Not so fast, there are 4 2A teams. Jellico, Oneida, Wartburg, and Oliver Springs. There are 3 1A schools. Coalfield, Oakdale and Sunbright. Now the way the playoffs will be divided, has me a bit confused, but I am sure it will be all sorted out in the Fall. BTW, I would disagree with Coalfield being the best team in Morgan County. Unless you guys hit the recruiting trail, you may be a little short on talent. Oakdale has transfered a big lineman in I have heard. Used to be at Wartburg. Could be a game changer. Who Alex???

Coalfield beat O.S Tuesday 15-10. It was a good game. I don't think the boys think they have the district wrapped. They haven't played Wartburg yet. Probably will be another good game. I agree, they have got to get the stix going.

Yes, Coalfield is 1-A. There is only about 500 kids in the entire school. K-12 You have heard of them, where are you from? Fulton is a 2 or 3A school, not sure. It depends on what sport their playing. There are some really good athletes at Coalfield. Don't knock them because their a 1-A school. They just have to work 2 or 3 x's harder to get any recognition.

Coalfield played Folton today, They won 1-0. Good pitching and good defence.

Oliver Springs DID NOT win the game with Coalfield, it was handed to them on a silver plater by the officials. They called the game SO one sided that it was obvious there was something going on besides a far game. Even the Oliver Springs fans were stuned at some of the calls. I can't believe that this is allowed or tolerated. I would love to have a tape of this game to send to TSSAA for review. I know that officials have been payed off with "sides of beef" in football from Oliver Springs. I wonder what it is in basketball.

Just wondering who people think that one excellent player/athelete is. Coalfield girls have a few good players.

Morgan Co. paper says that David Currier is in region 4a. I'm not sure how they get the info. for this but it can't be from the stats because Oakdale only won 2 games all season I think and Currier as a pitcher has no wins under his belt. I really would like to know how the coaches pick.
