  1. i figured.. thats pretty sad... but i guess its an easy road to state
  2. hmm. it just depends.. if soboun from antioch drops than he will prolly get 2nd 3rd or 4th.. but, considering he beat antioch 103 as of now, and i think he can handle east lit.. but, idk.. im not to sure about the 103's right now.. because they are either in the process of dropping or havent came out yet.. i think there was only like 3 wrestlers in 103 last year in region
  3. well, id say a freshman would be inexperinced
  4. well, i was just wondering.. i hope he does.. i saw him wrestle against antioch and he looked pretty decent.. i guess now is a good time for him to come back.. considering the region duals coming up and all.. lets just hope he can get some mat time and get re-conditioned
  5. this wouldnt happen to be the 103 from ghs would it? lol.. just wondering soo, how for sure are you? why did he stop wrestling their for that little bit of time?
  6. which part is correct?
  7. yeah.. that ACT is no joke.. idk how these kids do it.. ive looked at the practice tests.. very hard.. and yeah, id say Pegram would win it at either 1 as well.. he beat Antioch's 189 in the beech duals.. and i think Antioch is the top 189 in the region as of right now.. but, i could see why they would do that.. ive heard alot about reams coming back.. but, if he doesnt.. i could see Pegram staying even if reams doesnt come back.. i think if im not mistaken the guy that Pegram wrestled in state from collierville is ranked in state either 3rd or 4th.. and he only lost to him by 1 point in overtime last year.. And cody quick as well.. GLN and Tullahoma wrestled in the state duals and Pegram put him on his back.. but, quick ended up pinning him.. it just depends.. what do you think Pegram's chances are at placing at the father ryan and furthermore STATE? and ohh wow.. never really thought about that 1.. that would be a heck of a weight class to watch.. Lett and steiner used to wrestle together for glencliff.. that would be interesting.. and Lett would prolly want his rematch from region's last year.. i think steiner will drop tho.. steiner has technique.. but, the strength could be lacking compared to osatile and Lett.. but, ya never know..
  8. yes.. 215 is stacked.. all of those wrestlers you've named are good wrestlers.. but, about the GLN and HL match in the mcgavock.. i have no idea what pegram was doing in that match.. he had ACT that day.. soo, maybe that plaed something into his match.. i think pegram went in alil to confident considering he beat HL everytime last year.. but, i do beleive pegram beat Smith twice.. as beastin stated.. in the 1st period if my sources are correct. another interesting match will be with NIck garret and pegram.. they've had pretty close matches this year.. if pegram puts some weight on, he shoould do just fine.. he's giving up around 20 pds a match. it will be intersting how that plays a toll on him around region and state time. but, my question is.. do you think Pegram is honestly the best in the region in 215.. or should he drop down to 189?
  9. yes!! very right!! steiner will go 30 this year.. and im guessing tsegaye from GL will go 125 and they already have a good 119 and 112.. now.. can somebody help me with the upper wieght classes..? im curious to see everyone elses thoughts
  10. its way too early to be asking that.. it just all depends on how they wrestle in the tournament.. you could have the best wrestler in the tournamnet get stalled out and get caught up in a close match.. best wrestler usually either pins everybody or just completely domininates everybody in the tournament.. i could name a few who could make a run for it.. the winner of chandler and mintlow i could see one of antioch's lower weights winning it EL has a couple of wrestlers that could do it how about tsb's gentuso HL has possibly 1 or 2 Glencliff also has steiner, and the 215 it just all depends on how they do leading up to the region and how they do at it as well correct me if you have any suggestions.. and even state my thoughts with decriptions
  11. haha.. well, that kinda just proved a point.. i guess beastin's facts are alil mixed up
  12. that sounds about right if ya ask me.. yahya from Mcgavock cant wrestle.. doctors orders.. steiner will go 130.. tsegaye from glencliff can be decieving.. he has good technique, but strength is something he is seriously lacking.. i believe if he hits the weights and gets his technique to a science he shoould do fine. Chandler looked really good last tourney.. but, is his shoulder a problem? mintlow has been close to weight everytime he's weighed in.. lest hope he can make it around region. now, Holman should be ok if he gets some mat time in.. has he even wrestled this year? heavy boys are as ive said before.. 189 East lit or even antioch 215 another close one.. its gonna be a good battle between East lit, antioch, Glencliff, and hunters lane heavy hmm, hunters lane looks pretty good, and Glencliff should do good as well as hume fogg and antioch
  13. yeah.. well, this is true. i think they would both be decent at 130.. steiner will do good in state as well as kleinert.. it seems that steiner seems to turn it up a notch close to region and state time.
  14. well, ok.. maybe not domination.. but, your telling me Kleinert would win 9 out of 10.. hmm. last year steiner beat him i do believe something like 4 out of 5... anywho.. are either one of them moving down a weight class? i think steiner would do good as well as kleinert at 130... Steiner beat mcgavocks 140 not to long ago.. and i think he won the mcgavock.. but, ohh well.. it just all depends.. who all knows what metro teams are gonna be at the father ryan?
