Has anyone heard about the new kid that came in yesterday? He said he was from Loudon and was moving to Sequoyah. GREAT looking kid! All the guys were amazed at his size. I did not ask his name or class. Any word on this?

I agree, I think Breeden, Black, Carson will be very effective if we can get them into space. Breeden is especially good in space! I have not seen Black since the Dead period. Does anyone know what his status is? I think he showed in the spring that he can help us on Defense and offense. I have not seen a lot of the I formation yet. Mostly the spread passing game. I will be curious to see what type of run package we implement. Offensive line is really good at run blocking and I am sure we need pass protection work since we did not do a lot of that in years past. Go chiefs!

That is correct. I thought they look pretty good considering the small amount of work they have had on defense. The wins were against Claiborne County, Loudon, Knox Central JV. The losses were to Sunbrite (3-2) and Greenback. I think were just ran out of gas on the fifth game of the day against Greenback. Go chiefs!! Keep working hard.

Let's talk about Defense. I think we all agree this is the area we need the most improvement in. Lets start with the Inside linemen. I think we have some tallent there. Bell, Roberts, Peels, Workman, Moore, Watson. I think we will have to rotate these guys a lot. Most will be playing both ways. Steinhart also can play inside but he is working at LB at this time.

I think Z. Helms has been working at Tight end. Good hands and good blocker but a little slow footed. I think C. Topa would be a good option at FB or TE, tough kid, good runner and blocker. JW is our best option at TB!! However dept at all positions is CRITICAL!!!!!!!! I have been watching workouts all week and have been impressed with our QB's and Receivers. ELI, Rogers and R. Coleman all have made improvements at QB and we are catching the ball much better. Coach S. told the receivers yesterday that they had been taught well on route running and fundamentals. Agree 100%!!!! I talked with a gentleman that has been around Greenback football for many years and I just asked him about Satterfield. His comment was he is a good coach but can not get a long with parents, teachers, players, or other adminstrators. He said his biggest problem was his son played baseball and football. Coach was very much against kids playing other sports besides football. Coach would tell the players when spring practice begins you will be at football if you are going to play for me!! Sounds like the guy we need heading up our program! Ya right!! thats a good one!!

Is it true we lost 3 linemen this week? It is my understanding they quit. 2 seniors and 1 Jr. This has got to hurt the depth and I think it will really show up in practice. It will make it harder to get a "good look" in practice. Don't get discouraged Chiefs keep working hard!!!!

Yes, It was good to see the guys back on the field. The practice was ran very effective. Good job coaches! There was no wasted time! A lot of fundimental work and teaching going on!!! I am looking forward to see them get into the more phyiscal part! Which will probably come later in the week. Good technique will make us a better team! I thought J. Thompson also had a good practice. J. Black will continue to get better. I think he will really help on the offensive side of the ball. We will get a chance to see that today! I was proud to see T. Helms back on the field after last seasons terrible injury. Keep up the hard work!!!! Go Chiefs!!

who will play in the championship game?

Do the final four teams play at Central or does it stay slpit at Polk and Central until the final game?
