Powell High School had 3 guys to hit over .350..........
Christian Conner, Sr. OF, and Hagen Owenby, So. C/RHP, both hit a little over .400, and
Colby Skeen, Sr. 3B and Walters State signee, hit a little over .500 with 7 HRs and 42 RBIs.
I should not have included you in my shaming....Sorry
Just got a little upset at the poster that called out the SS, the idiot saying they have all been like that since they were 11, and all the whining about a bunch of kids cheering on their team. That chanting is what they have always done.....it just gets on the opposing team's parents nerves.
Are you really that stupid? I was told they were on the field warming up to play and it started raining so hard they didn't have time to get the tarp on it. I know Doug Polston and he has been doing it the right way for a long time. To accuse him of cheating is moronic....but hey, you are one of the morons on here bashing all the Powell kids after they got put out of the tournament. Honestly, you should just do us all a favor and stop posting.
Shame on every one of you! Some of these kids just played the last baseball game of their lives and you all can't wait to get on here and kick them right in the teeth. Do you all not remember how that felt when you were growing up? Or did you never play at all? Nice timing! You all think kids don't read this garbage?
Oak Ridge 10 - Clinton 0.....Lane threw it great......No hitter through 4.....Not sure if Clinton ever got a hit or not.
Powell 11 - A.C. 0.....D. Owenby threw a 1-hitter.....H. Owenby homered twice....Skeen hit a bomb that cleared the baseball admission tent up on the hill.
Owenby's not a D1 prospect you stupid idiot....he's a D1 signee (Tennessee).
Read the newspaper moron!
I'm not even a huge Powell fan, but I hope they shove it up HVA's ####. Only because of the garbage I have been reading on here. HVA has one good year and they act like they are a dynasty. It wasn't long ago when they were the 3AAA doormat that everyone wiped the crap off their feet on. I personally know Kirk Renegar and I wish he would get wind of all this. He would not be happy.
Gotcha No problem at all.....In fact, just today I spoke with someone very close to the HV program that said they believe that Jake will still be at SS this season. Not to take anything from the Hunt kid, but Jake has been a strong SS for the last few years. I would have been very surprised if Coach Renegar had moved him to 2B for his senior season.
It definitely sounds like you guys will be tough again this year. Good luck!
You heard that the freshman is Hunt? But you're not sure?..........I think you heard it from yourself yesterday. We should probably get back on topic and talk about the teams in 3AAA and what everybody has coming back from last season.
Congrats to all the 3AAA college commits and signees....I will list the ones that I know of.
Everyone please feel free to add to it as new info comes in.
Powell - Drake Owenby......Tennessee
Powell - Colby Skeen.........Walters State
Halls - Austin Smith.........Cleveland State
A.C. - Brycen Roberts......Walters State
A.C. - TaylorDurand........Volunteer State
H.V. - Elliot Whitt............Tusculum
Well in case you didn't notice my little guy rolling around laughing, my "down south" comment was meant to be a joke, hinting around that Coach Renegar may have already had his team practicing down in Florida or somewhere, and has his starting lineup all figured out. But oh well....I'll try to be more serious in my future posts. All joking aside, OR looks to be real strong this year. I look for them to contend. Can't wait to get started!
Good luck to the Wildcats!
That's exactly what I was referring too when I said most h.s. coaches don't know who all their starters are right now, but they have a pretty good idea....I would say that the HV poster knows what he's talking about and those freshman are great players that will contribute right away, but nothing is set in stone.
I figured HV would have quite a few good players coming back......don't know much about the freshman you speak of, but unless you are Coach Renegar.....how could you know they are going to be starting? Has HV been practicing somewhere down south that we don't know about? I'd say that most h.s. coaches aren't sure at this time who all their starters will be...although they might have a good idea. I'm sure those freshman are very good, and I hope that they work very hard for their starting position. You guys are very lucky to have such a good coach in Kirk Renegar.
Good luck to HV.
