  1. No. I think he hasn't questioned the numbers because they're 100% accurate. I just think he will.
  2. Got it. But I think the main concern if for transmission to families and coaches etc. Not for the athletes themselves.
  3. Limbaugh and Musk. I actually think the president has to dispute the numbers to have a chance at reelection. I think he has to attempt to invalidate 137000+ deaths to have a chance. Im almost certain he will. But he'll do it to try to get that 2nd term. He responded to the SCOTUS rulings within minutes, and you think that he's waited 5 months to question that validity of case counts and deaths? At least we know he has your vote.
  4. How do you figure that things would be so different between HS and college? I'm not sure I understand.
  5. HS sports aren't going to be granted an exemption. It's a pipe dream. Pros and college have resources that HS don't that make that possible.
  6. The man tweets any thought that occurs to him. You think he's showing restraint on this one?
  7. If the numbers were bogus, the president would raise heck. I cannot stress this enough. Instead, he hasn't made a peep. He's even started wearing a mask.
  8. If you think covid has anything to do with corruption, you are part of the problem, and part of the mindset that may keep us from playing football.
  9. You- "...Nashville is only online until Labor day." Me - for now You- What about in New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia and Seattle where they were arm in arm by the thousands and many unmasked?? Me- Pretty sure they're going to school online too, but what in the world are you talking about?
  10. You do understand that whether you agree with the star # because it's not rivals, this area holds some of the best kickers in the country right? That's his point, and it's valid. Holds true for much of TN.
  11. Those aren't stats. That is literally a "They said". That's not even a fact.
  12. unless you were gonna use the scientific method, there is no difference.
  13. you don't think that the riots are in any way related to the pandemic? btw, there were arrests in Nashville. They were quite public. https://fox17.com/news/local/7-charged-in-connection-to-violent-riots-in-downtown-nashville
  14. No arguing with someone who thinks speculating and predicting are two different things. I will say this: the nature of these posts reflects that if what you are all saying is true, if schools are so integral to society and childrearing, then we ought to be paying educators a whole lot more. Right now we pay law enforcement considerably more than teachers. But you've as much as admitted that they can't help with the problems you've outlined. I don't really agree, but it's an interesting argument you've laid out there.
  15. Here's the thing. We don't know the cause of the uptick in domestic violence. Just as we don't know the cause of the uptick in shootings (see below). It could be sustained home time. It could be increased poverty. It could be increased illness and death. It could be the stress from all three. Your sheriff has no idea the root cause. He's speculating. But if the illnesses and deaths increase, the poverty will increase as well. The violence may also increase. We simply don't know. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/america-spike-gun-violence/2020/07/06/15508ac8-bfa0-11ea-9fdd-b7ac6b051dc8_story.html
  16. As someone with HS age kids, I can tell you this isn't true for everybody.
  17. You do realize that just because kids aren't dying doesn't mean they won't be transferring the virus to adults right?
