To win now days does not take "dominant" pitching but a consistent bullpen from top to bottom. And if you got a Pomeranz, Cain etc... good for the team, but they only throw one game every four days. Hard to get through state like that. Think you willl find that Bartlett, Collierville, and CBHS will fare well because of the depth of their bullpen. Have seen Martinez since he was twelve, and he has always been a consistent pitcher, justs get overshadowed because he is a great centerfielder. I too will be glad when district play starts. Collierville Has a pretty deep pitching staff. Pretty much will have every one of them back again next year. I believe that the Dragons start district play Thursday I believe against Ridgeway. Soon as a schedule is posted will put it up here.

Daymon Eriksen for Collierville pitched a great game. They did hit him on occasion but he never gave up. Has a strong future ahead of him. Wills on the CBHS side pitched a great game. For a while it looked as if the game could have been decided by one run. Overall was one of the best games of baseball played. Collierville I believe is now 27-3 going into District Play. Should be some good games to watch from here on out.
