Do they have all of their players healthy right now?

I now coach after being a referee for 8 years and do get frustrated when referees make bad calls or do not know the game. I am human. It seems like you have a personal vendetta against one person. The person that you are trying to rip is a very good referee who is fair and knows the game.

According to the DNJ, Coach Dean resigned and is retiring from both coaching and teaching. I suspect it's all tied in with the new administration coming in.... word on the street is that LaVergne Middle School's coaches were there for Monday afternoon practice...

TSSAA says you can not practice until the day after school ends, so how did a practice happen on Monday?

Phargis- I am talking about elgibility from TSSAA. The website says "In order for a transfer student with an athletic record to be eligible at another school there must be a bona fide change of residence by the athlete's parents."

It doesnt talk about special situations like this though.

With or without her they are going to be tough.

BC, its good to know 5 players did not play from one school and you think there could be the same ammount from the other school. Do you know how many games the suspensions are for? The amount of games usually is dealt as to the severity of the action. It could cause both of the schools to lose some seedings for Tournament play and possibly regional play. It was a bad move.

PHargis, with all due respect, I assure you that everyone involved in this matter has a computer and knows about CoachT. However, the outstanding people of this district and the two teams involved have chosen to take the high road and not take this unfortunate situation and make it worse by telling their side of the story or what they heard. I respect your knowledge and enthusiam for high school girls basketball, but it would be appreciated if you would not try to fuel the flame, intentionally or not intentionally. Is there some type of issue with the coaches at East Lit. They have done well up until now but it looks as though they have really struggled of late? Whats up?

Same "issue" as John Calipari, Rick Barnes, and Bill Self.

Did anybody get to see this game. Would love to hear how this one went. If they hit 14 3's, how many did they put up? Looks like an exciting game on paper.

A lot of close games this week in the district. The second half should be interesting.

Just checked the scores on the Tennessean page to see if anyone played and noticed that CPA and Lipscomb did play their game. According to the paper, CPA's Meredith Roman hit a shot with 3 seconds left to win the game 39-37.

It is about time to give East Lit some credit. Just take a look at how many players score in the box score. They are playing everyone that has a jersey and are playing at a high level. This team looks good, but the future looks even better.

It is unfortunate that the players mentioned above were not recognized by their coaches. When coach Ellis took over the program she asked for all the stats and scorebooks from the previous seasons, but was told that they could not be found. East is hosting a tournament today (Tuesday) and tomorrow(Wednesday) and Coach Ellis will be there all day. Please bring your records by so those girls can be recognized for their accomplishments.

Kelli Cowan became the first girl in East Literature's history to score 1,000 points in their victory over CPA tonight. Kelli is an oustanding young lady who succeeds in all aspects of life. Congratulations Kelli!
