When is this game taking place? is it at RBS or Friendship? and yeah i'd say Clay won't be in the best of moods come friday. JC didn't play well but was still able to beat a good Clay Co. team. Should be an interesting tournament coming up!

What a great game!! JC wins in overtime 72-67. One question .. where was Coach Godwin?? He wasn't on the bench tonight so just curious?? Give Clay some credit they played awesome but in the end JC found a way to win. Now on to Pickett Co. and if they win there then the district title is theirs! Godwin had atleast 30 points and should have had 40 McMillan had over 20 i know as i predicted!!! Boles was shut down the first half but had a good overtime hitting a 3 from halfcourt practically. I say these two teams will play atleast 2 maybe 3 more times this year. Great game to watch as a fan but you Clay Co. fans whine and cry so much its ridiculous! Can't believe the ref called a foul with 9 seconds to go it almost cost us the game on what should have been the winning layup! Oh well justice prevailed and the best team won in the end!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Class A teams try to zone him because most don't have anyone that can match up with him. Some AA teams try to match up with him others zone him and the AAA teams have tried to play him man with no success outside of Germantown where he fouled out early in clearly his worst game of the year. Clay is a good team and so is CSAS. I think Jackson County, Clay Co. and Friendship are the 3 top teams up here but Pickett Co is getting better and so are some of the other teams up here so come tournament time it will be a tough region to win but i see JC coming out top up here when its all said and done and i think they will have to beat Clay Co. Who is the other team down there besides CSAS that you see making the substate?

Oh don't get me wrong i don't look at this with rose colored glasses. West Tn has long been the king of mens basketball in the state of Tn, notice i didn't argue with Humboldts ranking? I'm just saying that no team with a losing record should ever be in the top ten of any poll and Forrest is not that good i've seen them play.

6'3 but he's a tough matchup because he is so long and strong. He was the player of the year in football and 1st team all state in football so he is alot stronger than most kids his size. If you put a bigger guy on him he will just take them outside and knock down the 3 or blow by them. If you don't put a big guy on him he just posts them up and scores at will. No team has been able to guard him one on one but the ones that have been successful are the ones that have collapsed on him and made someone else beat them. Thats why JC needs the others to step up and score and if they are going to get to the state championship. McMillan can score 20 a night and usually does, JC just needs some of the younger guys to score a little more and they will be fine. JC will face 2 tough tests of that this week when we host arch rival Clay County then travel to Pickett County where you never get a call and believe me they will be hanging all over Godwin up there so the others will have to step up. We will know alot more about this team this time next week, whether they are going to be contenders or just pretenders....

I got news for all of ya, there is NO WAY Forrest or Lake County deserves to be even mentioned in the top ten. 7 wins 8 losses? Are you kidding me? I don't care who you say you've played you have a losing record so end of discussion. LC is average at best, Forrest got beat by Moore County for crying out loud! Give me a break Jackson County had them down 35 in the 3rd quarter! Ya'll just keep believing these polls and lets see how far you get!

On paper this shouldn't even be a contest but LA hasn't been able to beat anyone lately so we will see just how far the mighty have fallen. If LA can be beat by Smith Co. then Pickett has a legitimate shot at beating them at home. I say LA wins but not by much.

Jackson County can score in bunches with their defensive intensity and the athletes they have. Their guards have been hot and cold shooting up till now so they need to heat up and when they do look out! JC needs to win this game at home if they hope to win the district this year and i look for them to hold serve on their home court. Clay has no inside game to speak of but they shoot the ball well and play hard so it will be a tough game. I still say JC wins by double digits.

After Clays big win over RBS at home they travel to Gainesboro to take on Jackson County for what could be the first of many meetings this year. Clay County has the reigning District MVP in Trent Boles on their team and Jackson County has one best players in the state on their team in Jordan Godwin. The game is at JC so i gotta believe that gives JC an edge but Clay came in here and beat us last year so JC will need to be on its A game. If JC is hitting the outside shot then it will be a long night for Clay Co. because they can't guard Godwin one on one. They will have to try and zone him and collapse on him when he gets it. JC will have to shut down the outside shooters of Clay Co. otherwise it will be a long night for them. 2 years ago fans from Celina were throwing things at the players and coaches from JC after they lost the game so crowd control may be an issue again! If JC can win at home against Clay Co. and go into Pickett Co. on friday and win they should have a lock on the district for the regular season. Look for Drew McMillan to have a big night for JC. He is the x-factor because he's capable of putting 20-30 points up at any time and he always plays well against Clay. So i got JC winning 71-53

I heard the players in question have been kicked off the team which is what should have been done. The RBS players started the fight by going into the stands (which i hear they probably regret because of the beating they got) so they should be kicked off the team and never allowed to play high school sports again!

