  1. With only a few teams left, who do you think will win?
  2. Props to Clarkrange yall. They took over and dominated the best of our district 5a here in Chattanooga. Congrats to all the players at CSAS, at least you guys put up a fight. May God bless you all
  3. I have seen them play, and look out Clarkrange. The game will be at CSAS as far as i know, and let me tell you from personal expierence, that is one of the hardest gyms to play in in this whole side of the State! My advice to all you Clarkrange girls is to not under-estimate these girls, no matter how good you are! They are very physical and the play an on the run style GOOD LUCK and God bless you all
  4. i'm not a HUGE fan of either team. But let's be real! Copper Basin can't handle JC, no way no how. The lost to some pretty lousy teams in their weak district, so c'mon now- let's talk reality, do you guys really think that copper basin is going to state??? Nevertheless, i am pulling for you Copper Basin, make it a good game for us district 5a girls! Power to you girls- and God bless you all
  5. i agree with you. im a strong beliver that CSAS will win the region tonight, and go pretty far in the substate touny. but c'mon, who from this region is gunna beat Jackson County or Clarkrange? Be real yall /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  6. What a game last night! Wow congrats Copper Basin!!! Way to shut them down
  7. Thank you i truely appriciate it. I'm taking into serious consideration this junior college stuff. sounds good to me!!! I'm willing to put in the hard work to get my grades up, and work hard in college to get a good education. I would LOVE to get a degree in coaching or physical education. Thank you for your posts, they've helped me tremendosly. I will make sure to let you know how it all goes in the future!
  8. I agree. whoever goes to substate and faces JC or Clarkrange WILL be drilled- bad. No competion That's what i said..........They turn around and LOSE to teams like copper basin. Mabe you read it wrong[quote
  9. Well, she's ok i guess. definatly one of the best players copper basin has right now. I'm smelling an upset tonight- I'll say copper basin wins it! But Cole and Hyatt, STEP UP!!! Let's hope Hyatt has another 25 point game for them
  10. Thank you stbulldog. I appriciate your concern. I am a sophmore, and as young as i sound, i'm of course thinking about college at this point. And i love the game so of course i'm wanting to play i college. What year should i start(am i allowed) to start all the junior colllege stuff? I have been super uninformed about this junior college stuff, so thanks for helping me out.
  11. that's true, anything can happen. I think temple will be ready, but as far as who wins, i'll say CSAS is very likely to take it. They will be on a high from their last win against Whitwell, and temple will be on a low from losing their district championship to their rival team Grace. But im still holding strong to the theory that in the tournaments, anybody can beat anyone on any given night. We will see /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  12. How can someone get to junior college? I'm a little uninformed about the whole thing. Do junior colleges recruit???
  13. Best kept secrect in the state???? Pa leez!!!!they lost to lookout valley in the disctict 6a tournaments. What happened to the dominant presense we've seen all year?
  14. i think that would be a pretty safe rule. It would ave some built in problems with it i guees, but not as many as we have with the current rule. Thanks for the suggestion, it should be proposed
  15. It's not that it's all of the sudden a problem, it's just i have just this year found out about the rule and have been somewhat effected by it this year. and so i know there are more people out there who have had some problems with it. that's my reason for starting this topic, to ask questions about it and get opinions. The reason people would not want this is because innocent people suffer(more people than you think)
  16. i'll have to somewhat reluctantly say that i am finally starting to agree with them. You are right, i feel very sorry for the innocent people who do suffer from this rule. There are some sad cases of this happening. But you ARE right, i don't think TSSAA made the rule with bad intentions. The more study it the more i realize how much the rule is needed. It's not fair at time, and NO ONE can deny that, i mean NO ONE. But recruiting is also not very fair at all. Thanks westtnbballer
  17. Finally, someone who agrees with me! Thank you very much dore83. I commend you on your post. TSSAA is a power hungary oraginzation who i belive try to be fair at times, but as a general statement i'll say, simply are not fair. I'm glad somebody finally got the guts to stand up to some of the people on this thread. Power to you I have a question for everyone out there who has any knowlege. Ok here's a senerio: A kid is a very good ball player her junior year in high school at a private school that she's been at all of her life. But due to some issues her parents had with that school, she tranfers to another private school to finish her senoir year. Of course she still wants to play ball- but then she finds she's ineligible for her last year because on the TSSAA rule. Can she file for "hardship"? Or does she just have to live with it? This could change her college carrer, because i seriously doubt(unless she is a phenom) that she would get noticed playing any kind of JV ball her senior year. Just in your opinion, what should she do?
  18. As far as i know you can't be ineligible if you played jv before at a different school. I could be wrong, but i've never heard of a school that had an ineligible jv player. Is this handbook you have up to date?
  19. Oh ok. Thanks for answering my question. I've heard of them before, but i dont think i've heard anything about their women's program before. Do they have a decent women's team?
  20. The Lady Golden Eagles seem to be a power-house in their area this year even after loosing 5 seniors last year(practically their whole starting line-up). They have beat teams such as Lookout Valley and their rivals Temple already this year. But then they turn around and lose to Teams like Copper Basin and GPS. Their coach has a great skills set to work with such as junior post Kaylan Dilts and sophmore guard Chariah Gordon, both of which have proved themselves good players this year. Accomanying them would be Senior guard Erica Elleman, who is one of the best defensive players in the area. Why are they so inconsistant? Any predictions on just how far they can go?
  21. Thanks, and i agree. warmachine7954 Posted 50 minutes ago "This post is getting worse than things you here on the Boys board. A young lady says academics aren't her thing. Well average can get you a lottery scholarship and not haveing money gets you grants. UTM can be paid for with these and no extra money needed. Unless you are a national prospect as a sophomore then colleges don't give serious looks untill kids are juniors and tehen they can disappear with a weak senior season. Basketball as a career in high school what a joke. No matter what school you play for if your good your good. My buddy was recruited hard by mid D1 schools and NAIA and we were a .500 most years he started in college from a sophomore on and played some pro. We went to DC. If your good enough people will find you. " True that warmachime7954. If your good enough people will find you. Thanks for enlightening me on the scolarship stuff, because i did'nt know that stuff. What is UTM?
  22. Sorry you guys, i guess i came across wrong. I'm not saying that im willing to put in the time academicly. I definatly am willing to do what it takes to make the grades i know are my very best. What i meant was that my grades aren't gunna get me into college anywhere(i don't think). I have an average GPA. Dragonmaster, i do agree with you, she is a sophmore and has two full years left. That's plenty of time to show colleges what she's got. Thanks for the tip
  23. Yeah, she is pretty good. how many points does she averages
  24. Well, honestly i can say that if i ever hope to get to college, it will be for atheletics, b/c academics aren't my thing, and to be honest im not exactly rich. same for my friend who is ineligible. Some students have to hope and pray that they will get noticed just to have a college education. I'm starting to understand the reasons TSSAA has for this rule. But that doesn't make it any easier for the athletic transfers. It still seems so unfair, but at least i understand some reasons. With as many people who suffer from this rule it seems like they would change it
  25. Well, to be quite frank, my friend considered a fake change of address. But she then realized that it was a dirty move and backed off of it. She now sits the bench. But its hard for me to agree with TSSAA on this one. Shouldn't they want to have fair rules for the future collegate players of america? Recruiting is unfair, and uncalled for. but even when people recriut, good players still get to play right? I mean, great atheltes are waisting a whole year of high school ball. At least when people recruit, good players can play. I'd almost rather have recruiting than ineligibilty dare i say. But i respect TSSAA for doinfg what they can
