There is a substate, but tssaa is trying something new in baseball this year where is you make it to the regional championship game you get to play in the substate(sectionals) Then the winner of that gets to move on to memphis. So you have to win monday and friday to get to state. winning the region doesn't mean anything if you dont win friday.

thanks bigtimer, you guys had a great run in the tourney whoever thought they you guys would beat giles co. and page. but you guys have nothing to be ashamed of. yeah we made some costly errors today, but we will correct it before the regions. the reason fairview didnt want to travel to marshall co was for the fact we had no pitching left, we rather rest for the regions and without pitching it would of been hard to beat marshall twice for the title. Fairview pulled out a close game today against Loretto 6-5 in 9 innings. Both teams played their hearts out and i will give it to Loretto. You guys pushed us to the max today. Its ashame that a team had to lose. Fairvie w has chosen not to travel to Marshall Co. so they are the champs. Fairview is the runner-up and is making their 2nd regional appearance in three years. Fill us in on all the details Pageman i am too tired to type anymore.

Tonight Fairview fell to Marshall Co. 3-2 in a hard fought game. Not making any excuses but my man yellowjacket21 said it best when he said we had to play against two shades of blue tonight. Junior Matt Putnam pitched five strong innings for the jackets who scored two in the first. Wilshire came in, in the 6th and the homeplate umpire reversed and obvious out call and allowed marshall co. to score their two runs needed to win the game. We had our chance in the last inning but we couldn't come though. Marshall is lucky they dont end up like Oakland did in 2001 and out of the tournement for an illegal player they used thursday night.

how are things going down in waverly? what are the scores and schedule for the rest of the tournament

Pageman why doesn't page protest the game, we all know they do anything to win in lewisburg and someone needs to teach them the lesson. if tssaa rules in favor of riverdale they have to rule in favor of you guys.

Look genius when did ravenwood beat fairview? oh wait yeah that was in preseason so that means JACK. Fairview is currently 25-6 and is playing for a regional berth tomorrow, where are half the williamson co. teams at home of course. so dont say ravenwood beat fairview unless we play a reg season game against you guys.

Tonight the Fairview Yellow Jackets downed the Loretto Mustangs 4-0. Beau Lejeune pitched the complete game shut-out even though he didnt have his best stuff. Loretto pitched their ace Luke Lamm who had Fairview baffled the first two innings. Here is the scoring summary, Bottom of the third with one out Jim Lampley ripped a ball at the third baseman who batted it down but was scored as a hit. Luke Putnam walked, and his brother Matt popped out making it two outs and Ben Wilshire at the plate. Ben then hit a bloop hit on a check swing into right that scored Lampley. Fourth inning there were two outs and back to back hit by Brayton Hudgins and Chris Butler made it runners at first and second with two outs. Jim Lampley then rips one into the right center gap to score Hudgins and Butler. That ended the scoring that inning. The Jackets added another run in the fifth and Beau did the rest. Great job Jackets!! Stay focus and we can do some great things!!

tallkid, i didnt see the field but i talked to coach before fifith and he said his feet were soaked from walking in the infield, so it is pretty bad up there.

what is the plan for the tourney? if we play today and it rains again what will happen to the games we play? i think before we play the games the coaches need to get together and make a plan because fairview's infiled has standing water on it and it isn't playable, and i dont see how marshall's outfeild will be dry either. it isn't worth serious injury playing on a wet field. plus why should fairview be punished by playing their game away from home after we earned the right to play at home.

Tallkid I saw that also in the paper. I dont know i think TSSAA doesn't care how you get two teams to region as long as you have two to represent your district. Our field is a mess right now and with rain in the forcast for tomorrow it isn't looking promising for tomorrow or friday. we might have to resort to taking the top two seeds. do you think this long layoff is going to cause some upsets in baseball?

dont worry bigtimer they yelled at me when me and there first baseman collided on accident and i got blamed for taking him out. its part of the game and like you said in another post it makes you play that much harder. yeah i want to get the games in also but i dont want to risk playing on a dangerous field to do so.

they aren't making excuses they are just sayin it is hard on kids trying to cope with personal problem to come out and play 100% without thinking abiout their problems. i am not from lexington just a hs baseball player and my thoughts and prayers go out to those two kids. it would be nice if people realize that baseball isn't life especially when loss of things especially homes and things. so stay off their backs and let them cope with there tragic loss.

what did loretto do after the giles co game? that wasn't me pageman that did that to you, i really can't remember though. yeah i dont think we are ever going to get to play the districts. Our field is basically under water here and currently it is pouring down here and it deosnt look good.

man i can't believe someone actually remembered who i was during basketball season. yeah it was fun heckling everyone during the season even though we didnt win many games, for crying out loud i heckled Giles co. , i was juts a die hard fan no hamr meant by anything i ever said. but yeah we have had one heck of a season and we aren't satisfied at all. so be ready for a cat fight when we get this game in.

Pageman the games has been moved to tomorrow night at 7. the problem it the weather doesn't look promising the rest of the week. so hopefully we can get these games in and if we can't i have no clue what will happen. bigtimer7 are u pitching tomorrow night, we haven't seen you all year. yeah the game will be exciting and fairview will be pumped playing at its field.

well it is about 11 here and fairview and the sun is out and it is very windy so hopefully it will give us enough time to let the field dry. the only problem is that there is still chances of rain all day long. i hope we get to play fairview is pumped and ready to go.

Monday night the Fairview Yellow Jakcets will host the Loretto Mustangs in the opening of the District 9AA tourney. Loretto is coming off a big upset over a very talented Giles Co. team. While Fairview is coming off a big win against AAA Brentwood last Wednesday. So Fairview has had some time to rest. The game should be very exciting and I know both teams will come out trying to win. If you can come out to Fairview at 7 pm tomorrow night for a great game.

i predicted that loretto would beat giles co and i was right. must of been a great game. well can't pull for you anymore loretto but thanks for putting out giles for us
