I think that PC and Summertown will split during the season. I predict that the District championship will be a barn burner between these 2. Summertown is struggling right now, and PC is on a roll, but Summertown loves to bring it to the buzzer and PC has a never give up attitude. PC has more "want to" right now. Summertown has a huge target on their back and i hope they can handle the pressure. I belive that Summertown has more talent but PC has more heart. Nah, i didnt get a chance to go. I was hoping that someone else could tell me how it went. I did ask how that Bubba kid did, and all i got was....wow. They said he plays even better this year. But again i wasnt there and i dont know.

I heard that Sante Fe scrimmaged Summertown yesterday. Does anyone know how it went?

Overall i give it an A+. I was worried about parking, but it turned out not to be a problem at all, even though i got there late. I think i counted 130+ kids. There were some teams that were just great, and some kids that blew me away. I wish i could tell you the names of the kids that were outstanding, but sadly i didnt get a name sheet. The speaker Kirk Haston was very motivational, impressive. Andre did a great job, as usual. The only thing i would change is more variety in the "concessions", im a big guy and need food, lol.

Perry county will not go undefeated in the District. They played Summertown yesterday at Cornersville. The scores were close but no means a blow out. It is true that Summertown lost a great bunch of seniors and have NONE this year. The eagles are young, but have the experience of Mathews and Clifton. I really anticipate them doing very well.

You pretty much stated the obvious "we just support the other teams when ours is not playing". Why not support all the teams ALL the time. Tell me, did you make the 20 min drive to MP? Or on the RARE occasion that one of their (summertown) games were on the radio did you listen to it? We are very proud of our boys, they have played their hearts out. THey want this more than they have EVER wanted it. They are a pretty young team 2. Starting 5 are 3 seniors and 2 sophomores. Hopefully the fans will turn out at Murphy Center like they did in MP. Dont get us wrong there were ALOT of fans in MP from all over Lawrence County. It just didnt make sense to play at LCHS just so the locals could come. The game was about the team being comfortable on the court and not about convenience for the locals.
