actually in gc's last game @ obion it was gc's second group that got gc going and a comfortable lead... some nights they're very deep and others they'll only play six or seven guys the majority of the night... as far as inconsistency in the post well i'm not really sure its as much as they're inconsistent as much as the guards do not always get them the ball as much as they should be... when them two get it inside its 90% of the time either points or free throws. now considering who the two teams playing tomorrow night are.... i'm assuming there will be ALOT of foul shooting going on. so i'm picking the team that hits the higher percentage from the line to win this one. gc by 1 in ot /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

lol if i'm not mistaken i believe 2 years ago it was milan vs gc in the christmas tournament championship... humboldt got beat by 17 by gc and ended up playin for 3rd lol so i dunno if u really cans ay "neither school really does anything"... an by the way i think humboldt beat dc this summer if i'm not mistaken is that correct?

i'd have to put ryne simpson in there instead of marshall... more consistency out of him and he's also a senior... and also i know he's not the best but a honorable mention to korenski simpson from trenton... kid can shoot from anywhere past half court lol...

yeah i have to agree... seen him play and all i saw was foul, foul, foul, put back on a miss by cj, then two more fouls... just doesn't play smart when he's on the floor... he'll be the biggest kid on the floor but definitely not as talented as reaves or masagna... i predict over 15 points for the both of em... and yeah lol it will be interesting to see how the 2 freshmen match up... alot of hype from both of em we'll see how it goes!

lol i think i figured out y fussel is so good... someone told me she plays ball with mj brown all the time lol i imagine that'd make anyone good... doesn't really surprise me though after watching her the other night she really plays more of a guy's game (not saying that as an insult) similar to poston from milan last year... i really think she could go big D1... it'd be nice to see her playing somewhere in the SEC!

true humboldt hasn't really played anyone yet... i do see that as a problem for them! maybe lake co. will test them tomorrow night...

if this game does get cancelled i dont think gc has another game til saturday or maybe friday... does dc have a game scheduled thursday?

some of gc's weaknesses... hmmmm sometime bad shot selection.... dribble drive defense... sometimes a lack of intensity however i doubt that will be a problem in a game of this magnitude... and free throw shooting lol that's a biggie... they lost 2 games that if they would have hit 15% more of their free throws they would of won both against ripley and henry co...

lol unexpected post from a dyer county fan... i was halfway expecting the whole well dc is goin to crush this team and all that mess... nice to see some classy fans out there gives me some hope for dc! probably the sign of a TRUE fan lol...

no not really... but with the way that all of these people are praising them i think that the fans themselves are fueling humboldt's motivation... lol which is good for the vikes! i'd pick humboldt in the game but i wouldnt call manassas an underdog if that makes sense... but yes if humboldt shoots well like i have seen this year then i doubt anyone in AA much less in A could beat them...

funniest thing i ever seen was last year @ chester co. when he missed a dunk and held on to the rim w/one hand while he tried to grab the ball and dunk it again w/the other lol... and got the technical of course...

i'm picking humboldt just too much size for the falcons to handle.... after first half: humboldt: 45 Lake co.: 41 final: humboldt: 91 lake co: 72

lol i'd like to see reaves or simpson get a dunk in a game this season sometime... josh can jump almost just as high as ralph but he tries to slam it like kobe when he tries to dunk an thats why he missed all them in games last year lol...

lol if humboldt can shoot the lights out like i've seen them on occasion this year then they will crush manassas.... jv team lol that's funny... haven't seen many jv teams with a 6"5" a 6"6" a 6"7" and a 5"9" guy that can windmill dunk... lol although ironically the 5"9" guy did play in a jv game the other day...

lol yeah gcpioneer i believe you was there cheerin the team on the whole time but honestly didnt most of the crowd leave after the girls game?? and the remaining ones for the most part were just dead. one thing that can get a player really fired up and playing hard is a good crowd to support em! come on gc there are other sports out there other than girls basketball! and yeah lol i was hopin he'd get the dunk on that one but a good defensive play by gilliam to tip it from behind... ha he came real close to dunkin on their big guy on one when he got a pass on the baseline... lol i'm expecting him to posterize someone before the season is over...

big game for first place in district tuesday between gibson and dyer county @ dc! should be interesting to see how gibson handles cj's dribble penetration and how dyer county handles gc's post game. good luck to both teams

west tennessee 1. liberty (beat humboldt on play day from what i hear) 2. humboldt (huge and VERY athletic) 3.north side (Mr. Prather is a BEAST) 4.dyer county (fast and talented pg but i was told got drilled by north side this summer) 5.bolivar (dont know much bout them but heard the reaves kid was good) 6.jcm (very athletic and quick) 7.henry county (big and can shoot pretty well) 8.lake county (russel avery possibly mvp of 14a and a few guards that are lightning fast!) 9/10.westview/gibson county westview: (3 point shooting at all five spots with a VERY talented sg in jacob lloyd) gibson county: (new coach w/new philosophy. best post in district in masagna. ahead of oc because of win last night. possibly interchangeable w/westview bc gc lost to henry by 4 where as westview lost to them by i believe 11.)

yeah i'd have to say the bullseye is on gc's back... since they won the region last year... and yeah i do think gc will lose one or two this year to obion or westview just because they always play each other tough... and as for the whole state thing well i just wonder last year if the reason they lost so badly was because of first time jitters or because of being flat out less talented... i'm hoping this year if they get there they will know more of what to expect and will be better prepared.

lol yeah like three weeks ago all these people were just like oh man usj is going to be great this year!!! lol now i can say "i told ya so"... but at least they're young so they have plenty of time to improve!

oh an by the way sharshaw... last night the boys game was arguably a game between the #2 and #3 team in 13aa... and more than half of gc's crowd left after the girls game... and the ones who stayed didn't bother cheering... sad to see some things still haven't changed and probably never will!

they seeded milan #2 ahead of gc at #3 in the christmas tourney lol... not sure why but it'll definitely be motivation for the pioneers! good luck in the humboldt rematch on a neutral floor!
