  1. Anybody know how he's doing?
  2. Then 5 days later you pick MC by 1.
  3. Most folks believe what they want to believe regardless of the facts. If your right, I've got the most intelligent body part in history. Nay nay my good neighbor, the research is compiled and the rumors confirmed - this is science void of guess work. The evil blue empire will fall by 18, take it to the bank. Of course the challenge still stands to all who disagree, man up and post your own "out of crack" point spread then we can compare notes on Sunday.
  4. Search the forum for this year and I believe you will find that I've hit every WVMOTW prediction this season. On this very thread we had folks all over the place from the blue by 1 to the red by 61 with one genious picking both teams to win. How do I formulate the red by 18 in the next match you ask? By countless hours of tape review along with inside info rooted out by my crack research team. WV, how do you see an 11 point swing in the exact same match ups you ask? I don't as we won't see the exact same match ups, possibly as many as 8 different ones. Remember though, its not a lock that either of these teams will reach the finals as FR, MBA and CB make this the most balanced D2 duals tourney I can recall. For all you nay sayers, man up with your own predictions in print then on Sunday we can discuss what went wrong.
  5. Hope the powers that be grow this to an 8 team field next year as based on this season's results, Greenback is one of the 4 top teams in A/AA.
  6. Congrats to both teams for providing a memorable evening of battle to all who made it past the fire marshal, as I understand many were turned away. Great post Herm! Every young man who faced the adversity of the environment yet still fought for all he was worth came away a winner and a better young man for it regardless of the match score. While they rabidly cheer their teams on during the contest, the majority of fans shake hands at the conclusion of the festivities also. My wrestling wish would be a similiar rival match for every program in TN as they are truely a special reward for the participants. My apologies to anyone who lost money based on the 1 point forecasting error. Please allow me to help you win your money back. After countless hours of tape review along with inside info concerning additional line up adjustments, if both teams can fight through possibly the most balanced D2 duals tourney ever The Walkenvol Match of the Week forecast is the Red team defeats the evil Blue empire a second time by a spread of 18.
  7. While we all know that the starting weight class is determined by placing 14 pieces of paper representing each weight into a hat and then drawing the lucky winner out. Rumor his it that there will be 14 140 entries with the match ending at 135.
  8. Oh the suspense. What added spice?
  9. Yes, but Bear Cat's team Mom responsibilities got in the way.
  10. Semi's of the Soddy tourney, Hughes 2-0.
  11. They could stagger the D1 and D2 finals instead of wrestling them at the same time. Lots of folks are only interested in the division in which their team competes and would clear out after they finished. This would also allow all those wrestling junkies to see both the finals. Great idea Coach Blair.
  12. Based on this weekend's results, sickness and injury, I'm still in the dark on who will be wrestling which weight classes making it tough to formulate the line. Of course, Johnson/Young is the "match to watch". The Soddy tourney says the Downey/Hughes match has potential also. Anybody got a strong feel for who the Blue will send into battle? How about the Red team? Subject to change but based on my current line up assumptions, the Walkenvol Match of the Week forecast is the Red team defeats the evil Blue empire by 8.
  13. If you're into streaking, I don't think a gut is advantageous? Be careful Bear nation. The Soddy group has gone retro with some antique olympic cut uniforms and tube socks. Appears that they are attempting to regroup with a new attitude. Should be an exciting rematch in Clarksville.
  14. luchador - not sure that I saw that one.
  15. Coach Price - we missed seeing you at the Soddy tourney. Hope there's nothing bad wrong that kept you away.
  16. It apears Grissom has opened a satellite campus in TN. Whos going for Soddy tomorrow, Hammond or Gardner?
  17. Your right as you have the world by the tail. See you soon amorous one.
  18. Bayou or Kdxdude - do you guys know if the varsity is scheduled to start promptly at 7:00 or will there be some JV matches first? Trying to figure out if there is enough time to get there from the Bay/Clev match at 6:00.
  19. Obviously from his mother....the pleasure was all mine. And no BayouBear, we won't get a room.
  20. Without a doubt, BCB is an entertaining and faithful poster. His post typically are on topic and have intellectual merit. But Mr. Wonderful, Soms has 406 posts (albeit none as entertaining as BCB and most not even on topic (see Tornado Duals thread)) since March 15, 2006 under a single screen name and he has had several. Your observations on BCB's most posts appears to be as misguided as those on the Bay/McC match. But alas, you are a young lad and cannot be held accountable for being mislead by the attraction of a lovely lady.
  21. You can check the TSSAA web site, but I believe that Brugal was ill most of his senior season and missed the state tourney. It would have been really interesting with a healthy Brugal thrown into that mix.
  22. After the Central 18 team 3 mat 15 hour (with absolutely no dead time, very well run) experience, I would rather take a beating with your wooded shoe then experience a 20 team encounter on 3 mats. Thank you kind sir, you are a gentleman indeed.
  23. David - Odd that the TSSAA web page has it correct with Crosby over Brugal in 2002 and over Pennington in 2003 (the best high school heavy weight match I ever saw).
