Is this game being broadcasted anywhere?

Good game dubc...I had hoped for a different DC team to show and of course a different outcome, but WC deserved the win as they came to play and was definitely the better team tonight. Good luck in the boro!

Bottom of the 7th - 1 out, runner on 3rd with 2 strikes on the batter. You lay down a bunt with the runner coming home all the way that results in a perfect squeeze play that ties the game and the lead runner becomes the winning run after a base hit. This takes me back to a previous post where a lot of people discussed..."why bunt in unfavorable situations"....well here's your answer. Sometimes you catch breaks and sometimes you make your own. Yea I would say it was an exciting game for sure - great / tough win for Beech coming from behind and great / tough loss for Rossview...great team and just a couple outs shy of advancing over the top projected team in the state.

Most definitely...I think anything can happen in this one with two good teams. Will just have to wait and see who is eating hotdogs and who is eating crow? Just hope to see the SUN soon...have a safe trip down I-40 and good luck to you as well!

I don't think that it is a "Can Dickson beat Beech thing at this point" and it is probably more like the "one game at time" approach from here on out for most teams. I don't know a lot about WC other than they DO have a good record and the only thing that I have really heard about WC is that they have not been able to beat possibly "the best team in the state" as people have stated...and there is no doubt that they probably are and with that, being a # 2 to a team like Beech should speak for itself (but not sure about the other schools in that district). With Dickson, I have only seen them play a handful of times, but follow this district and yes...Rossview is a very solid team and NE can put a good game together and be tough to be beat as well. Early on, I heard they (DC) were having a difficult time "closing" games out...get the early lead and losing it in the late innings....maybe because they are a very young team with only 1 senior. Example...I heard they had Riverdale down 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs....Riverdale scores 5 runs with the two outs and wins 6-4. With this, they have dropped a few games that they probably shouldn't have. But yes, they have played a lot of good competition outside of middle TN and outside of the state. Now and during the latter part of the season, DC seems to be closing games out and playing with a lot of determination...maybe the younger players are growing up fast, maybe it is good leadership from the senior, maybe it is just the fact that they now really want to win and feel like they can? As far as this DC / WC game....it should be a good one as I would think that most games going forward should be. In fact, there's probably a lot of other teams left out there as well as a couple not advancing that could have or potential will make some noise in the state if they catch a few breaks (Not taking anything away from Lawrence Co, but I am still surprised that Lincoln Co's season is over). As far as the hype meter being way too high for Dickson as someone said, I think that is only because probably 90% of the posts these days are related to Wilson Central (or at least that is how it seems to be) and Dickson just happens to be the next team on the schedule for them. Regardless, Dickson has some great girls on this squad and although it would be a huge disappointment for them to end the season tomorrow, they've had a great / successful season and they should be very proud of what they have accomplished with the 30-10 record they have to date. Elimination Game - Clarksville NE led early, but Rossview defeats NE 9-4. Championship Game - Dickson Co wins over Rossview 5-0. Rossview was tough as usual, but Dickson played with a lot of determination tonight and it paid off. Congradulations Dickson with coming out on top during regular season play and for the 10AAA tournament win. Good luck to both Rossview and Dickson as they advance into regional play next week!

Updated schedule for 10AAA: 5:00pm - Rossview & Clarksville NE (Elimination Game) 7:00pm - Dickson Co. plays winner of 1st game for District Title If a 2nd game is needed to determine #1 & #2...I assume the final game will be scheduled for tomorrow accordingly. Good luck to the remaining 3 teams!

In Dickson... Game 1 - Great game tonight between Rossview and Dickson Co. Both teams hit the ball well, both teams played great defense and both teams had tough pitching that got them out of innings with runners in scoring position. It wasn't until the bottom of the 6th when Dickson took the 1-0 lead with a solo homerun. Both teams could have came out on top here...just Dickson's night. Game 2 - In late innings, Clarksville NE leads Clarksville 8-2. If NE holds on to the lead, they will face Rossview tomorrow and the winner will meet up with Dickson in the championship. Schedule and game times TBA...

With the recent weather I would say that most coaches are content with just getting the games in regardless where it is at. There's no telling how many hours has went to field maintenance in the last week...and it is not over. Probably a few local supporters, great parents and a lot of quick dry are to thank out there.

Last night Dickson won over Clarksville 2-0 and that game was followed by a Rossview win over Clarksville NE 2-1. If the weather continues to cooperate...games will pick back up this afternoon (in Dickson) with Rossview and Dickson playing at 6pm and that game will be followed by Clarksville NE and Clarksville which will be an elimination game.
