Another loss for them tonight..Sorry to hear that for the players sake.

Just wanted to enlighten you with some information I know.. Things had been and are still being addressed by players and parents in a responsible manner with coaching staff and administration. The players that quit did so because of various reasons, that obvioulsy weren't resolved EVEN THOUGH there were PLENTY of meetings with administration. You all should also know that this whole thing isn't just hard on the ones who are still left on the team, but also the ones who were forced to give up something that had been a huge part of their lives for a very long time.. altogether, its just a really sad situation!

Its not like the Claiborne bench doesn't hear worse IN THEIR OWN LOCKER ROOM! I know...

I will agree with you totally here. I mean seriously there have been TONS of times that coaches or assistants have said worse than that and nothing was ever said. If these guys want to ref, they should learn to take a little bit of criticism from both coaches and also fans that just simply comes along with it. I dont know why anyone would say that an assistant coach should never get a technical, if thats the case then your basically saying that they should keep their mouths shut, and if thats so..then why even have an assistant? I was on Claibornes side of the gym and saw absolutely no reason for the first or the second technical. I was glad to see the Claiborne girls win for the sakes of them but not for "coach" Cook(and I use the term coach very loosely). They were out coached but played hard anyway. It was atleast good for their confidence level. Good luck the rest of the season, your girls played very well!

Yea... It will be interesting to watch to teams she destroyed play eachother to see which one she done worse damage to.

There is no negativity towards the girls who are playing now at all. They are all great girls. they just haven't had their fill of this "wonderful" coach you speak of. Its really easy to sit back and say positive things when you have not been affected by the situation. and once AGAIN I say that the reasons these EIGHT girls quit, (and yes I say eight) has absolutely nothing to do with them being yelled at. If Cook were such a great person, looks to me like the girls would still be playing for her. You honestly want to say that these girls quit over knee pads? thats funny. Maybe people would be positive if there was any reason to be. There is none, so you might as well sit back and listen to all the complaints. A huge thank you to the administration for putting a coach in who ruins our season and runs good players off the team!

Yes, I agree. This is well said. Its not the players who are playing now fault. Its actually very unfair to them to have to be placed in the situation. Cook has to be starting to realize that everywhere she goes, she ruins a program. One would think that she would save herself, and just step down.

She coached at Union Co. She had the same situation there. Alot of the girls also quit there, I don't know the situation as to why there, all I know is that the people I have talked to were extremely glad to get rid of her. As for why she was hired here when she left Union Co. in the mess it was in, I have no idea. Thats a question we find ourselves asking the administration. She was coach at Union for two years(I think) and only won like 2 district games. Seven girls have quit the Claiborne Varsity team since she has been hired. Four of them would start. Im not getting into all the details about what she did to these girls, but just know that your right, and no veteran player would quit after getting yelled at. These girls have definately been hurt! I don't know about the administration supporting her, I do know that if she had anything about her, she would step aside. If she wouldn't do it for the sake of embarassment, you would think she would for these kids. I hope I have helped answer some of your questions.

Lets clear something up "chill" I suggest that you figure out reasons that these girls quit before going and blaming it on other things. I particularly know ALOT about the situation. Its pretty easy to point fingers and blame in on the coach when it is COMPLETELY her fault..And as for Parkey, if he were still coach everyone who has quit would be playing and our record would be looking alot better. Disgruntled parents? hmm.. Id say so if their kids are pointed out disgruntled isn't even the word for it. I would say the other parents aren't too disgruntled because all the players quit so their third string children are getting to play! There would also be alot of other players quit, and Im only giving it time before they do.. a person can only take so much. And before you go defending someone, you need to know the whole story!
