I could care less what you or anyone else thinks for that matter, however i didnt mean for ppl to assume Swan should get credit for their season. All the girls have stepped up and have come together as a team to do what they need to do. Some of the best offense and especially defense ever!! i was only responding in the matter of their pitching season. There is a reason Floyd puts both girls on the field at the same time...they both are excellent pitchers and hitters and he is smart enough to know they will help their team score runs. McCormick, Keele, Davis, Downs and others have been ripping the ball and that is what takes!!

My mistake, I think I got them mixed up I thought Keele was the short stop in Dickson, I knew she started there last year at Dickson as well. I got my Keele kids mixed up. Are they kin?
Come to think of it one of the times I saw CC play was against Dickson, thats where I got messed up - thanks for setting me straight - your right the pitcher at CC has made a mark on the season and for her high school career.
Both CC pitchers are outstanding and do a great job together in the circle as well as at the plate. The great thing is they will both be back next year!! Go Lady Raiders!!

Creekwood has a solid fielding and slapper Mary Tyson that is a freshman. She has not been outstanding but she has gotten the job done with some upperclassman could not.
Northeast pitcher Deson has had a very successful run from the mound for them and quite frankly is the whole reason they had the run they did.
Soddy has a floating freshman that is strong as well. I am not sure of her name, seen her on the field ask about her then stood in shock as I learned she is only a freshman.
Ravenwood has an impacting freshman at second, in Trainer.
Coffee County number 21 if I am not mistaken that plays 2nd as well is very strong.
Columbia played a freshman at short this year and she had a good half of the year.
Columbia Acacdemy's number 23 is a very strong player that from what I understand also started as an eight grader. I heard a freshman made all district for them I would be shocked if it was not her. She is pretty strong.
GPS well all of their players are great, but the freshman class as a whole made some noise for GPS for sure this year. IF you dont know the players and who to expect where on the field, sometimes you would not know they have their JV on the field playing your varsity team.
Waverly has a freshman courtesy runner (Bohanon) that probaly racked up as many stolen bases as the team combined.
McEwen has a right fileder that made a catch that should have made CNN and each time we have seen them she seems to have the opponent torn up over her latest catch.
Blackman started a freshman behind the plate in VonBroken?? and she had a succesful run there only to be replace by a healed upperclassman. But her bat proved to be instrumental in their success all year as she continued as a battery for them.
CC freshman you are likely referring to would be the freshman pitcher Vincent who is definitly one of the best around. Solid pitching and awesome hitting!! The 2nd baseman Keele is a junior.

So Swann IS your dtr (we thought so!!) Gave yourself away some posts back) CC will be the team to beat and has been for some years. Good Luck to both teams and all of District 7AAA & 8AAA in the future
HA thats funny...what several ppl have said...but just bragging on the CC girls...and ya i am a Swan fan but freshman pitcher is awesome too and one heck of a hitter!

Coffee County has been using 2 pitchers the freshman seems to get the job done better and a heck of a hitter! Both throw a lot of outside pitches. Seems to be CC's "thing".

Freshman pitcher is a great pitcher but the Junior pitcher has gotten them where they are today. The freshman has really stepped up her pitching in the last few games and been able to help our lead pitcher when needed. Swan who is the junior pitcher also plays first base and is one heck of a defensive player who also comes through consistently with the bat. Both pitchers are doing extremely well and have had lots of RBI's and great hits. Best of luck to the lady raiders and congratulations on a great season!!! Next year they will most certainly be hard to beat!!

I hate to be the type of person who told you so but did I not tell you that CC had picked up its game! These are two teams going in two different directions one is going up and one is going down now you pick which one! A great game by the CC girls and now the Mighty Wildkittens must decide when they want to pack up their bags for the year! I may be wrong but i dont think a little drama can account for CC hitting off Jones and scoring runs, playing stand-up defense and just playing great softball...great job ladies from CC and drama from Tull or not, they were just not able to score runs..,.

If you go by stats, i think it would be Shelby Lamb from Shelbyville. i mean how many other girls are hitting over.500? Also she's a sophmore which should mean even more cuz what will she be like as senior??!!!
I don't know..she is a great player but didn't have her best game last night....she was struck out twice by Junior pitcher Lady Raider Kristin Swan last night...awesome pitching and awesome hitting lady raiders!!

If your team was so full of talent then why didn't they win. If they were so good and coffee county has a lack of talent why didn't MJ run rule them or even just score more? Are you telling me that your bracketology theory also prevents opponents from doing their job and beating the other team. Or are you saying that the umps caused your team to not outscore CC in all those innings. Give me a break. Quit whining and accept what it is, that night CC was the better team.

