Its amazing how you have stated that you and Hart are friends and its obvious you never took a second to talk with the old coach. Makes me think maybe your kid or nephew or whatever was on teh team and didnt get teh star billing you thought he shouldve?????? From earlier posts it should be obvioius me and him are friends and you really have NO IDEA the things he has tried to do and gotten no support for and all the BS the admin put him through. Yeah, he really let the kids go a little wild at times but like i said... a whole lot behind that scene you dont know about that just wore him down. I remember when he first came here... all the same things were said... how much better teh team looked, how much more organized and disciplined they were. How great of a job he was doing.... I'm sure Hart is doing great but you really need to quit critisizing someone when you dont know anything about em or what they dealt with. I came out wrong against Hart earlier on and realized my mistake and shut up about it... you have continually (along with HART and his comments) critisized Harshaw. Support YOUR friend but watch hwo you say things BC i predict in 3-4 years it will be the same with Hart. A fresh start with a new person goes a long way but wares out fast!!!! As for the girls, heard they will be one of the best teams in the state. Just hope they can grow up quick with all the freshman that are supossed to be playing and that they stay healthy. The two heaters are gonna be hard to stop.

hmmm... and they got beat by a team with as far as i know ONE kid playing in college, MAYBE two. oh, its LambUth by the way. congrats to the kids on their signing.

My bad GCPioneer. I either totally overlooked this message or just forgot to reply. Nah, I dont know who you are. I went to GC over 10 years ago. I know Coach Harshaw from playing ball with him on sundays at GC the past few years. Hate to see him go b/c i've listened to him, watched practices, etc and know he knows his stuff but like i also said... i went to GC over ten years ago and I know how much crap he (and others) have had to deal with! I have a feeling we'll be having this same convo about Hart in a few years when they get done "f"ing him around!

LOL... I wish him well too but how has "he already done more in the past week for the boys program compared to what has been done for the program in the past 10 years"???????????? They havent even had a practice from what i hear. Only met with the boys once about a week ago. Maybe the admin is giving him the $$$$$$ that was never given to other coaches in the past for him to do things with. That must be it huh? The community (AND ADMINISTRATION) needs to support the boys teams like the do the girls or it will just be the same thing as always, just with a different guy getting blamed.

not to be mean but thats the best they could do? the "assistant" was the daddy sisco. the hart guy was like a 9th grade coach or something. i know i've heard of bigger, better, more experienced guys wanting the spot! guess that just goes to show they dont really give a *!$# about the boys program! they get a great highly successful coacht in McMillan and then the next year get a young noname (no disrespect intended) for the boys! HAHAHAHAHAHA hope he doesnt think he will just do the same UC does with the sytle of play!!!!!!!!!!!!

bowling was from ar but coached in MO then came to GC. something about that AR/mo connection huh? hey, GC... i know coach harshaw was PISSSSSED about that music thing. we talked the day after and he was going off about it. he said he knew they were gonna say something about it (the music) b/f the game and sure enuff they did. the thing that really had him steamed was that the girls played the same type (RAP) and thiers actually had a few curse words in it and nothing was ever said about it and they played theirs all year long! hahah... just one example of the many i've heard first hand about the bs. oh well!!!

from what coach harshaw told me the name isnt correct. hes not sure who it is but there was some kinds mix up with the paulus name. he told me all he know is its a younger looking guy. Maybe it is Eddings. I know he's not young but he'd kinda younger looking?!?!?! LOL Harshaw said some other things that I wont get into about the situation. best of luck to him and whoever this strange mystery man is in his challenging role at GC. Maybe since they got this guy soooo quick he is one of "thier boys" and they will let him do whatever he wants w/o all the mess!

Ummm, last time i cheked BLAKE wasnt your only senior. You wont b/c of Kimble, parr, taylor and one or two other seniors you're losing. make sure you read the post exactly how it is worded. as for the comment about all players having thier ankles broken by yankee, i never said he didnt. i was making a comment about how quick MJ was b/c somebody on here said Blake was quicker! CJ is a great defender and very quick so for him to be shook tha way just shows you how quick MJ actually is. thats all i'm saying, not tring to dis CJ... actually gave a lot of credit to him

I never saw the part where someone said Blake was quiker than MJ Brown. THats funny. Ask CJ crittendon about how quick MJ is and see is he remembers getting up off the floor after a crossover put on him by MJ last year. I'm gonna go a step further and make a statement based on what i've seen and from talking with a few others that know the game (coaches and such). I think yalls (DYER Co.) best player is crittendon. Yall could have not had blake and made it to state... plenty of others that could fill his role good enough. You loose CJ then you dont make it period. CJ is/or at least was highly underrated up until the state tournament. Oh, if you didnt notice i'm giving a DC player credit incase you DC people think i'm just hating on blake cause i dont like DC or something. Just trying to be honest

You dont know what you're talking about. I"m not a UC fan or anything but MJ almost lost them several games by NOT taking over earlier in some games. He did what a star does, when his team needed the best player to take over he did. How do you win Mr Basketball twice and still not get the credit? As for BLake, from what i understand he is a great young man and my congrats on his career but I honestly and objectively think he is overrated. How much of that driving the lane did he do at state against the best comp???? NONE. Blake had a high scoring avg but they were a lot of coushioned points during blow outs... hitting open threes off breaks and steals by teammates... playing late in games against other teams 2nd/3rd strings. Any good shooter with DECENT all around ball skills could have done what he did. I'm not saying he cant play, just think he's quite a bit overrated. I think he would make a good D2 or small mid-major at best player... I'm sure he has a huge amount of potential but SEC/ Major D1 calibur... ahhh NO FRIGGIN WAY!

I dont know anymore if hudson has the heart to be D1. not downing the kid but unless you have unbelievable athletic gifts you need that internal "something" that drives you to be better, the desire to BEAT the best not just join em. Make sense? the fact that he, like a lot of kids are just running the the already good/great program shows he wants an easier ride. cant make the arguement like all the DC people have with the Dyersburg kids that he is doing it for a chance to play b/c he would play more from teh jump at GC than at DC. I dont know if he would be able to play the type of defense they do. but then again it may be best for him. how many players in any male sport have gotten a scholarship at GC in the past 10 years? i cant think of one. just my opinion. I dont think his parents like how the older brothers "career" went at GC but who can you blame. He started every game for two years and played quite a bit as a sophmore so...

soccer? hahah. who cares about soccer? As for coach harshaw, best of luck to him. He has done some good things but just never was able to turn a corner here. Hope we can get a half decent replacement here that they will let do his thing his way. As for Rodgers I doubt he is going anywhere but he and mesanya (???) will probably be the best two players next year. The real question is will Reaves be allowed to play next year? Will he even be at GC? A shame that the hudson kid is running to another school instead of trying to be the reason GC turns it around (they havent had a real future D1 caliber player in quite a while and he couldve be it), but hey, go ahead a be a follower instead of a leader, seems to be a lot of that going around! The simpson kid can be really good but from what i hear/know myself he will be a lot lot reaves and mays which is always in trouble so he probably wont get to ever play. hope he can keep clean but his track record aint good. main point... lot of questions and doubt about the future of boys basketball here at GC

you heard wrong. dont know about the school but they will have no talent at all. only good news is neither will anybody else in their district outside the big three so they may be able to compete.

for GC Mays is a senior this year so they will struggle to find a guard. rodgers will have to step up do a lot of scoring. reaves may or may not be able to play... i think he got in some serious trouble. dont know if he is in school right now or not. he could really be a good player if he'd keep his head striaght
