  1. Sycamore is home, but I predict Sycamore winning this one also. CW is tough, but just not good enough. Obviously Sycamore got caught looking ahead to CW and overlooking Harpeth. Especially since they saved the best pitcher in the district for them. If anyone wants to argue that then you are sadly mistaken. Without this kid Quillen they don't beat Wavo, Central, or Creekwood. So argue if you want. Sycamore is undefeated at home this year. And usually always tough at home. We shall see. I will be making the big drive from Clarksville to catch this game. Can't wait And what momentum are you speaking of? The fact that they swept Fairview and Sycamore split with Harpeth? I hope thats not it. And the momentum would be on Sycamore's side if anything. 10-1 in the district, already beat CW at CW. CW hasn't beat them since 07. Just wondering..
  2. I understand what you are saying. Pretty sure Sycamore had 3 sophomores and a freshmeat out there last night. As do they every night. I could be wrong. But I think wheeler, binkley, and rose are sophomores and gentry is fresh. If they pitch quillen tonight they would not be very smart. Better save him for the wood.
  3. Can't do much about that then, Fairview sorry guys. But you can still hold runners. But I guess it's bad to assume on my part..
  4. Wow congrats Creek Wood!! Great win there. Ever heard of holding runners?? Bunting into outs, running into outs? You can control 22 runs. Nonetheless, a win is a win. Creek Wood v Sycamore this week right????
  5. Yeah i actually went tonight to the game instead of going to Central v Cheatham. Only two players scored that reached base on strike 3. We'll say Sycamore should have won 8-0 (if sycamore would have stopped ripping Foriest late). Harpeth was not very stong, but probably haven't seen a team as strong as Sycamore thus far. Sycamore was the far better team. Quillen didn't even take the hill tonight. Definitely would have been a no hitter if he had gone. 10k's for the Harpeth slinger. 7 for Hunter. 6 or 7 hits for Sycamore and 1 for Harpeth. The way I see it, Sycamore run-ruled Harpeth's best, and they couldn't handle Sycamore's two. Lets just see if Sycamore blows it once again.
  6. Clearly cheathamfan is not a "Cheatham Fan". Probably some Harpeth fan trying to post bulletin board material for harpeth. This guy can't be serious. An 8th grader from any teams feeding middle school would beat cheatham. Except Fairview of course. Who got suspended from harpeth this week? This can't be a good sign with Harpeth v Sycamore coming up monday and tuesday And harpeth's ace would probably throw 21 k's against you guys. But thank the good lord above that they wouldn't waste their time doing that.
  7. I can't be more proud of my Montgomery Central Indians last night. We got beat by the best team in this area. Alec pitched one heck of a game. Sycamore still prevailed though because they were the better team. I counted 12 K's from Alec last night. However, Carrigan and Quillen got some clutch hits in the 7th (like always) to regain the lead. It was a complete honor to be in attendance of last nights game. Good Luck to Sycamore the rest of the year, and we will be fine Central. Heads up fellas!!
  8. SHS5.0, I just heard from my friend what happened in Pleasant View tonight. Congrats to Sycamore. Also in tonights action, what about my Montgomery Central Indians!! Took advantage of some Creek Wood errors and soared to the 9-1 victory. Mills pitched great as well tonight. I think the final count was 6 k's and giving up 3 hits. Wonderful day to be an Indian. Long season though. We have to stay focused. Creek wood will be fine though, they are coached to well and have to many hard nosed kids to give up this early. Scrapy team that will be fine down the stretch. Good Luck to every one tomorrow.
  9. Who cares about that stuff anyways? Lets talk about how everyone is doing!! How did Sycamore do in that tourney at Springfield. I haven't talked to my friend yet. I will be out at the Montgomery Central Tourney today watching all the teams playing. How has everyone else done this week? Creek Wood?, Waverly, etc.
  10. Montgomery Central was playing Sycamore by a wave of favor for our Indians. Sycamore agreed to play us since we were needing a game. It would have counted as a regular non district game.
  11. I know Montgomery Central plays at Sycamore tomorrow night at 5. I am not real sure why this is happening, but I would love to know? I am making the trip since my indians will be in attendance, but why are they playing. I just got word from my friend at Sycamore. Does anyone have any idea about what I am talking about? I was told that Hunters Lane couldn't beat any district 11aa team, not even cheatham. So don't get to excited War Eagle fans.