Heard it was a kid named Washburn or Washington and the new kid not sure what number he is maybe 12?

I have just found out that after the Clay Co. vs RedBoiling Springs game 2 players from RBS went into the stands and got into a brawl with the students from Clay Co. This was a knock down drag out, fist fight and it was all started by the RBS players. What a disgrace to RBS as a team and a community. What are you people teaching over there? Heard this happened at Pickett County too but this time it got out of hand with an all out brawl. There has to be suspensions involved for the rest of the year i would imagine. Anyone have any info on this game?

Who was it that said this LA team was going to beat Jackson County? You guys can't even beat Smith Co. what a joke!!! I said it before and i will say it again, anyone that says its a good thing for LA basketball to NOT have Richard Melton as a basketball coach is a friggin MORON!!! LA has went to being a state tournament contender to a one and done in the region. Ya'll are pure genius's over there in Overton County! If i had any pull over there at all i would FIRE the idiot school board members and board of directors that decided to railroad Melton. How's that working out for ya boys? Amen to the poster that said they are getting what they deserve but its a shame the players have to suffer the consequences of a few old men that "think" they know basketball. Maybe in 1950 they did not in 2011.

And i will give you the field! Its the same thing we hear EVERY YEAR how good the teams are from Scotts Hill, Middleton, LC, etc... and every year we beat them by double digits more times than not. I hope we draw LC or Scotts Hill first game as it will be an automatic bye to the second round! Oh and guess what JC doesn't have a SENIOR on the squad!!! We've only been beaten 2 times, once by undefeated AAA Wilson Central and one by a ranked school out of Fla. So bring on the hate people but just remember you heard it hear first, if LC, Scotts Hill or whomever comes out of the west, if you draw JC or Moore Co. in the first round it will be ONE AND DONE so no need to book your hotel rooms for more than one night!

This is another typical mid season poll. They always put West Tn teams at the top, and there are always alot of West Tn teams in the top ten. They play weak schedules and thus have good records, but when they get to the buro' they are ALWAYS beaten by the teams from Middle Tn and to be more specific District 7A. Moore Co. is as good as anyone in Class A as well and better than anyone except maybe Jackson County and then even that game will be a toss up. I just hope JC and Moore Co. get in opposite brackets come the state tournament because that is your championship game and it would be an injustice to have it any other way. No team out of the west has a chance against either of these two teams and i mean NO CHANCE!

Ya'll can say what you want to about Melton but by God he was a good coach and his teams were tough to beat. There is nothing about him that says quit, i am not a personal friend of his, we don't hang out or anything like that, i've just seen his teams in action and they would run you out of the gym if you were not on your game. He did not quit, he got railroaded and all of us out here that aren't friends with the new coach and his "family" can see it for what it is. LA is not and will never again be the force that he made them! A good coach is worth his weight in gold and he is/was a good one! Upperman proved my theory right. LA has more talent than anyone and McWilliams beat them badly with solid, fundemental coaching. LA's boys want to win just as bad as any of the teams do, so what was the reason they always won? Talent played a part but LA's boys are loaded with talent again this year, no that wasn't it it was the COACH! Rabbit you get on here and call me names all the time which just shows your imatureaty and ignorance, but thats beside the point you have no clue why the boys have been successful if you say that it wasn't because of Richard Melton. He didn't quit, he was forced out by '"LITTLE JOHNNY'S DADDY SO LITTLE JOHNNY COULD BE THE COACH" plain and simple. And LA deserves everything they get from here on out!!! GO BEES!!!

Every year they vote a west tn girls team #1 because of their record against weak teams and every year when they come to the buro its a cake walk for Jackson County when they play them. The finals for the Gold in Class A for the girls wil be Jackson County vs Moore Co. none of the West Tn teams have even a remote possibility of being in the championship game.

What a joke this poll is. Jackson County hasn't lost to a single A team all year let alone 3 single A teams. Perry Co. not being in it is ridiculous as well. Good thing this isn't like the BCS lol. It will all be decided on the court!

Pickett's problem is they aren't getting any new players to transfer in. How about the Clay Co. game on the fouls???? I noticed you didn't bring that up and they were very one sided and it wasn't in favor of Clay. Got a friend that was there and she said its was 8-2 at one point with the refs using some make up calls in the end to make it look good. Bibb deserves more technicals than he gets!!!! the guy is screaming and crying the entire game and making hand gestures. Its a wonder he doesn't get thrown out of every game, you're lucky its only one T a game!!
