  1. What would be the issue at West Creek? If there is an issue there is it the same at other Clarksville area high schools? Does anyone know for sure if Offutt is out or close to being out or is that just a rumor? I can't imagine that 0-10 does a lot for confidence...but is that something that is out of the coach's hands?
  2. I am intrigued by this area and was curious as to what the concensus was about the football, and the coaching in the Clarksville area. I know that Kenwood will have a new coach on the sidelines this upcoming Fall. Is there anyone else? I am not one to start rumors but on another thread West Creek was mentioned as another school that will have a new coach...Does anyone know much about that or any other news coming out of Clarksville?
  3. West Creek? I knew Kenwood had a coaching change but didn't know about West Creek. That would be the 3rd straight year wouldn't it? Is Offutt out?
  4. As far as Temple is concerned, the lack of playoffs situation will be a dead point. I believe any and every coach and/or player involved with the program wil approach this next season with a chip on their shoulder. There is so much to play for, whether or not the playoffs are a possibility or not. Auburn in 1993 showed us what having "nothing" to play for can do. Auburn in 2004 for that matter showed us what playing with a chip on your shoulder can do. I'm not an Auburn fan by any means, but there are plenty of examples that show that there is still much to play for especially when you feel like you have something to prove. (Florida '06, Ohio State '03, Alabama '92, Tennessee '98)This region is a tough one to compete in but don't be surprised if Temple can make a bit of noise. South Pitt is still the team to beat and Lookout Valley is on their heels in my opinion. The road to the region championship will roll through both of those teams.
  5. In my honest opinion having been around college athletes at the Division 1 level, dedicating themselves to football over the summer and fall will only increase their athletic ability and make them better basketball players. They will only get much stronger and tougher which will then make them better on the hardwood. Look at guys like Lebron James, Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, even Greg Paulus at Duke. These were all guys that excelled at high school football AND basketball and they have been open to admitting that it in many ways help shape the type of basketball players that they are today. If guys like this were smart enough to dedicate themselves to it then I think our guys should do the same for the sake of both programs.
  6. This region looks competitive once you look past South Pitt. Who gets the other 3 playoff spots from that region this year?

    Temple Job?

Does anyone have any info on the Temple job? (Chattanooga) Does anyone have any leads on candidates? I'm looking to send my sons there next year and wanted to know if they were close to having a head coach.
