Well said Dukefan. Even Carson-Newman went up to VT a few years ago and handed them a defeat by a 2 goal margin. People should look at every level.. The D1 D2 D3 NAIA are not comparable to other sports like football and basketball. The creme of the crop at every level can compete with any of the other levels.

Adam Griffith from Sullivan South in NE Tenn. Even though most speculative lists are comprised of almost exclusively Knoxville players he is one from the NE that is always overlooked. He is no question one of the best in the state.

The lowdown with Region 1 will come down to whether or not Sullivan South was a fluke or not. - They have a lot of new talent this year as well as a solid midfield. If the back 4 can hold I don't think another region slot is out of the question. You can never count them out after the run they pulled together last year. DB- They are full of talent. They are strong all over the field and have a solid coach. Also they posted two solid results against Farragut and Bearden. Morristown West- Seem to be the team to beat in the region, they have a lot of returning players, who have played together for a long time. They feel robbed about the PKs last year as the shot count vs Science Hill was fairly lopsided. Mo'West you would have to say are #1 or 2 at this point. Science Hill- Seem to be the dark horse in the region. Even with picking up Adelman they struggle for quality all over the field. No doubt they will need some big performances from Cutshall to have any chance of postseason success.

Sherrod is a great player but 43 goals freshman year should tell you he pads stats. He can finish but Carter plays in an awful league and scoring more than 3 a game is disrespectful if the game isn't close. 43 seriously. How come this is an All East TN but not one person from District 1 was mentioned? I believe TC was named from District 2 and thats it.

Hendersonville takes it easily 4-0 Oak Ridge is just out of their league.. H-ville is playing their best it will be tough to knock them off

OR 1-0 Sullivan South. OT game. Even game with chances both sides. Goal came in first overtime off of a defensive clearance that dropped in for a goal. Unfortunate way to go out but a goal none the less. Good luck to OR at state.

That sounds like to me an excuse for cheap play. I am all for aggressiveness but there is a difference in class between aggressive and cheap.

OR, Sullivan South, and West are all peaking at just the right time. The winner should have a legitimate shot at state. Any predictions on the game?

Definitely East. You can't argue with 6 of the last 7 state champions being from the east in AAA. Plus CAK and Catholic continually dominate their division. All from the East.

West 3-1 Oakridge. West after beating Farragut will have the confidence to take OR

South Will face Oak Ridge or West in the next round and beat OR 2-1 once this season. They are arguably playing their best they ever have so if there ever was a chance for them its this year.
