  1. There is definitely history and just to set the record straight the coach didn't allow all of his varsity starters to bat. Some don't ever get a chance to bat and some don't even get on the field and these are seniors. I mean hey, if you are a senior you should get your chance, right? You've paid your dues, you've waited for your time to come, you've done all of the fundraising, and your parents have transported you and your teammates all over the district. One would think if you are "good" enough to make the team as a senior, then you should be playing right? They didn't even have to try out to be on the team, they were all "so good". What kind of message does this coach send to his players? Sounds like he pits them against each othere before they even get started. But I guess when you are winning and beating teams by 19 you can do whatever you want at all cost. It really doesn't matter what kind of life lessons he is teaching these young ladies, the most important thing is that we win. After all everyone knows he runs a good program.
  2. Looks like the CC fans don't know about modesty or tact! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Maybe they can mix that up in a paint can and sell it at their next game.
  3. What exactly is your definition of a "good program"?
  4. The post was made in poor taste and did not warrant starting a new thread. TACKY! But why should we expect anything less /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  5. You must be hanging out in the paint store. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Good post. There as been several upperclassmen show leadership on this team. The girls are playing well together. Good luck lady raiders! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  7. The freshman pitcher must be your DD!
  8. Good Luck to Coach Price and to the inaugural season for the Eagles /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. Sorry Indian, didn't mean to step on any toes. Just stating an opinion. Same problem, different season. CC is just not a good hitting team. Big joe you are correct Saturday's game against Columbia did not count as a district loss, however when you get another loss against someone in your district it just adds pressure to your team, especially when district play comes around. All I am saying is, it was not good to loose to someone in your district. CC needs to win tomorrow night.
  10. You are right MrNoitAll. They have not beaten anyone with a winning record except Obion Co. In addition they lost to Columbia again with Columbia's freshman pitcher. This could be bad for the lady raiders. Confidence is what it takes to win and I'm not sure they have it. Not to mention they are struggling at the plate. How long can the coach keep sending players to the plate with batting averages below 100. Sounds like he might need to hire the radio announcer to conduct bp.
  11. CC is coming off another district loss against Columbia. They are 2-3 in district play. Can they beat Shelbyville?
  12. As you said in an earlier post, I don't think you are evaluating apples to apples. Coffee County is not Soddy Daisy nor is Floyd anywhere near Coach Kirk. Possibly the reason Soddy is so successful could be because they have played fastpitch softball for about 30 years not to mention Coach Kirk coaches the middle school team during their fall season. Those girls are learning his program three years earlier than CC players.
  13. Coach Price will be successful. He has strong work ethics and great assistants.
  14. I don't think Louie is a current softball parent, but possibly a previous. Regardless, it sounds as though they may have some first hand knowledge of the program. Not everyone has a hidden agenda. Don't be so quick to judge. As you said there is always more to the story and maybe Louie has alot to tell. As far as the hitting center, I think Scotty Hansert was instrumental in getting that facility built along with many other community members. I don't think Coach Floyd did it alone.
