what is sweetwater's record?

No one is leaving to my knowledge! We did not have an offensive coordinator last year. Satterfield called the plays. He was looking last year but could not fill the position. Hopefully, we can get a good one! Go chiefs!

Did all the games get washed out today? Sequoyah vs Sweetwater cancelled (Will play @ 3:00pm on Wed)

It is my understanding the game that was rescheduled for Wed @ Sequoyah has been changed to 3:00pm. I also heard that Friday's game against Tellico was moved to 1:00pm. Are these times correct? If so, why are they moving games so early in the day. I know the kids are on spring break but it makes it almost impossible for working parents to attend. This seems like it would hurt the gate?

So we play @ sequoyah tomorrow @ 7:00?

The word I got is that Monday's game would be made up Wednesday. What time? Where?

I think this is going to be a great year for this district. I think Polk will be very tough but I think all 5 teams will have a chance to win the district. I have never seen it this balanced! Go Chiefs!

Congratulations! He will do GREAT! This is an example of a Great young Man that has worked in the weight room for many years and developed into a nice football player. With his determination and hard work he will be successful!

does anyone have a schedule of the rest of the tourney that is being held at Cleveland state?

It is a ashame because that young man could have went somewhere if he had applied himself. I think this season will be like the basketball season. No one will run away with the district title this year. I think whoever wins it will have 2 or 3 losses. The district tournament will be exciting this year. Good luck Chiefs!!!

It is great to hear that Big Bell is playing at Tusculum. He will be a contributor before his 4 years are up. That is a result of his determination and hard work in the weight room. If we could just get these young guys to understand that we would be so much better. One of the freshmen partents said they could begin working out after the first of the year but I am not sure if that has happened yet. Helms, Dyer, Arp, Bowers, and maybe a few more are in baseball and will join the team after baseball is complete. i can promise you that they will be very very far behind because coming from past experiences the baseball coach doesnt exactly push the lifting very heavy in baseball except maybe for the first week or so then they just stop lifting all together .hmmm not good. the football team however is actually working very hard we have about 26-30 everyday and the upcoming freshman start tomorrow. That is great to hear that we have that many in the weight room. I know Coach Black and Coach Conner is working them hard. I hope we can become stronger, it will show up on Friday night. However, I don't think you should worry about those kids that are playing other sports. They may not be getting stronger every day but I promise you that are well conditioned and will be ready to step back in as soon as they can. The ones we need to be concerned about are the ones still walking the hallways that are not playing. They are the ones we need to encourage to get with the program and make a difference. Go Chiefs, Keep working hard!!

Great Post! I could not agree more. Until Monroe County board of Education takes athletics seriously we will all continue to fall behind (Tellico, Sequoyah, and Sweetwater). There is no way we are going to be able to attract good Head Coaches and Assistants to our schools with the terrible coaching supplements we have to offer. In their eyes athletics is not important, they do not understand that athletics is a huge part of academics. Look at all these schools that have successful athletic programs, you do not see them struggling financially. Maybe this upcoming school board election we can start changing the thought process by electing new board members with fresh ideas. Go Bears, Chiefs, Wildcats!!!!