Absolutely no one buys that excuse for a minute...lots of witnesses that saw her intentionally put the trophy down to leave it...second place was just not acceptable...we have tons of trophies at our house from travel ball and are proud of them all...all reflect hard work and although she is an awesome coach and has done alot for MJ's program, this was still a terrible example to set for the girls...Great of the dad and 2 girls that did come back to retrieve it!! And ya i forget my kid sometimes too...so funny!!

I'm not sure where CHS4life is today but I will hook you up with a couple of quick details that has Mt. Juliet so torn up. In the top of the fourth inning with a runner on third and two outs a Mt. Juliet batter hit a pop up into foul territory on the third base side. The runner at third got into the third baseman's way and slowed her down considerably in her attempt to get to the foul ball. Let's make a couple of things clear on this play. CHS' third baseman, Tiffany McCormick, would have gotten to the foul ball easily had the runner at third not gotten in her way. And the runner DID try to get out of the way, but in doing so probably got in her way more and I believe made contact. There was no call. CHS head coach Terry Floyd called time and asked the third base umpire about the call. He then called the home plate umpire over for a conference and it was determined interference should have been called. This upset the folks from Mt. Juliet. It could have been avoided had the umpire made the call originally but he didn't. Kudos, though, for talking to another umpire and getting the call right......And then there was the call at the plate that scored the winning run for Coffee County. Bottom of the sixth in the second tiebreaker inning ... Squeeze play back to the pitcher was thrown home where Shelby Davis for CHS executes a pretty good hook slide. This was a VERY close play and I couldn't tell if the catcher tagged her or not but the call could have went either way. Fortunately for Coffee County it went for the Lady Raiders and unfortunately for Mt. Juliet it went against them...that's the way it goes sometimes. Life is tought that way. And for the Mt. Juliet folks that were screaming home cooking, I guess that is just natural to yell on the road, but I don't recall ever having that home plate umpire at one of our games before. As far as leaving the trohpy is concerned - I'm not a big fan of winning second place trophies either. But at least show a little class and take it home. If you don't want it, throw it away back home. Or put it up at your facility somewhere for bulletin board material for your team. Don't leave it laying in the parking lot...either way it isn't a good message to the Mt. Juliet team from its coach. Thinking before you act is important. The CHS coaching staff, players, parents and boosters didn't do anything wrong. It was the umpires they were so disgusted with. Don't slap the CHS softball community in the face for something that it did not do. A Mt. Juliet parent (I think the booster club president) and a couple of players DID come back after they had heard what happened and apologized to coach Floyd and took the trophy home. So not all bad apples on that side of the stands for sure ...So there you have it ERA.
Hats off to the parent and players who came back for the trophy....now that IS CLASS

I dont know, leaving the second place trophy in the parking lot? I would say simply that she is sending a poor message to her team. A sore loser is a sore loser. Remember in 2004 or 2005 when Clifford Kirk's team lost the championship game in the state tournament and he and his team all refused to shake the winning teams hand? I put both of these situations in the same catagory. Poor sportsmanship.

I'm sure there was a reason why Coach Pedigo left the trophy. She is probably upset because the umpire made a horrible call at homeplate to HAND OVER the win to CC. MJ is a great program, she is an amazing coach, and she will fight to the end for her girls. Her actions weren't "unclassy"-- she made a statement. It really says something when the coaches and players are THANKING the umpires for his "great" call at home. It's ridiculous. That is unclassy. You can say what you want about MJ and Coach Pedigo-- They are great. She is great! Every player that comes out of Mj will tell how great of a coach and person she is. Hand over the win???? That is too funny considering CC kept MJ from scoring in 2 tie breaker innings and beat them with a squeeze and an awesome slide into home...we have all been on this side of a call and the call was a good one!! CC was not "handed" anything. They played hard all weekend with top notch pitching and very hott hitting and defense...dont try and take away their hard work by blaming a call...i am sure you are absolutely correct about Coach Pedigo...she is an awesome coach and it is very obvious in her team but good sportsmanship and attitude goes a long way...maybe this loss is what they needed to show them that because their attitude coming into the game seemed as if they couldnt be beaten....and we all know how softball can be!!!

I was there also and the call in which you are referring to was a good call...CC Lady Raider Shelby Davis slid around the tag at home and it was a clear call....i am sure MJ is not accustomed to getting beat, especially by a "little 8AAA" but there is no excuse for leaving the trophy and acting as they did in the awards ceremony after the game...according to the players, MJ did not congratulate nor show an ounce of good sportsmanship. As for this tournament being "Fixed"...well the Coffee County Classic has always and will always be a class act..if it were fixed, and not for the TALENT of the CC Lady Raiders, then they would win this tourney more often wouldn't they??? Give me a break and teach the kids how to handle loss with class as well as you have taught them to win! I agree that it was a class move for the coach to give CC their home dugout but what happened after the game was ridiculous. Congrats again to you Lady Raiders and best of luck at district tourney!!

