Holly is a good pitcher but she's coming off of shoulder surgery... anybody know how her fall went? Hopefully she's back to form for the hs season. Mt Juliet has 10 freshmen I believe and several of them are absolute studs.

I'll 2nd soph. Sara Beth Roberts at Mt Juliet. She's been playing 18u since she was 13 or 14. I believe she may wind up catching this year because of the two new pitchers they will be breaking in. She has already heard from Florida. I can't imagine a better catcher anywhere.

You are absolutely, 100% wrong. I too was at the game and had a much better vantage point than your left field deer stand. The ump was behind the plate when the play occured at home. He then moved around to in front of the plate and said to the catcher, "show me the ball!" I heard it and everybody in the stadium probably could have heard him. Upon seeing the ball he then signaled safe. I too thought it was odd that the ump working the 3rd base side continued having conversations between innings with a CC fan. It wasn't just one inning either. It was a good game. Hopefully these two teams will meet again this season.

I saw one of your posts on here so I gave a brief update. You could give a much better update though and some of the guys would enjoy one when time allows. I know what you mean about it being more and more like volchat... fortunately I think it has gotten better since the season ended. You know those football guys can't hang out forever... we hope! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> My oldest daughter is doing great, hitting the ball really well. She plays for MJ. The youngest is still in middle school. She started out hitting it really good, batting in the 4 hole, etc. She's been in a slump the past week and a half though. We got her with a really good hitting coach over the winter and it helped a lot. She still has a way to go because her mechanics have gotten worse as the season has worn on (thus the slump). Hey lds a couple of us would like an update from you over on hoopsville. I know it's a very busy time of year for you but if you get a minute we'd appreciate it.

My daughter has already been to Jack City and used the Right View Pro software. I can't tell you how excited she is and we are too! Google it if you're not familiar with what it is and does. We are very fortunate to have it available in this area! Besides the Right View Pro software, the people are Jack City are great, knowledgable softball teachers. My daughter will continue to go there (as long as they will have her /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ).

Excellent point. Also don't forget that Cat is a very good hitter, her bat is being missed as well. I too would be surprised if they aren't in the thick of things come tourny time.

You know, there is really no reason to be that way. Yes I made an error. Sorry, it should have been "were" instead of "where." To be such a smarta** about it is unnecessary though. To say Beech and MJ will battle it out for the region title is a bit presumptuous at this point. Yes they are both good teams but as long as Levie is pitching Wilson Central will have a chance and Hendersonville is the defending district champ. None of those four should be written off this early in the season.

Shelby was sick and Merick is hurt too. MJ will be fine when district games resume. Not sure their Chatt. trip won't wind up being a good learning experience for them and propel them on to great things.

You are 100% correct in regards to W/L's, freshmen and jv playing, pitching, etc. Was the Page Playday at Fly Park? If so that explains everything. They are very cautious about letting those fields be played on when wet.

I know this is not what you are asking for but it's all I can tell you... MJ won all 4 games they played; Creekwood, Father Ryan, Riverdale and Blackman. Riverdale beat St. Benedict. Sorry but that's all I remember.
