man what a win for the toppers? ps. this is about basketball.....way to bring up the fight? thats all you have to say after a lost '

First of all the refs did not beat Science Hill, the cougars were the better team tonight. Their student section helped pump up the team and went crazy. It was a great game and the cougars outplayed them in the end. The refs were pretty much even there were some bad calls but overall it was even both ways. Congrats to those cougars who can pull an upset at anytime. If they played like they did tonight all the time, we would be the team to beat. Also the student section proved tonight they are the best in the big 9.... Noone else is even close, they were loud all night.
