Redsman, also as an alumn of LHS I am discouraged by the state of LHS. If you will remember in the 2000s the county opened Wilson Central high school. In so doing they took the Southside students to Central and Lebanon High lost the student athlete that had true grit and work ethic. As a former athlete of LHS and assuming you are as well think back to those "great" teams. Who were the players that held it all together? I would dare so they were young men and women that cam from families that were a true family unit, instilled a work ethic in their children, held them accountable for their actions and supported them. The present LHS and society as a whole does not have a good representation of this today. When they took the "true" middle class from LHS and to Wilson Central the school has never been the same.
Ddevil1 - I can hear your frustration and understand your point. But not everything is truly as it appears! There are things going on that you don't know the whole truth about, I can guarantee it. The coaches are attempting to bring the program back to where it once was. That takes accountability, commitment, and dedication and these traits cannot be instilled or taught by a group of coaches for a few hours a day, but must come from the home. Today's student athlete is a totally different breed. Go talk to any of your "favorite" coaches and they will tell you that. These men need support from fans, parents, and staff, not finger pointing and ridicule.