  15. go ahead and finish them beastin. that Glencliff/ MLK match at 145 should be interesting. can anybody finish the rest of the weight classes out? ill try my best.. 171 ? 189 E.Lit but, if reams comes back than he's got my vote 215 tough to say. i think Glencliff has beat everybody in the region.. but not sure.. ?? shawn rhodes was supposed to be good this year. does anybody know if he going to wrestle heavy? or stay at 215? 275 Clemons from Glencliff.. he's had some pretty good mathes that ive gotten to see. but, i think HL beat him.. ? antiochs heavy looks pretty good as well as hume foggs.. should be a battle for first
  16. hmm. i think Glencliff could beat overton as a team and antioch.. i can think back last year when independence didnt even want to wrestle glencliff at a dual match up at harpeth. Im just saying region 7 isnt as weak as everyone thinks.. i think antioch could hang with those teams, and when glencliff gets back everyone from injuries they will be able to hang with every single one of them
  17. ok.. ill give you that one.. some kids do get better.. but in that case steiner was beating kleinert in the harpeth.. actually dominating him. and kleinert got pinned right? i do believe steiner didnt. ill give him that though.. the guy from oxford was pretty tough... also different wrestlers have trouble with certain types styles.. i guess all there is to do is wait.
  18. well, actually.. im not.. i guess you can call me a bandwagon fan.. ever since Glencliff pulled off the region 7 win last year.. ive kinda been on their side. but, im honestly for everyone. ive been around some other topics.. but, this one seems intriguing. and yes.. thats the one im referring to. nick was up. but then started watching the clock. i went to the harpeth but, got there late. just in time for the finals. And, i will agree with you on that one as well.. mintlow is only a sophmore if im not mistaken. he has been showing some real potential. but, i dont see these teams meeting again.. unless antioch or beech will be at the father ryan. well, i correct myself. i do believe they will all 3 be at the hendersonville.. im not exactly sure.
  19. haha.. just alittle.. but thats what having a slow computer gets you... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />.. but, you do have a point morgan kinda snuck up on everybody.. idk if that was because of the school or what.. i think the father ryan tournament will be a perfect test for alot of wrestlers. i wouldnt be surprised if there were atleast 2 wrestlers in each weight class sneak up on everyone.
  20. To me being underrated is an awesome advantage for wrestlers.. it gives them a chance to sneak up and win clutch matches agianst opponents.. and i was just wondering who are the most underrated wrestlers in TN?
  21. simple.. the way the tournament was set up it was supposed to be BEECH in the finals with antioch. but, beech got beat by WC.. now, i was wondering why you would put the 2 best teams in the same bracket.. wouldnt you think it should have been WC in a different bracket than beech.. Beech thought they had a better chance against WC than Glencliff or Antioch. thats just my opinion... Glencliff has beat almost everybody on beech's team.. and im pretty sure NIck Steiner wanted his revenge agianst Kleinert. i just think the brackets were kinda messed up if you ask me.. but, that was in the past.. theres nothing to do about them now... im just stating my opinion once again
  22. wow.. i honestly cant believe you just said that. you just said reams isnt the old reams? if anything he is stronger and faster. yeah, he may have hurt his knee.. but, i would be willing to guarantee you he would pin antiochs 189.. he may be strong but, not stronger than reams. did you see how tired he was after that match with Glencliff? but, anyways. Glencliff's 152 seams to be on a roll.. ever since the mcgavock tourney when he lost to oxford for disqualification.. (which wasnt an illegal headlock). but, i guess that just something else for him to prove. the beech duals was a great statement. for all metro teams.. proving once again that region 7 is just as tough if not tougher than most.
  23. well.. anyways.. it seemed to work.. but, we'll just have to see at the region duals.. it looks as though its going to be between GLencliff and antioch in the finals.. because i dont see HL or mcgavock making a run for it.. but ya never know... HL is pretty close to making a full team. but, Glencliff put it to them in the 3rd and 4th place match. i personally think it should have been between antioch and glencliff in the finals. Wilson central didnt look too good.. i think wilson central would have lost to Glencliff. I think beech had high hopes.. but, i guess there plan back fired when WC beat them.
  24. hume fogg and smyrna? hmm.. i dont know about that. if you say so.. glencliff wrestles hume fogg later in the year. and whats soo tough about deciding where dosha and mitchell go? dosha is going lower mor than likely.. im guessing 145.. even if he doesnt.. he can beat any 160 in the region.. and mitchell should have beat antiochs 152 anyway. and im not a glencliff poster.. im just stating my thoughts of what i think..
  25. haha.. you must be kidding.. antioch does have a stronger lower weight class.. but, Glencliff clearly will have the better upper wieght classes.. if you ask me glencliff's heavy weight was caught off guard.. i guarentee you that he wont try and throw the 215 again.. they just have better balance than the big boys he wrestled before. glencliff started the match 24 points down. thats enough to put pressure on anybody.. im sure they were told they needed all pins.. and the antioch wrestlers we probably told not to get pinned.. (stall out). thats pretty much what the 189 did form antioch.. well, atleast it seemed like it.. the cold hard facts as of now is antioch is better.. but, believe me.. glencliff wants that repeat.. and i wouldnt count reams out for the season.. i think he still has some left in him to atleast come out to keep the repeat alive.. it obvious that he could pin anybody in the region..
