lol bigchief, actually they did, the girls played hard, and held their own but McEwen eventually overpowered them. They even got Andrea out in foul trouble, but McEwens bench is deep. The WHH boys played their hearts out. This was a game of whoever wants it worst is gonna get it, and HC was riding high after deafeating CA, it carried them thru.

Well, I'm rooting for all the teams out of 10A. GO BOYS GO

Nope, the middle school games I saw, Waverly got beat. And it was Waverly Middle. Your girls are rough rough rough, e1 in the district knows it, you know it too. worst team for throwing elbow in the area, But they cry when its give back to em.

1 question.... did you play in our alumni game? I just saw you walking last night, but during the McEwen game, you sat behind the scorers table????

I dont hate Waverly, but I do think they are mean spirited girls, they are a very rough team, some of them I have watched play since middle school, and they were mean back then too. And I agree, Carr can be a horses behind, but his girls aren't. So don't go hating on Cheatham because of the girls......... they are good girls who play hard, the seniors want this tourney win bad, and they will win it. If I am wrong, I am wrong, but I still say Cheatham gets the win. And btw, I do not live in Cheatham County, they are not my home team.

I TOLD yall HC was hungry!!! Congrats to the boys, job WELL DONE!!!! District 10A Champions!!!! it was an awesome moment when Spurgeon got that last rebound, the happiness in Dillards face, this, his senior year, to win the district tourney , it was a thrilling night.

We ( HC ) will " bring it", as to the girls game, I see McEwen by 15. Why mock CA? They are a great ballteam, no need to get ugly. We know yall are going to try and shut Dillard down. So did CA. Good luck to both teams.

He played well, maybe 2 quarters total, conditioning didnt seem to be a problem, but he did foul out.

Melton, CA is an awesome ballteam, no doubt. They should go far into the rest of the season. HC is playing the best basketball they have played all year, as I said in an earlier post, they are hungry. I am hoping for that tourney championship win, but either way, they have made me proud.

WHH defeats ER McEwen defeats HC Prediction for tomorrow night........... McEwen by 12

We were up at the end of the first quarter, outplayed em that quarter. dont remember by how much, up by 4 at the half. CA came out after half, played like a house on fire, caught us, went up by either 7 or 8, but the boys never gave up, Cooksey played the game of his life, Skelton took it to em, Dillard shook loose and hit his shots, Barnes, Featherstone played like there was no tomorrow, but I think what really won it for us was our back line......... Skelton, Kizer, and Spurgeon, rotating in and out and all together at times.. Monroe played 2 minutes maybe, and the younger Featherstone boy played some, but we out rebounded them, took it to Malcolm, and just played BASKETBALL. Cooksey hit BIG freethrows at the end, Cooksey got fouled, then one of the CA players did something and got a T. Cooksey hit both his free throws, and Dillard hit one of his on the T. . They came down and hit a 3, but it was too late. 6 seconds ( I think ) left, we ran time out. We won by 1. It was an awesome game. Both teams played their hearts out. LC told the boys before the game " Remember the pressure isnt on US, its on THEM" . Win, Lose, or draw tomorrow night, I am so proud of the boys I could bust.

True, getting Malcolm in foul trouble could help, he does tend to lose his cool, but then you have Martin, and the other CA boys hitting those 3's, CA is a very balanced team, but HC has really started playing team ball, offense and denfense.Skelton has been stepping up, getting more aggresive,Kizer, Corey Featherstone, Monore too. If we can shake lose and Dillard can play his usual great game, we may be able to do it. I know they aren't gonna lay down and give it to them. As I said before, HC is hungry. Should be a good game.

Spurgeon got released from his doctor just yesterday, glad to have him back, but hes not practiced with the team since he went out with the injury, hopefully he will see some time this weekend. I dont know about him handling Malcolm though, hes quicker then Spurgeon, and he would probably foul out tryin to guard him.

Those girls always show up to play, nice team, good players. HC girls aren't gonna lay down and give it to em though, looking forward to the game.
