  1. from the rumor mill in chatty ive heard that they are going to interview three guys? any truth to that sequatchie people? and bratt i dont think that you have anything to worry about with coaches leaving. thats the nature of the business sometime. the program will sell itself.
  2. kudos to coach hitch on winning the district. both game should be great on monday!
  3. i stand corrected. i forgot about the ccs game. and while i do agree that marion has had an incredible run these last four years, there have been some other teams from the area to do pretty good as well. lookout valley for sure has had a pretty good run too, and dont forget baylor won a title in 06 or 07. but nevertheless good luck to both teams in the region.
  4. wow. congrats to marion. 4 in a row is unheard of. probably the only team to go undefeated in regular season and post season play. at least in 6AA. congrats coach roberts and the boys. good luck to both in the region
  5. losers bracket is toast. nd eastridge bledsoe and grundy out. best two out of three. hixson vs sequatchie and marion vs ccs. one game championship. im guessing that the 1s are hosting.
  6. might have been a tough year for the tigers, but they competed a lot better i felt like. didnt know that this was a first year coach, but he seems to have them on the right track.
  7. i agree with you that central is the wildcard. they did win some huge games this year and i think coach carter must have a pretty good group of senior players. should be great games. lots of talent to go around
  8. winners bracket valley side marion v ccs losers bracket valley side grundy v east ridge winners bracket city side hixson v sequatchie losers bracket city side notre dame v bledsoe. and im pretty sure that the bases were loaded for the wildcats on the catch/no catch call with only one out. so the runner from third wouldve tagged im guessing?? and scored anyways. might be wrong on that...but the rest of the games went as planned.
  9. im taking SD and RB to go to the region. SD is too tough with mcwilliams, stephens, bair, price and haney. plus red bank always goes to the region. always. this year will be no different
  10. it seems that after yet another week of games marion has stayed in the drivers seat. havent seen them play, but have to be the best team after beating SCHS twice this week. i understand that they were two good games, and ive been very impressed the sequatchie this year as well. and dont look now, but the wildcats of hixson have snuck back into the number one spot on the city side as usual. followed by ccs, notre dame, then east ridge.
  11. without mcwilliams it def hurts SD. he is one of the top pitchers in the area. but i think that SD swings the bats a little better with stephens and bair, plus SD has a better defense. they always say that good pitching beats good hitting all the time, so it looks like now RB may have the upper hand. come tourney time it could be different. and i dont know the stott and lawson kids mentioned above, but what about christopher? does he not throw anymore?
  12. well based on the current poll. marion is # 6 in the STATE. nobody else in the district made the list. not even the east TN poll. not to mention the fact that they are the 3 time defending champ. its still theirs to lose...
  13. just by the looks of things so far... it seems that seqatchie and marion are going to fight it out for the title...and ccs has jumped both hixson and notre dame as the cream of the crop on the city side...still a lot of ball left to be played
  14. This is how i see it. 1st level- Marion County- say what you want, but until somebody else can prove that they can win the district they are still the best. 3 in a row? come on. and all from the losers bracket i believe. Champs again in 09 2nd level-Hixson and Notre Dame. both schools have new coaches and lost a ton from last year, but when it comes time to play ball they will both be around. 3rd level- CCS and Sequatchie. the chargers are always scrappy, but cant seem to get it over the top. maybe this is the year. as far as sequatchie goes...rumor has it they had a good showing in the scrimmage, and maybe they jump all the way to the top, but its like the one guy said earlier "until they actually win something..." 4th level- Grundy. better than the bottom three. 5th level. East Ridge, BC, and Howard.
  15. big time players step up in big time games. im going with coppinger, green, and the other 5 seniors from hixson on monday night. i have heard good things about the shaw kid from mcminn so it should be a good one to watch...
