I have worked with Peanut for almost 10 years now. As a fledgling basketball club mom, member of AAU, Coach's wife and and as their current web designer. My step daughter played AAU from age 9 until 17. Peanut made time for people when they needed help. He fought for the small clubs who could easily get overshadowed by the powerhouse teams. He gave his heart to an organization that should be thankful for his contributions. The commitment he and his wife have shown is unsurpassed and a rare thing in this day and time. He found joy in watching all of our Tennessee girls succeed. I have the utmost respect for Peanut. It is a shame that it has come to this. These will be very big shoes to fill.

I have two former players that will be eligible at the 16U level this year who are looking for a team. Both played up last year for the Tennessee Storm when they were 15. Both are perimeter players and would be great addition to any team. I can personally guarantee that their basketball skills and character are top notch. This will be the final notice for tryouts for the SCA Lady Dragons 13U AAU Team. The tryouts will be be held on February 14 and February 21 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at Franklin Road Academy's High School Gym. This team will be a top competitor this season and will be a strong candidate to advance to the AAU state and national championships. Your daughter is invited to attend the 13U Lady Dragons open gym on Saturday, November 22 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the FRA Lower School Gym. This is an opportunity to allow 13U girls interested in playing AAU basketball for the Lady Dragons this upcoming spring to demonstrate their skills and familiarize themselves with new 13U Lady Dragons Head Coach Jamie Bledsoe. Jamie is a terrific coach and is already developing a great rapport with the girls. We will also attempt to have an open gym in December and four more open gyms in January before the final roster is determined. (Note: Jamie is only coaching the 13U Lady Dragons team. Coach Ernesto Ramos will continue to coach the 10U, 11U and 12U teams.) Where: Franklin Road Academy Lower School Gym (This gym is on the north side of the FRA campus in the lower or elementary school.) When: Saturday, November 22nd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Who: Any 13U girl who plays basketball who may be interested in playing for the 13U Lady Dragons next Spring. Do I have to commit to anything? Absolutely not. Obviously, we are looking for dedicated basketball players who want to win. But we are not asking any player to commit to our team until next February. How much does the open gym cost? Nothing. This is a free 2-hour open gym. Can I bring a friend? Yes, if you know of other girls who may be interested, please feel free to bring them to the open gym.
