  1. I'm not understanding the negativity in Livingston. They are still a really good team, and the district still goes through them. Cannon has to play exceptionally well to win at their place Friday nite, but it can be done. LA has come back down to Earth a little bit, but still is filled with talent! Go Lions!!!
  2. Any thoughts/predictions on the Cannon/Forrest game tonite....2 very good teams!
  3. I like the vote of confidence, but I'll have to say this will be a tough test for our Lions/Lionettes! We have very good Forrest teams coming in here tonight though, so we better not over look them.
  4. Cannon wins big! But, the community of Woodbury's hearts go out to the community of Jamestown.
  5. I agree..and LA will definiely be hard to beat!
  6. If I am not mistaken Hume-Fogg was in the state tournament last year and CCHS defeated them easily. Siegel played them the day before and CCHS beat them much worse than siegel did I'm not saying it's our girl's fault that they're blowing teams out on the scoreboard. I'm just stating that it'd be nice to see our team in close situations, becuase you know they will be in the district.
  7. I agree with both of you. LA is well coached and should be favored to win the district. However I believe that this year our girls will get over the hump and at least split w the "big two" (LA and UHS). I hope I'm right, however I wish our girls would play some tougher competition in the early going to help prepare us for district play!
  8. We played well against Gordonsville an Friday night and won 60-30. Saturday didn't go so well as we were shut down by Hume_Fogg and lost by 10. It sounded like we couldn't hit a shot. Everytime I turned around I heard that we were missing a shot. We're @ Warren County Tuesday night, which I can go to, so I know I'll bring em luck!
  9. Cannon beat Coffee Co 72-62 Monday night, plays in their own T'giving tourney against Gordonsville and Hume-Fogg. That's our update, what about everybody else. How are the rest of the teams doing?
  10. No problem! Your a legend in this district! I agree LA deserves all they get, and I made that point known. I was just curious now after football to see how everybody is playing.
  11. Is this a LA thread or 8AA topic? If all we're gonna do is talk about Livingston (who deserves the talk) then we'll invite King21 in to continue filling up their water bottles and washing thier laundry. Can we please hava a status report so far on who everyone else has played? Cannnon beat Bledsoe County 73-50 something, and lost to Tullahoma by around 14 76-52. Those #'s aren't correct, but they should be close. The radio loses signal early in this small town!
  12. Any thoughts or predictions? I have no clue about Tullahoma, how were they last year? I'll be listening attentively, Go Lions!
  13. Where is everybody playing tomorrow night? We are at Bledsoe County to open up.
  14. Cannon played @ Shelbyville's playday Saturday and beat Stratford by around 10 or 12 and Webb of Bell Buckle, but I didnt hear how much in that game. I did see them beat Moore Co at our Jamboree and like what I see so far, even though its early!
  15. I'm glad we here at Cannon have scheduled a home and home w/ you guys. It's always made sense because both our fan bases travel well, and we're 30 minutes away. Who do your girls and boys have returning? Should be great games to pay and see. Good Luck.
  16. Greenbrier is pretty darn good! I don't know about your district, but if they're 3rd then that's a tough district! One of our players said we played them in camp and they had 3 kids that could really play.
  17. NOT siegel! You'll get outcoached again! I'll take my chances w/ a Chattanooga area team.
  18. You are a boro Idiot!!! The "Boro" has its University's Head Women's Coach who has taken that program to the sweet 16, Riverdale Women winning the first ever State Title for "the Boro", and siegel's Athletic Director/Head Women's Coach Building an excellent Program. They are all from Cannon County so watch your mouth, or no longer refer to yourself as a BoroBaller.
  19. We have them on the schedule this year, I hope they're not that dominant!
  20. I agree this is a year very favorable for our young ladies. We must get over the UHS and LA hump before we call ourselves in the running for the district though (IMO). Which I know we can do!!! I look forward to great things this year for CC, and of course the most competitive district in AA Basketball!
  21. I love all of the talk about my Lions! However, I agree with other posts, it is definitely LA and everybody else for the District title as of now. I do believe CC and DC are a toss up, with both coached extremely well and if I remember who all DC has returning should be evenly matched. I see York as a potential sleeper this year with some key players returning and a new/old coach. Where's everybody else going for playday/scrimmages? I believe CC is @ Shelbyville for a playday, and that's all I heard. Wildcat has Coach said?
  22. anybody got any insight on the new 7 AA now, with Chatt Christian, Grundy, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Notre Dame? I'm guessing Chatt Christian is the favorite in the district, how good are they?
  23. Any chance Smith comes in overlooking Cannon? That lack of focus would be a huge benefit for CC.