Coffee Co. beat Rutledge, Rhea Co., Hendersonville and Mt Juliet to win the tournament. GREAT JOB LADIES!!
Sorry I could not post all the scores from today's action, just broadcasted 5 games in one day.
Semis had CC beating Hendersonville 6-0 and MJ beating Goodpasture 4-2.
Coffee Co. won it on bang bang play at the plate 3-2.
Thanks for all the support from all the players, fans and coaches from all the schools.
Great job lady raiders and lots of class shown hosting the tourney...too bad MJ couldn't show the same class...its a real shame MJ were sore losers....leaving their 2nd place trophy in the parking lot after the tourney....lots of players and fans have been hearing what great players they are but if you have no sportsmanship then you obviously have lots more to learn

Listen, you are only as good as your travel ball programs during the summer. Everyone of these coaches have good travelball programs during the summer. Coach Breeden, I believe, coaches his own travelball team. You are only as good as the athletes that are given to you each year. There's an old saying, you can't squeeze blood from a turnip. Coffee county and Columbia are not as good as in years past. Why, did their coaches forget how to coach? They just don't have the talent as they have in the past.
Excuse me??? Don't have the talent??? Tell CC fans and players that after taking 1st in the tournament this weekend...lets see...who all did the lady raiders beat????? Rutledge, Baylor, Marion Co..oh and lets not forget Hendersonville and Mount Juliet in the Championship game!!! I will also remind you that this team has only 2 seniors and the starting pitcher is a Junior who is averaging 8 or so strike outs per game...no talent you say??? Obviously you have not been watching these girls!!!!!!

If I were Shelbyville, I'd worry about getting by Coffee Co. not once but twice before I started planning the playoffs. If CC plays as tough as they did last night, it just may take more than a lucky swat or bobbled ball to win those games. Right now I can see it coming down to the final 2 reg. season games before anyone can claim any fame. Of course it still depends on who wins or loses. Should make the next 2 weeks interesting. Good luck to all.
You are right, should be interesting. Great pitching all year but the bats have to stay hot and have to stop making the silly blooper errors....lots of girls on the bench who can catch fly balls

