That is not the bottom line in a format like that and you know it. You look at how you players handle situations and formations. There are no game plans or film work. It is not the score in scrimages, it is how your kids play. Come on, you know better then to think a 7-0 score means much right know. And if you feel that Hillsboro was the best team on that feild, that just silly talk.

I just got back from the scrimmage an to some it up it was sloppy. I will say that Smyrna looked to have better talent and more size but very un-disciplined. Our #1 defense jump offside at least 5 times in the 1st 2 sets of plays. Very phisical but had a tough time with their slats. #1 Smyrna offence look very powerful. Big up front (I mean big) and very quick and shifty backs. #1 QB is a big question mark. He did not look to have a great arm. Floated up a lot of balls and never look like he had a grasp of what his receivers were doing. The #2 QB seem to have a better arm and much better footwork. I'd like to see him with the #1's next week for a look. Hillsboro was fasts and not very big. As i stated before they ran the slant very well and broke 1 for a TD but as a whole Smyrna's #1's look much better. I will say this from a Smyrna fan. We better become much more discipline and tackle better. It looked like we hit well but did not rap up very well. Offence needs to sure up a little passing game but the running game is 2nd to none. All and all I'd say Smyrna Bulldogs will be fine and should be right back in the hunt for a 3rd 5A championship game.

Im not %100 sure but i think Smyrna is a Nike sponsored team. How about that match up. Shoud put some butts in the seats.

Will do. It will be good to get a look at a match up with such good talent. We should know a lot after tonight. Not that tonight is that important but it will give us a look.

Man am I'm pumped for that weekend. Friday I will travel to see the 5A Back to Back Camps open it up in Murfreesboro then Sat night, go to SEC county for a great matchup of HS programs. Can it get any better in Mid TENN. I can fell it in the air, the "click clack" of the spikes, the crack of the pads. It will be here soon!

It always nice to see a TN team in the National ranking and Maryville seems to be in there year in and year out. A question to Maryville fans thow is have they ever mixed it up with any of the powerhouses in the nation like teams in Ohio, Florida or TX. I know there is a Herbstreet Classic matchup during the season and would love to see how they'd match up in that. Or even see a match up with TN powers like MDA or BA. Love to hear your thoughts

I know they had a young sophmore fill in for Sonny when he was hurt in the BA game but he did not show much because they went to and i formation and pounded the rock the rest of the game. I heard at a baseball game that they got a transfer from Beach (I Think). I not sure what they have at QB. Im going to see tomorrow at Hillsboro.

I'm new to this and have not heard much from the Back 2 Back Champ's (Smyrna camp). I heard all the false talk of stars leaving and folks not liking the new staff. But from what I hear they are stacked again. Nice backs and strong defence is what we will lean on. I know Sonny and Rod are moving on but I fell that we will be right back in the hunt. Not with Star performances but team effort. Lets hear it HS football fans. Is there any body that's counting out the Bulldogs on a 3 Title?
