  1. This past friday I watched my daughter pitched her last high school game, I watched her warm up with her catcher and bestfriend (Brittney Toney), I watched the entire team laugh and talk and cut up together, this year these girls had a mess with one, you mess with all mentality. They never panicked or stressed, always calm under pressure. They endured somethings this year Ive never seen, adults in the stands cussing @ our kids, screaming "Hit the ball back @ the pitcher and take her head off", people constantly doubting your ability and talent, hoping for your team demise. No one wanted to give you credit ladies and coaches, but instead of causing dissapointment it gave yall inspiration, it was almost like a secret how good you ladies were but people seen you play but they couldnt see the heart of the team like we could, your team heart beat loud and strong, and it had only one sound even though several girls made it beat. I am proud that my daughter Cheyanne Knepper had the opportunity to play with you ladies and coaches this year. The word "team" is mentioned a lot in athletics but this year that word is something that I could emotionally feel, Thank you Goodpasture Softball Girls, coaches, and parents for making this year a memorable year. Cassandra Knepper
  2. 3. I thought it was time , only game that was guaranted 7 innings was the championship game and the rest were hour and ten or maybe fifteen.
  4. You Go Girl!!!!!! Tim,Chey and myself are very proud of you Nina. I know your dad is about to bust with joy and pride in his princess and he should be.
  5. I dont think it came from the coaching staff because at the end of the year, during the summer a book is compiled of each girls stats, and I see Cheyanne's 33-3-1 and two of the losses came at state to unicoi and the 1st at the Nike Gulf Shores tournament 1 to 0, and there was a tie gamed during tournament play at Soddy Daisy and that was 0 to 0. Her ERA is 0.44 and she had 21 shut outs . I try to keep her stats as well. I am sure Cheyanne is not the only one with incorrect stats
  6. Where did the official stats come from because Cheyanne Knepper was 33-3-1 and her ERA was 0.44, 21 shut outs
  7. There has been a mistake on scoreboard GP lost 3 games this season 2 in Al. Tourney and 1 to Trinity in the Sonic Tourney. The following games were never played Livingston Acd on 04/18/09, JP II 04/16/09, Station Camp 04/24/09 did not take place. Please correct.
  8. Actually it was 5 to 3. Beech Scored 1run in the 1st 4innings,they scored another 1 in 6th, Goodpasture scored 3 runs, Beech scored 3 last inning. It was a good game, Both sides played well and all the pitchers and players for both side got to play /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  9. I thought everybody knew I was Big momma (even back when I was not so big, but now the name fits like a glove), Yeah you got jokes, I dont see that move but I love yall anyway. Chey is pretty excited about the season starting but you know her daddy is about to burst with joy about softball season starting, It does not matter if it's high school or travel he is ready (If he is hype then you know I am about to loose my mind) Miss yall, but we will see you soon. Gives hugs to the family /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  10. Tiffany Hibbs, senior and primary catcher of Goodpasture is amazing to watch. She is a pitcher's dream and has a great eye and mind for the game. Any college would be lucky to have her behind the plate. I like to call her Kodak cause she can frame a pitch. She shares knowledge and tries to help other catchers be their best. Hibbs is about team. I'm glad someone started this thread because without a a good catcher a great pitcher may look awful, but a great catcher can make a awful pitcher look like a superstar. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  11. I agree please shut it down. Most of our kids have played competitive softball for years but this sport is dirfferent from all the others my daughter has played (Roller Hockey, Soccer, Basketball) it seems that there is a great deal of mean spirited from fans and parents. My daughter calls them HATERS, she also believes you gonna be doing something right for them to continue to talk (especially pitchers). I on the other hand being a pretty sappy person I believe it's kind of sad that we cant keep the comments to pertain to the game on the field and no where else. No matter how big or tall they are, remeber they are young people and we all need to keep that in mind when we respond to these topics

    GOODPASTURE

They said the same whenPieroni left but Devon stepped up and made it hers and whoever follows will have to do the same.
  13. Where did the time go, I can remeber 10 under travel ball when all the girls had pony tails or braids, and they dads were much more focus than the girls were most of the time. I can't believe that we only have them for a few more seasons. Coffee County you will do great and to all my travel ball babies Big Momma will always cheer for you no matter if you playing with or against my teams. Good Luck Girls /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  14. I am so excited about this coming season a lot these girls that are pitchers and other positions I have watched grow up and play the game during travel ball for about 7 years and they are really sucessful on that high level of competition, it will be amazing to watch them assume starting positions for their high schools teams. For those that do not attend travel ball tourneys I think you will be quite please to see the level of play this season /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  15. I dont have a son that plays baseball but I have only one child and she is a softball pitcher in the 10th grade, My family, inlaws and mother have teased my husband about life after she goes off to college (God's will). He formerly a high school base ball pitcher and out fielder has poured his world and life into one little girl, from pitching lessons, constant pratices 3 days a week sitting on the bucket catching, coaching on every travel ball team she plays on, it's coming. The time is coming when she has to step up and away and persue this dreams while we watch from the stands. To all the Dads for the lessons and the pratices and the constant encouragement THANK YOU!!!!! When your boys excuse me young men cross that graduation stage take pride not only in the game you taught them but the men you have helped mold while playing the game. I guess I am being a silly mom and wife but my heart already aches and I have 2 years and 1 semester. GO DADS EVERYWHERE # 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Taylor Deason - Northeast Cassie Vincent - Coffee County Shelese Arnold Cheyanne Knepper - Goodpasture
  17. Yes we will agree to disagree, I know most players have aspirations of playing on a college level but not all, my comments were not to promote but to advise that every young woman that puts on a school jersey may not have aspiration of playing on a college level but none the less, those that have GPA of 3.8 and above that choose to be doctors, lawyers and accounts after high school school does not mean that their efforts even as freshman should never and I do mean never thought of as pointless to mention. Sometimes it just about pride in are young woman not college scouts
  18. I disagree, this is not a pointless thread (topic), the 2 pitchers mention Vincent of Coffee Co. and Deason of Northeast are outstanding pitchers even now, they are striking out veteran upper classmen including seniors, and not just weak teams. My daughter is a pitcher and has played on the same teams with these ladies and against these ladies and please understand they have a tremedous drive to win. Vincent work ethic and dedication to her craft would make any pitcher's dad proud. Deason you better bring a lunch because that child is a fighter and has a never die attitude. What you have seen of these ladies this season is nothing compared to what's to come. Better scout now because it might be too late the 2009 season
