No. Farragut is a nationally ranked team, Tommy Pharr is not. You may very well be correct that the talent will stay @ Farragut and not go down the street to CAK. However there are a few things that everyone must understand: Farragut is getting their talent from all over Knox County due to "open zoning" that allows students from one area of town to attend school in another area of town. Tommy Pharr knows how to build a program and get athletes to attend his school and play for his teams. Tommy has built relationships all over the East Tennessee area and for someone to think that those contacts will not continue to send him talent is crazy. It may be easier now because families don't have to live in Knox County to attend CAK. Like him or not Tommy Pharr has built a nationaly ranked program and he will probably do it again. I did read all your posts......how do you know he was throwing 82-82 in the spring, did you gun him....no you did not, you guessed he was throwing 82-83 and you were wrong then just as you are now.......... Coffee Co is no longer in District 8AAA. Not sure where they play now. As for predictions & top players, I'll leave that for others, for now.

RIGHT ON THE MONEY Columbiaguy. I and most support Central coaches 100%. Some would rather deal in half truths or "What I Heard". Columbia is becoming a "feel good, make my Lil Johnny happy" baseball town at the lower levels,and it's beginning to arrive at the High School level. Quality WILL suffer in the near future.

A parent that alows ANY COACH, Travel,High School... etc to throw their son 150 pitches should be beat. Period

This always amazes me. For the parents of kids who make TCBA,the process is fine. And those that don't it's "Political." Great message to send your child. If if it's not given to you, blame others. I watched the Showcase tryout in Cookeville and can tell you there were about 40 kids trying out. Of those 40 there were IMO, about 32-35 who had a chance or deserved to be selected. Allot of talent vying for I'm guessing 15-20 spots. No matter how you select the players someone is always going to feel they or their child should have made the team. What's the solution?, I surely don't have the answer. But all the "Conspiracy Theories" never change year after year. My guess they never will. Guess that's why CoachT is in business. I'm quite sure there are kids & parents who made the TBCA Showcase and didn't make the Sunbelt roster that feel cheated. My advice, deal with your disappointment and keep moving foward. Your day will come.

I know a boy from White House (Sr) who was there. If you were in cookeville, he was the big catcher who hit a ball out above the lights at 406 ft. WOW

If it's for Jr & Sr only, wouldn't that have a direct effect on the # of players invited from any given school? So what's the beef for # of players from the coaches school? Surely, coaches from Shelbyville didn't "invite" Riverdale,Blackman or White House players right?

I don't understand. Why would they(coaches) not want the best players to be seen? Are there age restrictions? Isn't it 9th-12th grade? Who selects what players try out? Opened for all itsn't it? Please enlighten me.
