  1. whoops, sorry guess i have been playing to much madden football since my playing days....
  2. the final score was a tie 6-6. the white team scored with 5 seconds left. the two point conversion was no good and it was intercepted by zack gibson. he could have returned it but he stumpled and fell at about the 10 or 15.
  3. no actually they didnt, you missed what i was saying. what i was saying was yeah yall got base hits, but the strike zone was tiny. yall waited for a nice pitch and then roped them all night long. but it is hard to get people out when you cant get ahead in the count and stike them out or cause a ground ball because you cant find the strikezone.
  4. you know, this was an ugly game from the get-go. i dont want to make excuses, but the umps were terrible. they calls were bad both ways, but i believe they were even worse towards halls. some balls were 4 inches off the plate and called strikes, some were right on the corner and called balls. it was aweful. but anyways, good luck to the toppers in the boro, go and rep east tn.
  5. does anybody know where the field is? is it at the school or off campus?
  6. well i know this has no bearing on the game at hand, as well as every game is different. but farragut played science hill and beat them 11-1 and i believe run ruled it. farragut pitched the number 15 who pitched against us last night who we then proceeded to rock. now with all that said, that pile doesnt mean anything. so onto the game at hand. john clarke will be pitching and if we can keep our bats hot and we can get the timely hit and timely defencive plays, i look for the halls boys to head to the buro.
  7. well technically i guess you could run a slant pattern out just as easy as running it in. the out route goes up then with a 90 degree turn goes out, so why not just run at a 45 degree angle towards the corner
  8. i believe zabowski could be a great deep threat, he is fast and has the size. but i believe he needs to adjust to catching the football. it is alot different from playing catch with someone and trying to catch a slant over the middle with a defense. but i think he is started to ge the hang of it
  9. if you can count his grandparents then you might be on to somethin.... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  10. 0-10 /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. this is the reason no one likes powell. most of them can never say hey we lost, we had a good season, owell. but instead they are always making excuses and finding something to complain about "awww bo oh, we didnt win, i know why we didnt win, the scorekeeper didnt give us enough hits, whahhhhhhhhhhhh ;("
  12. thank you (i didnt want to come off like a jerk, just making a correction)
  13. i dont know if they will becuase halls' graduation is set for thrusday at 6 o'clock. and i believe faragut's is saturday. so would they play it on thursday anyway or play friday
  14. who cares how many hits there are, or what it says in the paper. If you ask me, the only column in the newspaper and the scoreboard that matters is runs
  15. i think you are right on, just b/c bearden finished 2nd, doesnt mean they are a lesser team. they played in another league, which probably was better than ours, so i think that arguement of they finished 2nd and we finished 1st is invalid.
  16. Well Coach Polston's dad is Bob Polston. I believe he was a coach there. I also believe he is in the Knoxville Sports Hall-of-Fame.
  17. I believe this will be a great game to see, and I will be there personally to see it. Farragut is an excellent team that has loads of talent. Halls is a team with a bunch of "hidden" talent that some teams seem to overlook sometimes. I suspect either David White to take the mound or Jared Burton to. Burton pitched the end of the game against Bearden, but I think he only pitched about 15 or 20 pitches maybe. I look for this game to be closer than most people may think.
  18. That center was #55 Josh Raby. I didn't pay too good of attention when he was on offense, but he did impress me on D. He stayed at home on a couple of reverse type plays and then proceeded to wrap up and take them down. He had several solo tackles as well. I didn't notice too many missed tackles overall by the D, except that one long run where we had them stopped up, and a sack that we let go about 6 yards deep and finally stopped him about 1 or 2 yards deep.
  19. i also think that shaddox will be a good player. sadly though he is out for the rest of spring and until the dead period because of a broken arm. he has to have surgery to get pins in his arm. i just hate to see anybody get hurt.
  20. we can get pretty hostile, if things dont go our way....but that is the same everywhere. I think it will be a good game, if John Micheal Clarke has his best stuff, and he is hittin his spots, then i look for the dev's to win it. But nonetheless it will be a great game to see.
  21. o well i guess i stand corrected, owell atleast we pitched a shut out, rumor had it that there was going to be scouts from auburn, mtsu, and some other college there for caleb. any body spot any of them?
  22. actually they did score once, i dont know if it was varsity or jv, but they did score once
  23. I grew up with Brent and played football and baseball with him up until the 8th grade when HE MOVED TO MARYVILLE!!!!!. Now his sister stayed in halls to graduate from halls. his grandparents still live in halls, but the brent and his family live in maryville so get off their backs!
