Basketball is a very tough game to ref. we have all been on the good side and bad side of calls.

I did not even mention your coach by name. I think I used generic terms coaches and players for both teams. Be careful what I say?? I never said a thing about bad language? Let me ask you a question WWJD?

I agreed with you about the officials. Both teams have (as with all teams) kids that act out of character for their program. Coalfield can not match up with the athletes that Grace has. I hope both teams and COACHES represent what their institution stands for.

Talking about the class of Coalfield? Ask any coach that has played Grace this year and ask them about class.

The game got out of hand only because the refs let it. At the start of the game both teams were playing hard. I witnessed two thrown punches at different times durning the game in front of the white hat. The first one was one punch from one team with no response from the other player. White hat just said something to the player. Second time a punch was thrown another player flew in and he called off setting penalties. He had no control of the game.

Are we just protecting TSSAA refs? I did not say anything personal. I was just telling graceramfan a name if he wanted to send a complaint to TSSAA. I am sorry if I broke some kind of rule.

I am glad you filled everyone in on Rockwoods depth at pitching. So are you telling me that Rockwoods coaches just tanked this game? The game was not important? Two innings should be just a good bull pen session. It is early and I agree Rockwoods top two or three are tough. Rockwood is probally better overall than Coalfield. But not last night. In the future maybe.

I have been keeping up with this post from the start. We as adults should not bring kids into this board. Let the student athletes play they game. Let both teams win and lose with dignity and pride. Who knows next year a kid from each team could be in a humvee together in Irag defending our freedom. i do not think a football game will keep them from protecting each other and our freedoms. Good luck to both teams and good luck to the winner in the next round.

I guess without the errors (Knoxville News Sentinel listed OS with 2) it would have been a 3-0 blowout?????

In a game this year, The DH was listed in the 9 hole on the lineup card. During the game he batted in the 7th spot. He did not reach base until the 6th. When he did the other coach took the lineup card out to the ump and pointed it out. The ump told the coach," He has been doing it the whole game so we are going to let it go." The coach just shook his head and walked off.
