    the time keeper was running seconds off the clock when tullahoma had the ball too

     

    i agree the time was kept very badly threw out the whole game but thats in all high school games

     

    tullahoma won because they had the balls to go for two in overtime

    Columbia gift rapped this one for the Wildcats. The coaches son drops a touchdown pass that would have won the game. The Tullahoma coaches deserve some credit for that gutsy fake ex point. Great game to watch last night. Both teams played hard and should be proud.

     

     

    NCS -- Dont act like Columbia gave Tullahoma this game. You must have forgot about the whistle that was blown in the first half that cost Tullahoma a touchdown. Such a good play the refs thought the running back had the ball but all along the QB had it on a sweep. Would have been 20-0 instead of 13-0 at the half. Give credit where credit is due.....Two great teams that played a great game that came down to the last play of the game. High School Football at it's best. :thumb:

    Just wanted to say THANKS for the outstanding job you guys do for high school sports in Tennessee. The last few days of downtime were difficult for lots of folks (myself included), but that is a compliment to you for providing a resource that is our first - and many times, only - stop for information on the teams we love and love to hate. Now the boards are back and better than ever! It was definitely worth the wait.

     

    So thanks again for this site - the boards, schedules, photos, standings, all of it. You guys make it fun to be a fan.

    In Middle TN I hear the Athletics have lost some good talent from the fall. Maybe not as good now. TN Eagles may be on the rise but mainly all 15 year olds. Cruisers always pretty good but again mainly 15s.

     

     

    You are correct. Lost a couple of good players but they have already been replaced with some quality players. Will still be in the hunt. Its almost time, can't wait.

    Wow never seen a bracket where the winner of game 1, then play Sat. and if they should lose that game play Monday at 5:00 before the loser of game 1 even plays there 2nd game. Winner of game 1 could be out of tournament before the loser plays there 2nd game. Something not right about that !!!! :roflol:

    Lawrence County has a good team,although I'm completely baffled by their lone loss.(2-1 to a 2-9-1 Tullahoma squad at home?)

     

    You are not the only one baffled by that loss,Law co ladies are a good team ! i believe them ladies can pull it together if they can get a little support from the men in charge !!

     

     

    Guys don't be baffled by the loss. Yes we are a very young team with only 3 seniors. Think you guys come into the game after a 17 run win the night before and felt like it should be another easy win. We are young with a sophmore and a freshman pitcher. But what we do have is a good defence and as it was that night we played a error free game with a freshman pitcher. Yes you do have a good team but as we know, never take any team lightly. Our district losses are 5 to 4, 2 to 1, 3 to 2 and 5 to 2. Not bad for a young team. There is still a lot of great softball yet to be played. Good luck to all.......... :thumb:

    A struggling Tullahoma team beat the #4 team in the rankings 2-1. I'm sure that was a shock to everyone, especiallly Lawrence Co.

     

    I have learned from this weekend that most people reading this post would say "who is Lawrence County?"

     

     

    Looks from this weekend that most people know who Lawrence County is now.... :twisted:

    Who made you the God of softball who thinks it's ok to post such rude things about YOUNG girls who are playing the game because they love it. Maybe you need to take a step back and realize that not every team is a Beech, Goodpasture, or any other team you put on a pedestal. Shame on you for posting something these girls and their coaches read because they put their sweat and tears into a game they LOVE. What even makes you wake up and think in the morning "hey I'm going to write something and post it that lets people see really how heartless and how much of a moron I really am." Shame on you because the "Losers" are the one who actually enjoy the game because they don't have parents or fans like you sitting there critiquing every move they make. You are the true LOSER sitting behind your computer typing things you know nothing about. You do not know these teams and what they have been through or what they are going through. SHAME ON YOU for thinking you are doing something good by writing what you did. I hope Karma finds you and makes you realize who the true loser of the mid-state is---YOU!

     

    To the so called LOSERS IN THE MID-STATE, keep rockin! Softball is not all about being the best at some schools. At some schools, playing softball is fun and the girls actually learn things about themselves and about life. Softball is a game of passion and not about how many wins you have. Softball is about the memories you make with the people you play with. Cheers to the TRUE winners in the Mid-State who actually view the game of softball as Fun and Exciting! Don't let people like this IDIOT get you down, because he is the true LOSER of the YEAR!!

     

     

    Dear Newbie and TBALLEXPERT

     

    First I would like to thank you TBALLEXPERT for your kind comments for this "Newbie" on softball! I guess I have one question for her and that is why in the world do we have a score board at these games?

     

    Now I have heard this down at the park that it was to put up to show how many runs a team scores or does not score. Then at the end of the game you look at the scoreboard and see which side has the most runs and we call them the winners and the team with the least runs are called losers. Now years ago some fat cat by the name of Doubleday came up with the scoring system to find out who the losers were and he thought it was a great idea to try and score more runs than the other team.....crazy for some but that is the way he came up with the rules so "Newbie" you now know that the team with the least runs are called LOSERS. The way I see it your princess team must be in the top ten, so if I had a youngin playin I would try and move her or you may be goin to scare her for life......bein on a losin team. If you know what I mean! :thumb:

  21. District 8AAA - How will it play out?

    Watched Lincoln Co. this weekend and they looked fairly good. Didn't hurt themselves on defence and was putting the bat on the ball in the game I watched. I think 2nd place in District 8 will be wide open this year with the new district. But who knows on any given day a team can beat any given team. Will be a interesting year in District 8 this year.
