  1. COMMON any school could be a powerhouse with DIVISION ONE talent if they were allowed to recruit kids like BA ,MBA etc-I mean lil sisters of the poor high school could be powerful if they went out and recruited some kids as well -
  2. please note you read too much into the we own your turf , it was really meant to be in a kind hearted jab and not one of epic porportion. It was really directed from last year from some of the Millington posts about how they were going to walk all over us... yes i was at the game and was an espn instant classic. I do wish you all the best this season
  3. millington needs to worry about beating INDEPENDANCE ouch we own your turf
  4. 6-5A best memory of last season... what was your favorite memory of last season - what one play stood out the most for you? me, was Franlin @ Indy playoff game - the overflow crowd and the " catch " in the 40 seconds of the game to set up Veres game winning field goal as it looked for sure OT was coming HONORABLE mention - INDYS firstever win over Ravenwood- i was leaving the stadium and in the parking lot close to 60 students were gathered in a circl arm in arm singing Elton Johns " Tiny Dancer "

  6. regardless of the preseaon pigskin picks lets just applaud the region as a whole for proving they are one of the best regions if not the best in state. This year you cant pick any clear cut favorite to walk away with the title but i will have to say Franklin may just take the title.THE ONE QUESTION i ask you all is how many region losses will win the divison this year. Brentwood should battle Franklin for the honrs ut my dark horse altough losing many on each side of the ball is INDY- with Heckman at the helm the kid is a winner they may surprise a few along the way - regardless good luck to all teams and thier fans!!
  7. As i mentioned in an earlier post - I am a fan that lives nearby IHS i am just glad the team plays hard each and every week and that the cummunity gets behind the team .. My family and I enjoy going to Eagle Stadium on Fridays and watching high school football - boys playing for the love of the game and for school pride..... As a partial observer that has coached the England national team - played and coached at Div 1 i can tell you that Heckman is a the real deal at QB - he reminds me alot of Ravenwood QB Becker but with a better arm and both these kids have that certain "It" factor to them. . . Smith did have to face some very tough teams but yoiu have to look at the Memphis East game . . . posted this week This past weekend the National Underclassmen Combine came to Middle Tennessee to evaluate the talent in the current 9th grade and 10th grade classes. We had several guys attend the combine held at Battle Ground Academy on Saturday. Those that went were: Dalton Burge, Alex Heckman, Zack Neiderland, Austin Hastings, Kreg Kinnaman, Shaun McKay, Greg Parker and Nathan Hawkins. The combine was a great test for these guys and also a great way to see how they measure up against guys their age, at their positions, etc. The combine is also a great way for guys to showcase their talents and gain the quality exposure for recruiting purposes in the near future. It should also be noted here that one of our players, Alex Heckman (QB), was recognized as the Combine MVP in the morning session. Alex is now eligible and invited to attend the Elite/Ultimate 100 Combine this summer. Congrats to Alex, and props to the rest of the guys that went and represented IHS!! You can visit the website www.nationalunderclassmen.com to find out more about the combine and also check in a few weeks to see the results from the
  8. LOOK-- we are all love football here so lets remember that its high school football here - yes its a forum but cmon really lets get a grip over this Heckman /Smith stuff . . . . Look i coached the England national team and just happened to call thompson station home. i have no kids at INDY but adpoted them since the school is 1 mile from my house...I go out there on Friday for the love of the game the pure love of the game (high school kids playing for the love of it and for thier school pride ) also i go for the cummunity support and what a great way to spend a Friday with my family-- yes i wanna see INDY win but cmon realize its high school ball - as long as INDY plays hard on every snap i will be a supporter
  9. Heckman came in agianst Memphis east to start the 3rd quarter. I would say Heckman is a dual threat to pass and run, i mean look at his passing stats last season think over 1800 yds passing and over 60% comp rate in half a season, sure he lost his recieving corps this year. regardless i am a big fan of high school ball, Indy just happens to be down the street from the house and most of the kids I know b/c of my daughter - I appluad them for a great season and for making Friday nights a great family function and for bringing the community together... GO EAGLES
  10. With alot of talent on both sides of the ball graduating - How will INDY fare next year - I know they have a talent at QB heckman and in the secondary with T. Sheppard....
  11. I see that the "tennessean" has stated that it looks like the Eaglesville H.S. coach ( sorry didnt remember his name) appears to be the new coach at SHHS? Dont know to much about Eaglesville HS football saw that he was something like 44-64 coaching record.... does anyone know why Delauhter turned down SHHS
  12. How do you think INDY will do next year seeing that theu are losing alot of thier starters? All the best...
  13. Franklin early and often ========== Rebs by 13
  14. I know she is just a soph but i think she is ave. 17pts a game - anyword if she is a legit Div 1 prospect
  15. no just rereading some dumb predictions by people that live in single wide trailers like yourself...when you tell me that you played Football at Notre Dame then come calling lil boy and for the record your mom is next to me
  16. wow INDY made ur gallatin boys look like they were the powderpuff team
  17. its all about coach smith his head is too big for the school
  18. congrats to both players and i wish them well at Buffalo. Not sure if any saw "tennessean paper" today but didnt Pearl Cohn get 14 players on scholarship? Does the Indy coaching staff send out any information (DVD's ) to universitys about its players? Although team finished as a runnerup it does not guarantee any more reason for scholarships, i can assure all that many DIV 1 coaches were in the stands @ MTSU for the championship game as well as over 20 small school aka. Austin Peay etc. Seeing Ryan Consiglio play and on tape not sure why some smaller school have noit been in contact wtih him
