The field was good. Jim Carell gave a generious gift of $2.7 million dollars to put down turf, a track, bathroom, concession stand, spirit store, pavillion, and a donor room. One good thing is that they will still serve Center Point Bar B Q at the concession stand!!

Pope John Paul II HS will open the season Friday, August 19th, against Stratford in their new $2.7 million football stadium. The new facilities include field turf, concession stands, bathrooms, and track. The facility is the best one in Sumner County. I think they are letting all middle schoolers in for free with an autographed t shirt from former JPII star and current NFL wide receiver Golden Tate! Click the link below... Area businessman Jim Carell announced today that he will fund the building of concessions, outdoor bathrooms, a turf football field and a track to support the JPII athletic program. Mr. Carell was at JPII on the occasion of the blessing of new weight equipment he had just helped the school purchase and made the surprise announcement to the coaches and players at the end of the ceremony. He also funded the new state of the art weight room equipment.
