  1. Sorry, I did mean if CPA "got" another "Z". I in know way meant anything else! Sorry, if that's the way it came across.
  2. I really don't think that is appropriate for posters to lie about what Drew Maddux did or did not say. I personally, am not a fan, but some of these post sound totally fabricated. I can't believe I am defending CPA, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
  3. I can't believe that I am admitting to this one. But since you asked, I am not a DL fan, but I was at the triple overtime game, to hopefully see our deserving coach receive, " The Coach of the Year Award". Which he did receive and deserved. I personally saw "Z" slap the backboard after DL's shot which led to the ball falling off the rim. Personally, I don't care because I wanted DL to lose, but you guys are getting ridiculous with your whining. You have one more year to prevail over the rest of our district, but after that the slate is clean unless you guys bring in another"Z".
  4. Wow! a "whole county, which can barely read and write from my view"............So now CoachT posters speak for an entire county. Come on CPA you're reaching on this one. You lost in a tight game, get over it! I've seen your team play with some questionable wins this year. And I am sure you will come back with some ridiculous post to defend yourself. Defend yourself all you want. You will be back next year stronger than this year. So make that your new goal. Dyer County deserved this win whether you like it or not. So go ahead and rip my post and ignore my positive comment about next year. I love how you guys can not take a compliment. Why is that?
  5. Give me a break. Gloves off. You have a great team, and I have tried to acknowledge that. Why do you downplay Z Mason, he is the real deal. He is a coach's dream as well as a teammate's dream. Why do CPA fans have a problem realizing without Z you are just like the rest of us. We all know that you have Hunter Miller and we have Shawn Kennedy. And we all know that we all have equally upcoming players. So, game changes every year, and results change every year and that doesn't look good for you guys in a couple of years does it?
  6. This is getting ridiculous! If I was a CPA Fan I would sit back and laugh at every post that I read and then laugh some more. But no, you have to keep trying to defend your team. Why? Your record speaks for itself. Like someone else said, sit back and enjoy your success, quit trying to defend it. No one should have to defend success unless you personally question your success. In your case there should be no question. I was really trying to change my attitude about your organization because I thought you were beginning to act like true winners. I know you are winners, I know your record, so please save your response. From what I read here, my initial feelings about CPA this year is correct. I tried to be nice with my compliments and best wishes, but no I was ripped along with the rest of us "pitiful fans of lousy teams". You have an awesome team this year, you will have an awesome team next year, and then...... will "your coach of the year" stick around for your "next awesome team". Good question, I know!!!
  7. Wow, Giles County must have had two awesome games the past two nights. I stayed to watch the David Lipscomb/Giles County game and it sounds like tonight's game must have been very similar. Since I didn't see tonight's game I wanted to see the stats on how the game played out. A very interesting comparison. Both nights Giles County came out slow in the first quarter and then turned it on the rest of the game. They have a very good team and I think the coach deserves a lot of credit. Just for those that care I have copied the stats below. (from The Tennessean) Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 OT Total Giles Co. Lipscomb came back from nine down in the fourth quarter to force the extra session and had a chance to win in the first overtime when Evan Webb went 1-for-2 on 2 free-throw attempts with 4.1 seconds left to take the game to a second overtime. Giles County's Dominique Harney and Artez Franklin combined for nine second-overtime points to give the Bobcats the win. Creshaun Holt led Giles County in scoring with 21 points. Giles Co. Throughout the season I have been impressed with your talent, just didn't like the arrogant attitude. You guys are much more enjoyable to watch when you do what you do best and just smile while your doing it. You looked more like real winners. Your cheerleaders looked more like cheerleaders without their black shirts. Sorry, I'm being sincere, I just had to give some credit to you guys because of my last post. Good Luck!
  8. What happened to this post discussion? Well this is what I had to add to the discussion...... I have no doubt that CPA works extremely hard, otherwise they would not be where they are at this point in the "game". But everyone else that is still in this "race to state" has also worked extremely hard. I think what drives most of us crazy is CPA's attitude. Yes you have a great basketball team with some very gifted athletes. I don't think anyone is denying that. The problem is your coach and your players act like they are already the state champs. Your administration has let your cheerleaders wear black shirts that have 3-15-08 since the beginning of the season. I was there when CPA won the district, and I saw a coach and his players acting like they had just won the state championship. Obviously you guys are winners, just learn to act like winners. You can still respect the other team, after all they made it to the same game. It was very disrespectful how you acted towards the FRA's coach's award. As a side note I am not going to make any negative comments about your players, but I will make a positive one. I have seen a few CPA games this season, and I do have to say Hunter Miller, from my observations, plays with class. He plays the game, he plays his game, and he plays without emotion. Maybe the rest of his team should take notice, you can be a great player without the attitude. Maybe I have that observation wrong, like I said I have only seen CPA play about six times this year. Anyway, Good Luck to the 9AA teams!! And if CPA does win state I will be one of the first to congratulate you on CoachT. Because if you win, you deserved it. But don't forget to shake hands with your opponent before your celebration begins, after all they made it to the same game you did!
