whoever thinks that "coach" slatten is the best coach in the state needs to open their eyes, all he has done is coach talent over the years and underachieved with the talent he did have. well lets put it this way, he is not well liked by anyone at culleoka school, and puts down the boys no matter how well they have done. I completely support the boys and think they have done a wonderful job, but that is just my opinion of "coach" slatten.

what all does cornersville have besides pj and lucas? and do not count culleoka out of the running this year. they only lost one senior and have quite a bit of experience.

UHMMMM yeah getting scholarships is jus alittle bit important if you are serious about softball DUH!!! & those girls arent complaining about havin 2 do everything needed 2 have a team! THEY ARE DOING IT ALL!!! & mabe if they had some1 to help them alittle bit then thay would not of almost not had a team!!!!!!!!! i agree culleoka didnt play as well as they could actually not anywhere close to what they are able to play!!! but they wanted it or atleast there student section did!!! even after the game they kept cheering their boys!! They have one of the best spirt sections that i have ever seen. GOOD LUCK TO THE WARRIORS IN THE SUB STATE.

I'm very proud of those girls because they wanted to have a team bad enough that they got a list of girls up that would be able to play and asked them to play. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR GIRLS. just stick together and you'll be ok this year! CONGRATS on fighting for what you wanted.

ok mario is a great player yes i admit tht but he did not win that game by himself. most of the reason he is so good is because he has other rly goor players rite there with him helpin him stevens, holt, the twins, & willis all played a big part in the win tues nite. i would lik 2 see mario go out there & play by himself & still win. mario is a GREAT player & he has a rly good attitude 2. he doesnt act lik he is the best player & he knows that he could not win all the games by himself, his teammates back him up every step of the way! if it wasnt 4 them tht team wouldnt have gotten as far as they did. & you know willis is a great player & he helps the team so much in games & he doesnt get nearly as much support or credit as he should. so no mario did not win that game 4 cully it was the WHOLE TEAM!

Just heard from a player at Culleoke there WILL be a team this year. The team asked around and got enough girls to play. so yeh they ARE doing something about it!!!

ok rhs.... my best friend goes to cully & there are about 6 girls who rly love softball & rly want a team jus because 2 of the girls quit doesnt mean you need 2 blame it on all the other girls who wanted a team its not their fault so get it rite & quit actin lik you kno all bout this situation cuz you dont. in my opinion yes the coach has alot 2 do with the fact that they dont have a team again this year because lik i said b4 they had 4 HIGHSCHOOL girls try out & yeh they werent the best but they got out there & wanted 2 play but the coach cut them & yes that is part of the reason there isnt a team!!!! & there are 2 8th grade girls who play travel ball & love softball & so i dont see the problem in them comin up & helpin the high school girls have a team this season if they want 2. but there are some girls on that team that LOVE softball & REALLY DO WANNA PLAY &have been cheated out of a team for 2 yrs because the coach doesnt want to have girls on his team tht arent "all star" players, & that is messed up because those girls who love the sport & rly wanna play are havin their chances of playin college ball ripped rite out from under them & yes i kno school ball isnt nearly as important as travel ball but it still helps & YES IF YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SCHOOL YOU GO TO YOU ARE GOING 2 GET RECONIZED BY COLLEGES!!!!! so dont blame the girls who want to play 4 the fact of them not havin a team!!!!!!

yes there were 11 girls that made the team at tryouts with 2 being 8th graders. one girl quit due to personal reasons and yesterday 2 more players quit due to not wanting to play. so that left them with 8 girls. BUT there were 3 or 4 HIGH SCHOOL girls cut at tryouts they maybe weren't the best players in the world but atleast they would have been able to have a team. I dont think it is the players fault because there are more girls wanting to play that are unable to because they were cut at tryouts. I believe that you should at least keep 12 or 13 players so that you have room if people get hurt or in their case quit. And if you are only going to have 4 that get cut, and you only have 11 players then what will it hurt to keep them and teach them to play so that next year you'll have a little bit stronger team. My opinion this year it sounds like the coach doesn't want to put up with haveing a team. If thats the case he needs to tell someone at the begining of the year so they can ask someone else to coach. Atleast have enough respect for the girls so they will be able to play.
