where in the world are you from? geography? baylor is as east as you can get....as in chattanooga. baylor just won the d2 EAST district championship...won d2 state championship....representing the east last year not the middle.

I am pretty sure that this is a joke....please tell me it is. I wondered what all of the premier teams in Tennessee that played in the Bearden tourney was thinking. I know it was a couple of days of non stop rain and that could not be helped. But it was complete mud and again no grass. Again I think this is a joke.

You know most players would not do this but I am sure that coaches will be reminding their players of this type of situation and what it can do to a team. This player's poor decision after being warned by a ref could have cost his team 2 games.....and having to travel to Memphis to play CBHS. I am sure he wishes he could have taken that moment back.

congratulations Baylor on winning the east district. I am not surprised by the outcome. you guys play hard as a team and are strong in all aspects of the game. good luck to you in regions and state.

i would have to agree that baylor's defense shut us down in the 2nd half. their offense poured it on in the 2nd but we survived to come back to baylor next week. and you are right our goalie saved our hides.

Wow...intense game. Webb survived an onslaught of Baylor shots. Some were off and our goalie saved us for sure on some hard shots. We turn around and come back to Baylor next Tuesday for round 2 since they are 2nd seed. Really wanted to play at home but Baylor have a beautiful field and stadium for sure.

that's pretty much the way i heard it too. a tie would give baylor 2nd seed too. well no matter what both play in sectionals next week. webb needs a win to not have to travel to chattanooga next week again. go spartans!

Are you still coming to see Webb play at Baylor? Hope some Spartan fans come to Chattanooga to cheer on Webb. Baylor is very good and we could use alot of support guys.

Thanks for saying that coach. I would hope that people don't think that Alcoa would easily beat us. You have a very good team and it should be a good game. But Baylor is our concern and a much more important game to us this Thursday. I mean no disrepect akula21. You know I am saying that because it is a big region game for us.

I know that Webb, Baylor and McCallie are in the east part of the region. But with the new format this year combining both...what all teams are in the West part of the region. How are those standings looking. I know 5 combined teams advance to substate.

The way I understand it is top 5 seeds from a combined east/middle region advance. So a coin toss would not keep one of the top 2 seeds from going I don't think. It may control home field advantage though. Brackets are online at tssaa.org now.

OK....a hugh region game at Baylor May 1st as the Spartans travel to Baylor. Baylor and McCallie tied 0-0. McCallie beat Webb 2-0. A win by both Webb and Baylor is needed this week for sure. I really don't understand how the new region will play out since Middle/East is combined. I realize that we (Webb) can't get the top seed....but can get 2nd seed with a win over the Red Raiders. I know that Baylor can get top seed or 2nd seed with a win over Webb. Is it set up by goal differential? Do all 3 teams have an opportunity to advance? Alot is on the line as Webb plays both McCallie and Baylor in the next 2 weeks. Webb tied McCallie last year and Baylor beat McCallie to knock McCallie out of going to state last year. They will be hungry to try and keep the the Spartans out of state....but I think Webb will be ready. Prediction....Webb 2.....McCallie 1.

You are not being forced to read this. this is just alot of fans and actually people not involved with either school giving opinions. The players are not even responding and I am sure are focusing on the rest of their season. If everyone else is still interested they can post. You don't have to read.

Well this is a hugh game always in Chattanooga and in D2. We, Webb, have not played either yet but will soon. I know this is always a great game...based on it being at McCallie I will go McCallie 1-0..but it could easily be the other way.

I have heard that the game will most likely be played on May 1st at Baylor. Will be confirmed next week for sure.

Webb vs Baylor was cancelled due to us (Webb) having to traving from Knoxville in who knows what kind of weather. Generally this is done if one of the teams is traveling with horrible weather predicted. Had both been local teams we would have played as you did last night.

Yeah....i just found out it was cancelled about an hour ago. Will post when I hear a date....if anyone else hears the date please post it.
