  1. Thank you guys for answering my question. I understand a little more now. But still couldn't they just bust the people who are recruiting? My good friend played varsity basketball last year, and for reasons of moving schools because of issues the school was having, transfered to another private school. She honestly just transfering for personal reasons, not for atheleitics of any sort. She played three varsity sports in her freshman year, and now is sitting on the bench her whole sophmore year because she is ineligible. This year seems like wasted talent stuck riding the bench. Does that sound very fair to you??? This is why i dissagree with TSSAA on this rule, because honest people suffer.
  2. What is the reasoning behind the transfer ineligibilty rule? The rule states that if you transfer schools at any point of your high school carrer with previous experience of varsity level sports at the school, then you can not play varsity sports at the school you are going to one year from the last time you competed on the varsity level. This rule is hurting TSSAA more than it's helping them in my opinion. It's also hurting teams and coaches with good atheletes sitting on there bench. and it's hard for that player too who can only practice for a year(with an option of competeing on Junior Varsity level) Does anyone know why on earth they have this rule???
  3. I'll give it to you midtensportsfan. Jackson county is pretty dang good. Clark Range is too. But i seriously doubt that the refs will be the only people keeping the games close. I say CSAS, Grace, or GPS could handle teams like them( i didnt say beat, i just said handle) It's almost tournament time. and in the tournaments, anybody could beat anyone on any given night.
  4. I agree with you icecold06. They are really good this year. And let me tell you, from personal expierence it is incredably hard to play in "the dawg house" downtown. Anyone who can sucsessfuly play in that gym has accomplished something great. Not many teams have been able to do that this year fortunatly for the lady paitriots. Props to yall on that one. They play big, bad and physical this year, tending to push their opponents around and wearing them out with their "on the run" style of play
  5. I agree with you about CSAS. They blew temple out of the water last night. it was awful... if im not mistaken, the score was 64-31. What a blow out. CSAS is a force to be reckoned with this year that is for sure, because if you watch them play for more than 3 minutes you know that they are big bad and ugly. They play physical, and on the run the whole game. What happened to Temple? They held CSAS to six the last time they played, why this time is it by 33? Dyer had ten, but was outscored by her teammate J. Elliot as told by the paper. They're scoring was carried by two people as we've seen all year(usually just one person). Looks like some other players need to step up
  6. True that gluestick. Dyer has played really well this year, and im not sure exactly how many points that she scored against grace, but lets just say it wasn't her best(no offense to her). But hey, the dawgs really don't mess around, and it's temple's turn to "feel their wrath" to night, playing in the hardest gym to play in around town. I think that if Dyer, Sexton and Eliot step up in tonights game like they did in their last meeting, then temple has a chance. CSAS has been whooping up on some really good teams though(ex. Grace) so i guess we'll have to see how things turn out tonight at 6:00. And as previously stated, If temple can beat CSAS, they shouldn't have any problem in their next meeting with Grace
  7. yeah for real, anyone who can shut her down must being playing really quick and play really physical defense. Congrats for that CSAS. If they can shut them down, imagine what they can do temple tonight? They may have bearly escaped by six last time, but im not sure if they can do it tonight. Raven Hunt had another impressive game last night if you saw the game or read the paper.
  8. Well, were soon approaching the next Temple v. Grace version2 on Febuary 8th. What do you think? Dilts has been dominating everyone as it seems, and judging by their last match up, it doesn't look to hopefull for temple. But then again, Grace has been upset quite a bit lately, so who knows? If temple can play CSAS and only lose by six, just imagine what they have potential to do to to Grace......... That is if they play as well as they did against CSAS. Gordon is a huge factor for temple to shut down too, she ran over them last time. Also theres Elleman who is fast and a great defensive player as well, she seemed to shut Dyer down in their last meeting. Who knows?
  9. I had a hard time figuring out just what Hamliton heights was, so i just assumed that they were district 5a. Judging by the way they played Temple earlier this season, they're not half bad. And yes, for Dyer, she really does have a good looking and well effective shot, and she is known to break some ankles from time to time. Her defense is better than last year from what i can tell, not the greatest, but her long arms help with steals. Aprill truly is carrying their team this year no joke about that. Anyone who is putting up 35 points in more than one instance almost has to be. She IS their steals, points, and rebounds. And something that suprised me a little from seeing her earlier this season, is shes pretty tall. Hunt really is all that HH has too
  10. i stand corrected, Appril mcCann is 6a. My bad
  11. I'm gunna have to agree with you on that, from personal in-practice expierence i can tell you that not only is she a dominant player, but she's also a good leader as well. I think that Candace Dyer(Temple) would be up there too. She has really been preforming well this season, and i've noticed a huge improvment since last year. She has some really good moves she's incorperated into her skills set. Her highest this year has been 33, and she has really been a huge contributer to their team. Raven Hunt(Hamilton heights) has put up some impressive numbers this year too. for her height, she plays very strong and agressive. She had 27 pts. 18 rebounds 5 blocks last night against Copper Basin. amazing, i love watching her play. April McCann(Lookout Valley) has been proving all year that she's a scoring threat. putting up numbers such as 35 against temple. She seems to be a real leader for Lookout Valley. thats my evalutation.
  12. Well, i wouldn't say that all the Temple girls teams have been awful, i mean look at last year. They had a player that now plays for miss state. pretty darn good if you ask me. But as for Temple, well, they beat David Brainerd tonight, which isn't a huge accomplishment, but hey at least its a W for 'em. Oh and gluestick, i did go to the game, and Dyer played really well, and temple shut North down. Props to them for that. Does anybody have any hope for Temple beating CSAS????? b/c if im not mistaken they only lost to them by four or six at the beggining of the season. But i dunno, CSAS has been doing pretty well.
  13. i think that temple can beat silverdale, didn't they beat them already this season? If silverale doesn't shut Dyer down, and if the rest of the team steps up and plays well, then they should blow them away I think they have a potential to have a winning season, even if its one up. The past couple games havent looked to hopefull for them, but surely they'll pull out a win this Tuesday, mabe that will give them a little confidence going into pickett co. friday. We'll see
  14. True, she is probably the only real scoring threat, but a couple of other people have been stepping up to(Sexton and Eliot). And as for their season, Who knows whats up with them??? They don't seem to have ay heart this year. I've seen them a few times and from what i can tell they have some good players, but they only have like 6 or 7 wins this year...... Whats going on? They lost to lookout Valley? How in the world? The paper said that Dyer only had 8. They must have shut her down