Columbia vs. Coffee County---lets get this pick out of the way early! Big game by both teams! Kinzer should have a good game against the CC girls today but will need help from Floyd, Lockridge and Penrod to help score runs! I am not sure that CC has the confidence to win this game! Loser is CC
Lawrence County vs. Collinwood---Well can a little school that is known as the Green Machine beat up on the bigger Lawrence County? The answer is NO Loser is Collinwood!
Siegel vs. Cookeville---Wow did the Ladies from Siegel sure let me down against Oakland! But again we it is a new day and the Ladies from Putman County is not having a great year this year??¦I do no that Siegel is very young and when you are young you have growing pains but I still have faith in Siegel to do better today. Loser is Cookeville in a big district game for both teams!
Forrest vs. Lincoln County---Forrest has only 347 students and Lincoln County only has 1,523 students (this is by the TSSAA count). There should be no doubt that the BIG AAA School should walk all over this little Rocket School from Chapel Hill. Well it ain??™t going to happen today! Loser is the Football School who has the best looking softball field in the state and the school that makes great sandwiches is! Loser Lincoln County again!
Tullahoma vs. Franklin County--- Again Franklin County is playing a team that is going to keep them from moving up in the standings. Jones will be to tough today and FC will try to figure out a way to avoid finishing last in the district with the football school. Loser is FC again!
Friendship Christian vs. Mt. Juliet Christian---this would be a great game if we could take and play MJ instead of MJC! But this will be over pretty quick and you will have time to shopping or take you wife out to supper because MJC will be the Loser in a very big way!
Greenbrier vs. Portland----Portland has a great football history and they do an excellent job every Friday night in the fall, but we are playing in the spring and the ball is a little more rounded that the other ball. I see know way in Portland ever beating the Ladies from Greenbrier this year! Loser again in softball is Portland!
Riverdale vs. Hendersonville---Well the mighty Warriors sure let MrNoitAll down yesterday with losing to the Lady Hawks from Clarksville! It took Riverdale until the 7th to score a single run against Elrod but that will not be the problem today as Hendersonville is letting a lot of people score runs against them! Loser is Hendersonville!
Rossview vs. Clarksville NE--well again the Lady Hawks surprise a lot of people in the Mid State as well as the state by shutting down the Mighty Warriors from Riverdale by a score of 4-1. The Ladies will continue their winning streak in district and will beat a much improved NE squad. Loser is NE!
Macon County vs. Livingston Academy---very important district game for Macon County today against Livingston Academy! To stay in the hunt with DeKalb County they must defeat LA and I do not mean California! They are playing great ball and I see know way LA can beat this young ladies today. Loser is Livingston Academy!
Monterey vs. Clarkrange----The Ladies from Fentress County have only been playing with the little ball for a few years and the Ladies from Monterey have been to the state. Now if we were playing with the big ball (BB) no doubt that Clarkrange would win but we are not! Loser is Clarkrange!
Clay County vs. Red Boiling Springs----Wow what a game this is today! This may be covered by ESPN! But in class it is not MrNoitAll wants to share with the rest of the world who will be the loser-----No we are not playing football and then you would say RBS right? Well it does not matter because the loser today is RBS!
Blackman vs. White County---Maybe the Ladies from Blackman can get back on the winning ways today against the Ladies from Sparta! They had a very tough game against Riverdale and they lost like MrNoitAll said that they would and then they won against Warren County like MrNoitAll said that they would! So I am picking them 100% right every time! So the Loser is White County!
Mt. Juliet vs. Beech----I am sure the crowd will be very small tonight when these two average teams play each other! Well maybe not average but maybe the two best teams in the Mid-State! With Morris and the power that MJ brings to the plate would scare me if I had to pitch against them. When these two teams get together it is always a great game and tonight will not be any different! But again we must have a Loser and of course it will be the Beech girls this time! But we could see an upset??¦but I do not see it in my crystal ball! Loser is Beech!
Dickson County vs. Springfield----A good team who is playing a team that is trying to get better but they are playing the wrong team tonight to get better. Loser is Springfield!
Ezell-Harding vs. MLK---well the Lady Eagles did not have much fun yesterday against a good Davidson Academy team losing by a score of 8-4 but I can not see them ever losing to the Ladies from MLK! Loser is Martin Luther King in a quick game!
Forrest vs. Hendersonville---well the Rockets will face another school that has only 1,275 more students than Chapel Hill??¦.I am not sure that Chapel Hill has 1,275 living in the town! But the powerful A team will beat the big boys today. Loser is Hendersonville!!
Hume-Fogg vs. Pearl Cohn---if we were playing football no doubt who would win because HF does not have a football team! But they are playing softball and it will not be a pretty site! Loser again and again is Pearl Cohn!
David Lipscomb vs. East Literature---looks like the Ladies from Granny White Pike are having some pitching problems but it will not matter today because Lipscomb will win because of the hitters are pretty good! Plus it does not look like all of the parents are having fun!! Loser is East Literature!
Cornersville vs. Culleoka---another big game that ESPN may be at tonight! But if they are not of course MrNoitAll will be there! Loser is Culleoka!
Waverly vs. Fairview----if the Waverly wants to have any chance to catching Coach Jackson team they had better win and win and win! But I do not see Fairview stopping them tonight! Loser is Fairview!!
Summertown vs. Huntland------Summertown will continue their winning ways today and tomorrow and the rest of the season! They just do not want any of Forrest! Loser is Huntland!!

It is mighty scary that you are a teacher and yes you are one to talk about someones spelling...you need to go back to english class...you have been outed MRNONOTHING and you are to smart for your own good...you think you are fooling everyone...we know who you are and thank goodness you are NOT teaching our kids at CC or in Tullahoma!! By the way....does your boss know you continue to put down the surrounding teams/coaches/and kids the way you do?? Just curious

Hang in there Lucky. The girls and familys love what you do for us all, and we appreciate it. People don't know all of what is going on if your life but you have a lot of friends that wish you and yours nothing but the best.
You are absolutely right JV!! I couldn't agree more. Lucky is a great man with a big heart and the girls adore him. His broadcasts are always great to listen to when i am at the game or unable to attend because of work...we are so lucky to have him in Manchester!! We love you Lucky and wish you all the best and keep it coming from the "Knott house".......Go CC Lady Raiders!!!!

No Lucky... perish the thought of this guy being from anywhere in Coffee County...would give Manchester and Tullahoma a bad name....fans from both are too good for him! Just ignore his stupidity. Well, he claims to be a former OVC football player and has represented himself as a current softball coach. If both of these are true (which I doubt) then figuring out who he is, shouldn't be too tough.
I could really care less who he is because his head is definitely too large for me. All I know is that he doesn't care about the girls...

Please do not continue to insult our hardworking kids with your degrading remarks...could you do any better? I sincerely doubt it...some of the young players are making errors that are costing us and leaving base runners stranded time and time again is not helping our cause...this is not necessarily always the players' fault....just keep your opinions to yourself....not many listen to you anyway...i'm finished listening to you

Good point..Swan led her team as a Junior, with the help of Vincent, to an 18 game winning streak taking the District and the Region Championship...awesome pitching from these girls and awesome leadership and teamwork...expect big things from these girls this year:) GO LADY RAIDERS
