  1. Well I'd say you're right and they will be lucky to have them (the family). Might be some disowning if they come to FC! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Either way he will be an assett on and off the field.
  2. If it's who I think it is, they are a great family. I really doubt we will get them enrolled at FCS, but stranger things have happened.
  3. So what's the word on this??????????????????????
  4. He is good in fact he has been an "angel".
  5. I of course have no idea about any of this, but I do hope the boys can hang in there. It has to be discouraging week in and week out. Any kid has to be getting the blues. They deserve respect for sticking it out. Here's hoping RBS can pull it together for many great seasons in the future. See you Friday when the Big Green rolls into RBS.
  6. Well there's a lot more to being a good player than running fast. That said....I agree with you.
  7. WOOOOW! Someone's got their bloomers in a bunch! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Fact is....all that really matters at the moment is this year. Not last year or next year or last decade. Settle down..... We all know Gordonsville will bounce back to the top notch program they always have been. FYI...I'm lookin for the Tigers to beat Monterey Friday night.
  8. This should be a great game. I haven't seen Gordonsville this year, so my prediction doesn't mean much, but I'm saying Gordonsville pulls out the win. And by the way, we're not hurtin without Rickaway (all due respect).
  9. FCS wants to make up for last year and Monterey will be gunning for us! Our boys better not overlook them. We need to get our boys well and be ready. GO GREEN!
  10. Agreed. Are we healthy except for Dunn?
  11. I couldn't agree more. Guess I took it wrong. Thought you were saying that the seniors weren't leading well. I'm sure they could improve, but I think this years seniors are a great group, as you said. You're right that we could have lost to Watertown and it would have made their season and probably destroyed ours. One game at a time.......absolutely. All the hype about week 9 doesn't help them stay focused on the game at hand however. I think we have mush more potential than we showed Friday night.
  12. I agree that they have to be leaders and step up every game. I just wondered if vegasgold was saying they see it as a problem.
  13. Time for the seniors to step up? I'm not sure that is a problem. Why do you say that exactly?
  14. I don't even know who LCA is, but I hope RBS beats you like a drum. What a sorry post.
  15. That's right....Clay plays RBS right? Game is in Watertown.
  16. Clay County isn't a bad football team. We just couldn't get going and they run a lot of blitzes on defense which seemed to cause us some confusion. We also got a lot of penalties called (not good calls IMO). Guess we regrouped at halftime. WHERE ARE ALL THE H2O people??????????????????????? MO$$......do ya'll have Clay COunty this week?
  17. Should be a good game. Hope FCS comes away with the win and both teams come out injury free.
  18. I don't know the ins and out of your program, but I do know that those boys have to have heart to keep going without getting discouraged. DOn't take that wrong. I'm not bashing RBS, I'm seriously saying that it has to be disheartening for the players and fans. I would love to see your program make strides. Those boys obviously love the game and are very loyal to their school and fans. Best of luck from FCS.
  19. Not sure why it's listed as Thursday, but the game is friday night.
  20. We will just have to agree to disagree, but I will say this.......I do not like the fact that kids from other schools are on any of our teams. Not because I think we are somehow superior to these kids(it isn't personal), but because it leaves lots of FCS kids sittin on the bench. I have heard the reasons that it is done and maybe they are valid and maybe you are right about "soliciting', I don't really know. All I know is that lots of people are paying tuition and their kid is ridin the bench while someone else is geting the playing time. Doesn't really matter what I think or what you think because it ain't gonna change. All I want is for our boys to have a little respect for what they do on the field. These policies don't have anything to do with how hard they work or how much heart they leave on the field. Good luck to all the schools and may everyone come out injury free this week and every week.
  21. Got out the old yearbook just to make sure. Yep all players were students. I believe our current 8th graders were on the first team that allowed kids from other schools to play.
  22. Thanks for at recognizing that my post has merit. But, I think I'll see if I can't find that roster for ya. Can you give me a name of someone on that team that wasn't a student? If I'm wrong, I'll surely give it to you, but I'm gonna need a name.
  23. Some of the posts on here from both sides amaze me. It never fails that we can't just talk football. Not that my post is going to be given any credence but here goes. First of all, as for the 5th and 6th grade teams, you are right that CURRENTLY and for a FEW years now ur team consists of not only FCS kids but others as well. However, at the time that our current varsity players played, that was not the case. You can argue, but I've been around for a while and those are the facts. Second, every school has their jerks. FCS does and I would argue that they can be found anywhere. Also, FCS and all other schools have very kind down to earth people. You can find your jerks every where you go. As for the fact that we play in a "weak" region, that is just absurd. No one gets to choose their region. It is what it is. Are we better than all the other schools, regions, etc., of course not. However, our boys play hard just like the rest no matter how much money they do or don't have(not everybody there is rich), where they live, what region they play in. They put their pads on just like the next kid and go out day in and day out and work hard. Can't they get a little respect for being a student athlete just like the other kids? Most of us here are adults. Can't we act like it and just talk about football and not the politics of it all?
  24. Don't know who the person is that wrote this, but thanks for embarrassing everyone here at FCS! Everyone else, please know that this person does not represent what we stand for. Here's hoping both the injured players are recovering well. Please let us know how they are.