  12. I don't recall seeing him against Mont. Central, but I might have.
  13. Surprise people in the sense of production. But no one will be surprised about Pieratt. He is solid.
  14. And here are my picks from a while ago.. I stand corrected. It is for entertainment purposes only. 1. Sycamore (Too many arms and 5 maybe 6 returning starters/big senior class) 2. Waverly (Maybe the honeymoon remains with Purcell, I dang sure won't pick against him, but he cant beat Sycamore twice) 3. Fairview (here's my dark horse, they made a run in the tourney last year, lets see if it carries over) 4. Creek Wood (Very easily could win the district, and they are my prediction to win the tourney) 5. Montgomery Central (I would love to put us higher but I can't, but we are better than Harpeth) 6. Harpeth (Weird team to me, I really think they could shock 11AA this year, if not this year then next for sure) 7) Stewart County (Sorry Pieratt you cant pitch and play 8 other positions, should have came to Central) 8) Cheatham (Duh, a football coach now? C'mon Cheatham. No, in all seriousness Finely is a fine young man and will teach them alot. I am pulling for him!! This is word for word what I put. Except I actually spelled Creek Wood right this time. If I would change anything it would be putting Creek Wood at 3rd. But, as it says beside their name. They WILL win the tourney. Where is the Creek Wood game today? If it is at Clarksville I might come out.
  15. I might of been a little harsh, and for that I apologize. I do know that this is an opinion forum/website about baseball. I also apologize for criticizing people when they do not agree with me. I do know however that bringing up basketball games are completely irrelevant to this thread, and I wouldn't waste my breath asking my friend about it. Your son must play basketball, too. This should be easy to narrow down. This is why your opinion can't be taken seriously because you are so bias KS. Coach, I did not mean to offend you or your team. IMO, Creek Wood is the best Coached team in this district, and I mean no disrespect. Now on a lighter note, I made it to the Clarksville v Sycamore Game tonight. They tied 1-1 in 7 innings. What a wonderful game to watch. That was baseball. Pitchers pitched, fielders fielded, batters hit (a little). Little errors on defense, poor bunting (by Sycamore, having two sac bunts end in two pop ups, and one ended in a double play), great pitching by both teams. Clarksville has a lefty that looks pretty good. Sycamore's first two pitchers Quillen and Hunter looked untouchable in their outings. Shutting down a power house like Clarksville high for 7 innings is making a statement, and I believe they did just that. Sycamore outhit them 5 to 2 I think. Good luck to Creek Wood and Sycamore tomorrow night as they play two Clarksville schools.
  16. KS I don't know where you get your information, but how can you say Creek Wood has the most arms returning? Do you realize that Waverly Central returns their number 1,2,AND,3 pitchers from last year. And last I checked they won the District Tourney. Creek Wood is returning their 3 of their top 5 pitchers and last I checked they were 1 and done in the tourney (or 2 and done at most). Sycamore is returning 4 of their top 5 pitchers from last year, and last I checked they ran through this district in the regular season and finished 2nd in the tourney after choking. So your little Harpeth and Creek Wood "homer" rants are getting tiresome to read. Creek Wood's pitchers last year got ran through. Now as I said before I expect Creek Wood to be a solid team, but don't get on here saying they have the best arms in the district when those arms earned them a 6th place finish last year. Please do some research on this district and then come talk to the people who try and show little bias opinions on this forum. I understand you are probably a proud parent of a Harpeth player (or former player), but please spare us. I am a proud supporter of Montgomery Central, but you don't see me on this forum talking them up when everyone knows they are down. Same way with Harpeth, and Creek Wood is back, but have not earned the right to be titled the "best arms in the district." I am going out to the Sycamore-Clarksville High Scrimmage in about 3 hours, so I will evaluate them and get back on here tonight.
  17. I can't argue with that prediction. Waverly and Sycamore are the top dogs right now. I still would give the edge to Sycamore, but Purcell is the real deal. My friend has invited me to Sycamore vs. Clarksville High at Sycamore today, and Sycamore vs. Clarksville Academy tomorrow. I am not sure if I will make it today, but I will tomorrow. If I do make it today I will have updates on both. Nice info on FairView. Is that where you are from BallBasher
  18. This coming from my parent source at Sycamore: Sycamore played Northeast last week sometime and looked "rusty". They couldn't throw strikes from what I was told. They hit well, Quillen hit a homerun, and Carrigan just about left the yard from what I was told. They got beat 14-4 but was only out hit 7-6. So they are fixable is what my friend tells me. If anyone would like to add to this feel free. Please any one from these other teams speak up and let us know how you look this year. We are all curious supporters of this district.
  19. From what I understand not much. They were young last year from what I remember from watching the District Tournament.
  20. How do either of them look this year, if you have heard?? My updates on Sycamore have slimmed down but I should have some this week. Central is looking rough as much as I hate to say it. Y-O-U-N-G is all I can say. What about Waverly? What about Fairview
  21. is this the district that 11aa plays every year for regions?
  22. What district does 11AA play this year for regions?
  23. Okay, and back to baseball. And not TSSAA's jacked up system
  24. I have never heard of him, but that is why I joined this website. What position does he play?
  25. Good info.. District 11AA is a small town kind of district, but produces a lot of Junior College talent. Also even some D-1 AA talent as well.
