Would also like to congrate Jerome Felton for making it to the pro bowl this year.He plays for the Vikings.He played at Sequoyah.It just goes to show you can make it.Proud of ya man.I think the feild needs to be named after him.

I used to do the weight room.I would start it in Dec. until football started in late JULY.I would open it up 3 days a week a 6"30 am,I did this for 3 years and never took a dime.And the kids did get stronger and did show up.I did it because i cared and wanted to give them the best chance at winning.Then some complaining from a few parents tore it all down 'because of playing time'.I'm not asking the coach to leave,but just do his job.I dare to say that i bet most teams are in the weight room,and have been for a bit.To be successful in football now is a year around job.It just don't start in the summer.If your going to coach,then do it whole heartly,if not step down.

Welli heard the guy that was doing the work outs.who is not a coach,quit because no one was paying and most wasn't showing up.As i said last year about this team the head coach is coaching jv basketball.Its a shame for the kids.Alot ask me whats it going to take to get over the hump.Well a coach who does his job is a great start.But if the parents are happy i guess its fine.Just hope he retires before my youngest gets there.Just because you won a state championship in 1987 or somewhere around there,doesn't mean your the greatest coach in the world.I also heard ,don't know if its true or not,but the off, cord.is not returning either.

Thats why i say it starts with the head coach.He don't do much and the boys know it.Our coaches don't even meet on sunday to go over the friday night game or the game coming up'THATS WHAT I WAS TOLD'.The 2 coordinators do it at home and come tp practice on Monday with what they want to do.I give them creit,but that needs to be done as a unit.Our little league never sees him,i think he was at one game this year and no practices that i know of.Like i said i'm not saying go after his job,i think he would be fine if he put his heart into it.If hes not willing to do so then move on and give it to someone who will.Our school has 1000 students in it and were letting schools with 500 students beat us.Theres a reason why.And like i said give the jv basketball up and be with the football team.If you want the boys to do what it takes to win ,then the coach has to do it to.

Well i didn't miss it by much.SEQ.went 6 and 4 instead of 7 and 3.I posted this at the start of this thread.O and Slobber they do have a parent coaching so get your stuff straight.But hes a great person and he will do his best.I have no issue with it.The issue i have is the coach.He had more tallent this year then has been there in a while.Now i'm not sayin get rid of him but make him step up to the plate.If hes not willing to do so then ask him to leave.Give up the jv basketball coaching and be with the boys starting in JAN.in the weight room.Don't start the weight room in APRIL or MAY.If the coach is dedeicated then so will be the boys.If hes not neither will they.I don't blame the kids,because it all starts with him.Its his job to make sure the juniors and seniors show up.You may say 6 and 4 is not bad,but they only had 1 win with team that a winning record,which was Rockwood who was 6 and 4.The other 5 teams had a combine record of 10 and 40.So if you have kids coming back next year,make him commit to what hes getting paid for.Like i said theres a lot of tallent there and will be next year to.I love SEQ.football but its hard for me to watch.Look at your good programs and ask people there how there ran,i bet its alot different.People here know what i;m sayin is true.These are our kids and we should demand whats best for them and give them the best we can.

Congrats to the CHIEFS last night.I didn't get to go but listion to it on the radio.Chiefs sounded like they played a great game.Rockwood with what i could tell didn't do well.I think in the 1st half they had a fumble and threw at least two interceptions.I think the Chiefs will go at least 7 and 3.And if the coach has them where they need to be,they could go 10-0.Not sure on L.C. yet .We will find that out this Thursday against Loudoun.Like i said their 3 big games are L.C. LOUDON,AND POLK.They have the tallent,but it will be up to the coach to get them over those hurdles.They have a great senior and junior class.Great job CHIEFS.I think SEQ.BEATS TELLICO BY AS MUCH AS THEY WANT.GO CHIEFS.

I love Sequoyah football,but i'm worried.They have a chance to be a good football team this year but to my knowledge they have not even stepped into the weight room yet.The head coach is doing freshman basketball.Is this normal or is other teams not in there yet either.Like to know where other teams are at this point.I mean spring practice is less then 4 months.JUST CURIOUS AND CONCEREND.

This is a game i thought Sequoyah should win,but now i'm not sure.I hope the coach has them ready.Its a long ride but will be even longer on the way back if they lose.

Well if you go and look at my post its says they should go 7 and 3.It didn't say they would and there was a little sarcism in the post.I did'nt go to the game but everyone i talked to said sequoyah had a lot more tallent on the feild.So how do you get beat that bad.I WONDER.It not hard to figure out what there doing.Its 1980 football.

If they are young like you said, i would say give him another year and if its the same next year then he may need to go,but its hard for me to think theres that much cussing going on.I know words slip out sometimes we've all done it but this seems more then that,but i'm going on what you guys are saying.Got to remember this isn't college, this is high school.Rome wasn't built in a day.

Tough game for the cheifs this week.I thought the cheifs had a chance to go 7 and 3 now i'm afraid 5 and 5 might be where their headed.I hope they can get it together for this game.I recommed going back to duece set some and mix it up.The tallent is there to run it,but may be a little late to try it.I just hope we play a good game and its close,what does everyone else think.

Well Loudon may be better then you think beat L.C. last night.I think Seq.does win this one , but it may be a closer game then what i thought.I heard that Seq.may have a couple suspended for this game but i only heard it, not saying its true.What will help Meigs is that extra game under their belt against a descent team,and they kept it close.The more you play the better you get most of the time,if you can keep injurys down.Seq.seemed to have alot of bugs to work out and being off a week dont help.

Congrats to Sequoyah on the win against Rockwood.Next is Meigs how do you think this one wil go.Meigs must be a little better after beating Upperman or is Upperman that bad.But i give the cheifs the win in this one 24 to 7.I still say Sequoyah should go at least 7 and 3 and be in the other 3 games to say its a good year and maybe even sneak a win in against polk or loudoun or lenior city but should not get blowed out.Iwill hang up now and liston to the replies.
